  1. All my Saturday photo shoots apart from Adam Baldwin clash i think. I have Ben Browder, Jewel Staite, Chris Judge, Mitch Pileggi. I also have to use a walking stick so running from one to the other is not an option could someone from showmasters Advise me what i should do?
  2. Lucky you!!! :) I've never heard of celebrities kissing people at chevrons! I should stay up later at parties next time! haha! :) Which chevron was this just out of curiosity? :) The last group of guests at Chevron were particularly huggy, i think Amanda Tapping must have hugged everyone in the entire hotel at least once lol I love the q&a's, i usually laugh until my face hurts. the pictionary and quiz where two guests pick a team of 2 attendees each to help them. The photo ops, and autographs Meeting great new people who love stargate too
  3. Yes, i agree that is one solution but it would be nice not to have to ask for assistance everytime you want to do something as simple as sitting down. I have asked at other events only to be told there was nothing they could do about it.
  4. Hi Jason, I think this needs to be seriously considered. Yes everyone would like to take a load off during the day and maybe they can manage if they don't. However you also have to take into account that you have disabled attendees who actually need to be able to sit down at some point just to make it through the day and sitting on the floor for someone with a disability which limits their muscles use or who has joint problems is not really an option.
  5. That's such a lovely story. i missed mini leia. If we bump into her at LFCC we'll be sure to say hi.
  6. I just wanted to say a really big thank you to the guests at Collectormania, especially on Sunday, as it was so incredibly cold and wet. It must have been uncomfortable for them but they kept smiling. Kudos.
  7. My pleasure :-) forgot to say that in the Centre by Marks and Spencer there is Kispy Kreme and on the side near House of Fraser and Marks there is Jamie Oliver's restaurant and Wagamamas. down by John Lewis there is another Pizza Express.
  8. I can't eat any of the food in the stadium or fast food joints (well i can eat in Maccy D's if they specially cook something for me but I don't like asking when it's really busy) because of medical reasons so I'm used to planning my meals in advance. As Asda is open 24 hours, except for Sunday, it may be a good idea to pick up and few bits for lunch before you go into the stadium. Pre-packed fresh fruit and salads are good. If you can eat them sasuage rolls or cheese and onion rolls are good and there's always the good ol' prepack sandwich. If you have time in the day or In the evening there's loads of nice places to go in Central Milton Keynes, (the shopping centre area.) Queens Court had Destination Dining http://www.thecentremk.com/Destination-Dining The Hub http://www.thehub-miltonkeynes.com/Directory The Theatre District http://www.theatre-district.co.uk/ And Xscape building. http://www.xscape.co.uk/milton-keynes
  9. I would highly recommend Matthew Bennett (Jared Kane in sg-1) as a guest. He's one of the most generous, entertaining, funny, honest and giving actors I've met. Just out of curiosity, do these suggestions actually get passed on to Massive Events and Showmasters?
  10. Excellent! i now have a reason to go, i can't wait!
  11. Yeah I was starting to wonder when it would be released too.

    Parties

I really like that idea. It gets my vote
  13. I really tried to get into SGU and watched the whole first season but then decided to call it a day. There were only a couple of characters I cared about, i didn't like the concept of the communications stones, I  missed the fact that a Stargate can dial in to anywhere in the galaxy, it kind of made it exciting and added a faster pace to sg-1 and sga,  imo. I also think one of the key points to shows i love is that they don't take themselves too seriously and have a bit of humour to them, ie Buffy, Angel, Torchwood, Doctor Who, Sg-1, Sga, Farscape, they all manage to have great dark dramatic episodes but also inject a bit of humour. As I understand it SyFy offered the show-runners either a fifth season of sga and one season of sgu or two guaranteed seasons of sgu. We all know what happened next so i can see why some people were upset but thems are the breaks. I just really miss the sg1 sga kind of sci fi show on my tv. The other day there were only 3 channels playing sci fi shows and nothing that was under 10 years old.Â
  14. Love the photos! Apologies for not linking seeing you this time with 7.7 at the parties - I only did when I got home! Doh! No problem Loving the photos everyone
  15. Here's the link to my photo's. http://www.flickr.com/photos/niki_noo/sets...57629476890065/
  16. I think that's a really good idea. I mean, we all want the Chevron events to go on for as long as possible, let's get the word out there. I did a one page review for Chevron 7.7 in the January edition of SciFi Now magazine, does that count ? lol
  17. To be honest I found that because the hotel was so much bigger than The Park and everything is spread out a lot more the weekend was a struggle for me physically. I can't tell you how much I appreciate the help getting into the hall and also the people who took my stick in the photo ops and made sure I had it handed to me on the way out. The little things like this really do make a difference when you have to ration your energy and pick and chose what you can do. One thing I would like to suggest is that as well as the winning raffle tickets for the guest encounter being pinned on the wall that the numbers are announced in the hall as well. I know it may seem like a quick trip out to the atrium to check the tickets but for someone with walking or fatigue issues it's like walking a mile or two. I did suggest this on Sunday at the desk but was advised it wasn't the way it was done.
  18. Thank you so much to everyone at Chevron. I had an awesome time. Amanda was incredible, I was completelt star struck. Robin was hilarious, I was literally crying with laughter and a very good sport much respect to him. Loved the Bickersons. Peter's impression of Robert Carlyle was brilliant. Tom and Garry had some great stories.
  19. As always I'd like to meet any major players from SGA. as I've not been to all the Chevrons I've only met Joe and Torri.
  20. Hi Elwe, I would suggest you maybe contact the hotel and ask them directly. I've got a feeling they may say no but it'sworth asking someone at the hotel in some sort of poaition of authority and get their name as well.
  21. Good idea, my budget is so tight this time round.
  22. I've been collecting little bits and pieces since they announced the themes. It was actually a hair grip from a supermarket which gave me an idea for Sunday night, I'm not saying it's a good idea but I'm going to go with it lol Saturday day night I'm thinking about wearing a long black formal dressy dress. For Friday night I've been playing with a Victorian theme but that's not working out so well. I'm thinking Greek for Friday:) Want Nox for Saturday but not sure I will manage, and Sunday... have wild idea in my head but don't know if I can pull it off... So exciting:D oo Greek is a good one. Nox would be awesome like you said hard to recreate but I've seen people pull off some awesome costumes so go for it! I think Saturday night I'm going to have to go as 'human'. My 'alien costume will have to be for Sunday night. I absolutely can't wait to see 'big blue headed Alien' Good idea about being the same alien on Sunday too.

  24. I'll third it. He's hilarious and a sweetie.
  25. A talk with all of them would be awesome. I think I'm going to have to decide between going to Chevron 7.9 and LFCC, I can't afford to go to both.
