Showmasters Admin showmasters Posted January 18, 2013 Showmasters Admin Share Posted January 18, 2013 We visited the Don football stadium yesterday and had a tour of the newly built parts and WOW, there is a lot to see and many new parts that are going to be really great to use at future events. This is the very large main hall which will be around the same size as the old hall in the shopping centre which will be finished by August this year ready for our October event, as we are going back to running two events a year like we used to now that we have this space. 1 of 3 balconies that will overlook the main hall. This is going to be very cool looking over the show, these balconies are as big as the old room at the hockey stadium where we first had parties and the James masters talk, so they are quite big and a great place to do new things in such as displays or photo ops. A very useful space. Looking down on the outer ring that we use every year. Looking down from the new enclosed upper outer ring. This is the walkway for all the seats on the upper tier. This space is totally enclosed and goes around the inner stadium which means we now have twice the amount of space on the ring. This new 50% is enclosed and this view will not exist soon as these floor is being filled in, which also means the old ring will be totally enclosed all around the stadium, apart from the side facing the pitch. We plan to enclose this the same way as we normally do. All in all its turning into a really great event and we are getting ready to ramp up this show as we have been on hold for the last few years and now we can get back to expanding and getting the bigger guests to events more times a year. The view from the very top of the stadium looking down on the incomplete seats You can just see the first of four mega screens that are going into each corner of the stadium which we will also be able to use at future events. This is where the new rooms of the hotel are going in as we speak, which when it comes online will take the number of rooms up to 300 circling around the stadium making it a really cool place to run events late into the night, with really cool parties with guests and lots more. At the end of the day we really wanted to have a venue that we can go out to town on and show you what we have in mind for the future of our events. We started the signing events over 10 years ago it was free to entire and the guests have been second to none. Now with this venue coming online over the next few months just get ready for the next level. Milton Keynes is my home town and we have something to prove here and we plan to shine so get ready for the beginnings of a world class event. We are Showmasters and this year we will live up to our name. we are all very excited here as now we can just go for it. Upper inclosed ring will be in use for our May event creating 100% more space for signings, photo ops and traders. Of course once it's open then the cold wet and miserable CM weekends that we have got used to will be hot and stifling and we'll probably all wish we were back outside again!
