I had an encounter with Sonny when i was getting into costume on saturday, i had no idea who he was until later in the day, he was impressed with my costume my celeb photos selection of cosplay photos

I went to the Indy talk on saturday and thought it was great Ahmed El Shenawi had some great stories to tell, like that he couldn't fit his legs under the banquet table and had a hole cut in the floor of the set so he could sit down properly I also got to meet Ke again right at the end of the event, i was lost in the hotel and trying to find my friends, and ran into him in the corridoors after everyone else had left the event, and asked him what he thought of seeing himself as a Lego toy in the indiana jones lego game! he hadn't played it yet, and he wanted to know if they used his voice in the game, which they didn't, i told him that the characters don't really speak human language as they speak their own LegoIsh language which makes it hilarious, he was great to talk to

I will post mine later on, i haven't got the pics back yet, i was his last customer on the saturday just before he left

many years ago i wrote an army of darkness fanfiction. and i had the sole purpose of giving it to him if i ever got the chance.... and so i did!!! i will have no idea if he takes it home and reads it or simply passes it off as a nutcase-fan syndrome type thingy, but i hope he likes it it is to my knowledge the only piece of written work set around the original post apocaliptic ending to AoD, as every comic/computer game is set around the alternate S-Mart ending plus i missed the photoshoot sessions so couldnt get my piccy taken which has done my head in big time

yeah that was me! its great to learn peoples names, forget about counting the captain Jack's there's far too many of them, try counting stormtroopers instead, its much easier to keep track of them... LOL

it will be a while before i get my film developed as im using an ancient camera i will post pics up when they are scanned though

I just joined up aswell hope it's worth it, the last cosplay "group" i joined were total B******S

dang I look really tired in my pic must have been worn out blowing away all those deadites on saturday afternoon people will never know how close they came to total annihilation...

I wanna know if there is an independent star wars group I.E. Not UK garrisson etc you know, for those of us that are not a part of a big group!

I have decided to do some simpler costumes that can be done at short notice, and thinking of Mal Reynolds from Serenity, and possibly.... no wait I'm not going to tell you... you will just have to wait and see... I got to have some surprises up my sleeve otherwise it will spoil the fun of doing the costume

how do we deal with this then? what are we supposed to do? aaarrrrgh! this doesn't do me any good whatsoever and that sucks bigtime

I lived in MK for around 11 years and hated every part of it apart from Collectormania, in every town and city i have been to I found the indigenous population of MK to be the most rudest and hostile in the whole country. and most of my friends who are from alternative backgrounds found themselves victimised because of their "differences" anybody remotely "different" from anybody else is targetted, including people attending the Collectormania events especially those in costume and/or those who stand out from a crowd in every job i ever had, every social event every club, was it coincidence that just about every white person i came into contact with just so happened to be extremely rascist? and completely persecuted all of my real friends? everyone here was a liar and a betrayor, and the only Genuinly kind friendly people i met here were a small number of gothic people, the otaku culture and anyone born in a different country! if anyone is from a culture that is classed as "not a local" i advise not to move to MK, I once got attacked on the street just because i was not a skin-head and was socialising with a black girl! that is not the kind of city i like to live in where people are hostile to anything/anyone unlike themselves! i only go into Central MK when a convention is happening and i am with close friends, never for any other purpose.

My Indy costume is being retired for good now. I may do the Temple of Doom battle costume in 2009 if i can get a girl to be Willy Scott My Hero from the sky Ash is now ready to go as late last year i completed my custom Chainsaw prop that i built myself, but i gotta be real careful as it'l take an arm off if im not concentrating on where im swinging it My other Ash costume, the medieval adventure costume at the mo isn't 100% movie accurate and the first version Blue tunic that i had made for me is being secondered to my independent Jedi costume, I will go with a more movie accurate version later on when i got more money this pic is the medieval costume so far i made a cheapo mech-hand and painted it, and my Necronomicon prop is a movie quality replica prop made by a porfessional, and it's pretty damn cool to look at and show at cons I plan to do the hero from the sky Battle Damaged costume first and covered in lots of battle scars and stage blood, Ash wouldnt be Ash without the blood and muck from his misadventures...

I am planning on doing my Jedi costume as its the 30th anniversary of SW:ANH I have created an independent expanded universe character and unique costume that I built myself, using designs from the Art of Star Wars books and compiled costume designs that didn't get used in the finished films but are still recognisable as star warsy costumes, I built an exact replica of Lukes Jedi utility belt as all of the replica costume companies only do "prequel" jedi belts with the new design lightsaber clip. it was impossible for me or anyone to get quality reproduction "classic" belts with the metal spring hook for saber hilts with the D ring attached for hanging off the belt, so now i can reproduce the classic design much more cheaply for any potential customers who are looking for the classic belts plus i have already done han solo gunrigs in the past, but they are not 100% accurate because of copyright stuff, but my accessories can still be identified with the characters costumes

as it's the 30th anniversary of Star Wars I am planning on doing my Independent Jedi character costume that I made myself, I have impressed people who have seen it in the past so it should be worth trying out, competition or no competition! The force should be with me!

the idea is you quote a line from a movie and the person who gets the right answer places the next quote from another film of their choice and so forth and continue the chain for as long as people take interest in this thread oh and your not allowed to qoute blatantly obvious stupid lines of dialogue like "lets get out of here" because lines like that are used in a billion films lets face it! I will start with "i say we take off and nuke the site from orbit, it's the only way to be sure" easy peasy... let the commencement beginulate! and have fun and keep it clean...
