I was one of the last gaggle of insane fans that saw him on the Sunday evening at CM4, and he was still smiling and happy and responsive to comments, even though you could tell he was knackered from signing all day. Mr. Wood Is very good At these signing shows. He'll sign forever, Despite the weather, And that's because he knows, Whether destroying the ring, Or in a city of Sin, His fans will alway matter to him! (Bet you're thinking what the... . You will see him soon. A friend of mine managed to chat to him about his love of UK bands such as The Stone Roses and Happy Mondays...he knows his music! Big fan of The Ramones and The Pixies too! He even thought "The Darkness rock"! Well that was in 2004 and the second album hadn't come out of course! Unless he has undergone a metamorphosis into an arrogant waste of space (like many actors of much less calibre than he!), he will be good fun. Lets just put it like this; at the Green street event in London last august, the event had no barriers, so elijah could not come outside, so they invited most of the fans inside to meet elijah. he stood in the foyer chatting and signing! He was fantastic. I don;'t know of many actors that would do that for their fans, if it was not safe to come outside then that would be the end of it! emma_w Posted March 19, 2006 Share Posted March 19, 2006 He is by far the best guest I have met so far, i got to meet him on the monday afternoon, i was very lucky as i was one of the last let through, He was the sweetest guy ever and he loved the gift i got him. He has the most amazing eyes and smelt lovely. I got to have a quick chat with him and said that ive been a fan since Huck Finn and I said 'I know its a bit cheeky but could I possibly have a hug' and unlike some guests who say no, he just said 'yeah sure, its not a problem' only downside was the security guard put my camera down as i hugged him, i was gutted. He came out from behind the table so he could sit next to a young girl in a wheelchair as he chatted to her. I was also one of the last few people to have a photo with him and he was pretty cool as he came down the line to everyone so we didn't have to lean over the table. My mates also met him at the Green Street screening and they reiterate what Poppy said about him inviting fans into the foyer of the cinema so he could meet them. People will moan but 1) lots of people will want to see him for an auto (which is the main point of the show anyway) and 2) SM will need the numbers through for obvious financial reasons. He's lovely. Hope he does a talk, cos he's a funny guy, and doesn't shy away from telling some close to the knuckle kind of stories. Is it July yet? You'll need to be there at opening time (9am Sat, 10am Sun) to stand a chance of meeting him. I would suggest getting there an hour before opening if you really want to meet him.
