tametammy Posted November 24, 2005 Share Posted November 24, 2005 Ok......so as most of you knowboth myself and my mum Debbie have agreed to take on the role of trying to get the coach arranged to take us to Manchester.... Ofcourse it is going to take some organisation so thats why we need to know asap which people want to return either on sunday or monday........ We really need to know as soon as possible what day people want to come back. the amount of people that want to use the coach....we need a minium of 40 people to make this work....... people let stuart know....... as far as we know the first pick up is going to be in london......then hopefully off to Milton Keynes....need to know where the majority of people to live so we know where to do pick ups from..... Stuart Posted November 25, 2005 Share Posted November 25, 2005 The coach can either come back down Sunday night, after the show has finished (so everyone would have finished their show duties), or Monday. Showmasters can't, unfortunately, pay for an additional night for people, which might be a deciding factor for people trying to make the decision as to when to come back; I can check into discounted rates for Sunday night, but I wouldn't want people to rely on me getting any when trying to choose departure dates. On pick-up points, while in theory this is a private hire and thus can be chosen at will, I'd presume that it still would have to be on the route from London to Manchester - e.g. pick ups in London and along the M1 up to the point where the M6 diverges, then along the M6. Coming back Sunday night would be fine if that's what other crew would prefer. I find that most peeps wish they'd booked to stay the extra night, no matter where the con is held. We want to go on socialising together and winding down after a hard (!!) weekend's crewing. I live in PETERBOROUGH. Hope this won't be a problem. By the time the coach gets to London on Sunday my train will have absconded so I'll be staying in Manchester until Monday whatever happens.
