  3. As the title says Alex Winter has arrivd at venue and is about to start signing!
  4. People usually go for the VIP ticket to get the meal with the guests - that usually goes at auction for somewhere in the range of £200-£1000 lol. This just guarantees them a seat at the meal. Likewise the guest encounters can go for high prices and you bid on them so it is nice to be guaranteed one each day without that hassle. However, as I said, that may not necessarily be what is included in this time. I know they were looking at the package.
  5. Hey I have spoken to Mark and obviously he is very busy with LFCC at the moment so he's asked me to keep you in the loop re: Denis. At present Denis has not cancelled his appearance at bitten 3. It is possible he has a weekend off and that is why. However, Mark will be speaking to his agent this weekend to confirm and will let everyone know after the LFCC madness is out of the way. Hope that puts some minds at ease for now! As for the line-up there is never any way of knowing when it is complete until you are at the event, they keep working on guests until the last minute. Things have been hectic with LFCC coming up so hopefully we will see some announcements once that is out of the way! SJ x

  7. Generally speaking there are usually only 4 VIP programmes sold for the events and they have ranged from £895-£1,495 depending on the event. They usually include the following: VIP programmes are limited to 4. A VIP programme will include: Your priority chosen seating at all stage events 1 extra professional photo shoot with each individual guest 1 1 extra free autograph from each guest A choice of one guest encounter on Saturday and on Sunday Dine with the guests taking part in the exclusive Saturday evening meal PLUS everything that is included in the standard, silver and gold programme admissions. (listed above) However, this may not be the same info for the LOT event as there may be some changes to what is included, this will be a post-LFCC conversation and details will get announced later. In the past where VIP programmes have been put on sale AFTER the other programmes ME have allowed upgrades to anyone that wishes to go for VIP. (Generally speaking)
  8. Also with silver you get a photo taken OF the guests at the event (i.e. the guests all get together and get a piccie taken but you aren't in it) so you'll get that exclusive photo from the event too which is a really nice keepsake. They load the hall gold first and then silver so if you want to be near the front for talks then silver gets in before the standards. It depends whether you are someone who loves photo shoots or not, if you're going to want a pic with every guest then it is usually worth the extra money.
  9. That's fantastic! Join in on the competition fun and you could be in with a chance of winning something....... whatever that may be!
  10. Breakfast is amazing - they have full english breakfast available as a buffet, they also have a counter where you can get omlettes or pancakes freshly made. There's a great selection of fruit, breads, cereal and so on. One of the best breakfasts IMO! The hotel also has a gym and swimming pool that is really nice, free to use - just give your room number when you go in. Not that you will have time to go there of course, but a bonus nonetheless! It's also worth noting they have a mini-bus that goes to/from the train station free of charge so you don't need to drag your luggage around walking between hotel and station and you also don't have to get a taxi! Not that I'm promoting the hotel or anything
  11. Just to let everyone know that the Hilton are now taking bookings for the Lords of Time convention. Room rates are £86.40 for a twin and £72 for a single. To book online follow this link: CLICK HERE To book via phone dial 0121-780-4242 and quote the code "GGOTH"
  12. As I wrote in the post above if the website requests a different size or anything then email me and I can get something done. Generally I try and get places to use the official buttons so that they are the same style on every site. It also makes it easier for me to find them when I go looking! Saying that if a site is willing to put something up but HAS to make their own button then I'm not going to argue, we want the advertising! As to tumblr and blog posts I generally count them as similar to LJ and judge points based on various factors - if there is a hits counter I'll use that, I'll check out how many comments they tend to get on posts and so on. Just because it isn't listed above doesn't mean it isn't good advertising!
  13. Well, the only event I had that issue with was Eternal Twilight, any other time I've ran the competition it's been fine. However, given the short time-scale and popularity of the fandom it may be worth posting the sites you have contacted here. Short answer: yes please!
  14. Stephen Moffat (I know someone who'd be happy with him!)
