Kell
I meant a jerky strip but I'm glad you clarified you wouldn't put a dog in your mouth either And CPGirl's, are you telling us you like dog food? noooo! but they do on scooby doo! I was worried you were confessing it to us not the best way to make friends really... I preferred the 'Blink' episode

And can someone explain Dr Who to me? I really don't get the new ones What's with flying Daleks?

POTATOES
This took me ages to understand what i was doing, so enjoy! I think you'd be surprised at how open some people are to the newbies I'll be honest, I'm not one of them. I don't use the forum as much as I used to so I don't make any effort with newbies. I've got a good group of mates that I hang out with at the events and if that's seen as a 'clique' then that's fine. It honestly doesn't bother me. I'll be the first to admit that I'm awful with making new friends. But this forum isn't what it used to be. It used to be a lot more 'alive' and everyone was regularily posting on here. With the rise of myspace, livejournal, facebook and other socialising websites, this forum has died down. But that doesn't mean some of us aren't willing to make the effort, it just takes a little longer to get to know people these days. Plus we're a fussy old bunch, we appreciate the fine art of proper English. I cringe when some of these young'uns come on here and type everything in text speak and half in capitals. And I know there's other people who feel the same about that. As for the rest of what you said earlier, regarding people who defend Showmasters, well I don't really have much of an opinion about that. I don't read the posts where people are slagging off Showmasters and their events. Or if I do, I don't respond. There's always gonna be something that upsets someone. Showmasters aren't perfect, they do their best and sometimes it doesn't work out. It's a shame when people are left disappointed for whatever reason but there's very little point in coming on here and slagging Showmasters off for it. I'm not saying you do but there are others who do just that. A bit of contructive criticism is fine and I'm sure appreciated because it helps Showmasters to make changes to avoid disappointment. But when a guest cancels or an event has to be cancelled, something which they can't fully control then what good is it telling them how angry you are about it? They know they're letting people down. So they try to rearrange guests and get them for a different event. May I just say, this isn't a personal attack on you. This is just my opinion, which I didn't realise I had And as for Indio creating this thread to just to tell David he's a jerk? Then pick other random people to question their usernames? It's brilliant. What does it achieve? Absolutely nothing. Well done to Indio for creating a thread that's given people a laugh. I wonder what his next trick will be I'm not sure what my point is anymore, I've just ended up rambling because it's Monday and I'm bored. I've never seen you write so much Depends where you're from clicky or cliquey! Anyway like I said I don't really care one way or another. I have no intention of making friends (I'm a miserable old bu$$er!). I don't react to SM announcements in a negative way either just for someone who said this earlier - I agree if you don't like the guest then don't go or don't see them - end of. You will find that most of my comments are positive or pointless!! I also agree with Kell that there is too much text speak - like I say I'm over 30 so don't understand half of it - it's made worse when it's done with caps lock on too!! David - like I said I have nothing against you - I don't know you so have no right to judge whether you're a jerk or not!! Anyway I thought this was about Indio!! I thought it was about David being a jerk I can clap my hands and do seal(ion) impressions. I don't think that helps, but it's kinda relevant to dolphins .. sort of .. not really Can you sing kiss from a rose from me?

Gerrysgirl
I also agree with Kell that there is too much text speak - like I say I'm over 30 so don't understand half of it - it's made worse when it's done with caps lock on too!! Anyway I thought this was about Indio!! How about forming the over 30 anti text speak clique? We could all be miserable old gits together then And why make it all about indio (no capitals, please)? It's far more fun without him Edited for spelling and punctuation - I'm not giving anyone the chance! I want to join the 'No Text Speak' Clique!!! I watched Doctor Who again this week! Totally random comment but true How totally awesome was this week's episode?? Oh and David.......... You're a jerk
Showmasters Admin showmasters Posted June 18, 2007 Showmasters Admin Share Posted June 18, 2007 My biggest gripe at the moment is that after pulling out of one event SM are putting loads of SW guests into another which for people like me who have already shelled out for the first one really pi$$es me off (as I can't afford both) - anyway off topic. Take It easy all, Darren Hi Darren well if we did not put them into lfcc then you would not get to see them at all its seems to be up to us to put on a show that brings new unseen guests to the fans Jason sorry off topic I hate david, he touched me too many times... how many times is too many ? just so as i know for the future not that i would, well i might but not too many maybe one or two times less then too many well you know what i mean ;-D jason You dont have a limit haha I KNOW Jason

TommyT
We should make a checklist of accusations commonly made by forum members, and then in each argument we could tick them off [x] Someone insults DavidB. [x] A mention of how Christopher Lee/other guest was NEVER coming, and it's all a conspiracy. [x] Cliques. [x] Guest criticism. [x] Something weird from Mr Stabby after he's not posted for AGES. [x] Jason posting at a silly time in the morning. [x] TommyT writing something really long/in depth/complicated/clever/etc. w@nker! Posted in the interests of restoring the really short/shallow/simple/dumb/etc balance
