'Twas the night before the con

'Twas the night before the con, when all through the house

not a creature was stirring not even a mouse.

The dealers were packing their stock with care,

in hopes that Showmasters soon would be there.

Mark and Jason were nestled all snug in their beds,

while visions of happy fans danced in their heads.

And Andrea in her 'kerchief, and Stoat in his cap,

had just settled their brains for a brief pre con nap.

When across Milton Keynes there arose such a clatter,

I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter.

Away to the window I flew like a flash,

tore open the shutter, and threw up the sash.

The moon on the breast of the newly constructed tables

gave the lustre of midday to objects from films and fables,

when, what to my wondering eyes should appear,

but thousands of fans?....and more to the ear.

And after the con, KB gave a whistle,

And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.

But I heard Showmasters exclaim, 'ere they drove into the night,

"See you at LFACC, it will be out of sight!"

;)

I saw recently on the forum that people are getting very excited and are really looking forward to the weekend. For some it is getting a bit too much, and I was going to crash one of the arguing threads and go all Mace Windu on the assembled masses ;)

I thought that a little ditty would be much better. I found the words to a popular Christmas poem and carefully edited a SM one. Sure, it is not December, but I guess the sentiment is the same.

2 and a half weeks to go!

I am glad everyone enjoys my little ditty. I am a poet and did not even know it!!

Will try to think up/plagerise some others.
