nicky
Fright Night (2011) I just saw this and thought it was awful. It was boring, bland, slow-paced and average at best. I like the original but wouldnt call myself a fan. I'm not even comparing the remake to the original - i thought the remake was just bad as a stand alone film. No character development at all, no backstory or motive or plot, not enough Evil Ed or Peter Vincent and no chemistry between Tenant and Yelchin. Toni Colette hardly did anything and the jokes were poor. It was just so average and pointless and added nothing new to the original or the genre. Siriusly.Black
The only thing I watched recently (that some people may call scary) was Devil and tbh, I wouldn't call it a horror :/. It was ok, I guess.

GoldenGreen
I finally watched the original "Black Christmas" the other day, well worth watching as an early example of this type of Horror Movie. I saw Scream 4, bit disappointed in that to be honest but it was interesting seeing it having just watched Black Christmas to spot the Horror Movie Rules !!! I saw Woman in Black at the Cinema a few weeks back, enjoyed that more than I thought I would. And also finally saw Twins of Evil on the Horror Channel, one of the Hammer films I have never managed to see.

GoldenGreen
Another thread back from the grave in Halloween month ! I've seen a couple of classics this week. The Omen (1976) The Wicker Man (1973) And a not so classic Omen IV (1991) which I have never seen and I realised why after the first few minutes, It was late when I started watching it, and I fell asleep !!! andini
Was off work sick for a few days this week, so caught up on a lot!! 100 Bloody Acres is an excellent Aussie horror-com. Curse of Chucky - Very good, return to form for the series. +1 - More of a scifi but had the Timecrimes / Triangle angle to it Resolution - Had heard good things but just OK Don't go to The Reunion - decent no budget retro slasher All Superheroes Must Die - no budget superhero movie taken into Saw territory - better than reviews would suggest Among Friends - OK directorial debut from Danielle Harris Ghoulies (1985) - ouch not good :-)
