  1. I know, there was no one else queuing at the time I bought an autograph,I was very polite,of course, but Peter Mayhew just said no,bit of a disappointment, but never mind eh,as the old saying goes, you win some, you lose some
  2. Louise Jameson,I've been wanting to have the honour of meeting her for ages, she's every bit as lovely & sweet as she is on the Doctor Who DVD commentaries & interviews & really made me feel less nervous & more welcome, she really cares about her fans, such a kind lady, bless her,I love my signed photo so much I've made it my avatar
  3. Thanks guys, well me being me I guess, haha,it sure seemed hot at the time,oh well & yes I've just seen your review, very interesting indeed, glad you had a great time also, that's good to know
  4. I had such a great time on Saturday at LFFC,even arriving just before 12 noon,I made the time allotted for my photo shoot session with Louise Jameson,I was quite nervous, but she was so lovely & the photo turned out really good, very professionally done indeed After lunch,I went to purchase an autograph,Louise Jameson was only too pleased to sign my photo personalised with "To Tom" on it,I thanked her very much & said she really made my 1st LFFC event special & then she said "I hope you enjoy the rest of your day love" she really is so sweet & kind to her fans, bless her I got some really fantastic photos with the Ecto 1 from Ghostbusters, another dream come true for me,as a huge GB fan myself I also had numerous photos with The UK Ghostbusters,a Cyberman,Snake Eyes from G.I.Joe,Darth Vader,Stormtroopers,Jawas,Han Solo,Jason Voorhees,Ghost Face,2 Doctors,Amy Pond,Iron Man,Wolverine,Xena Warrior Princess & many more, all the cosplayers are such nice people & it's great that they do their cool character poses in their photos with fans, thanks folks The only let down was that Peter Mayhew would'nt personalise the photo I bought, but then again other fans like myself had the same thing happen to them too oh and the heat was absurd, but then again everyone else would agree with that statement too,you know how it is Still all in all,my 1st LFFC event was such an incredible experience & one that I will never forget & will treasure always, thankyou again to Showmasters & all the amazing cosplayers & of course the lovely Louise Jameson for making my day really memorable, you're all wonderful, many thanks,I'm still buzzing even now I got some great merchandise too, especially some cool glossy art prints & a couple of Aliens figures for my collection
  5. Yes,well done to everyone on the Showmasters team, thanks for all the helpful advice you gave me both on here & on Saturday,it really helped me feel comfortable as a newbie to this event,I had an amazing day, thanks so much.
  6. I was there yesterday & also bought a signed photo from Peter Mayhew & he would'nt personalise mine either, sorry to hear it was the same for you,but also am glad I was'nt the only one,you know, never mind,I was also very sorry to see that he was in a wheelchair.. On the plus side though I had a photoshoot & then an autograph with Louise Jameson, which she did personalise "To Tom" (she was only too pleased to do that for me) I was so happy, she really made my 1st LFCC special, when I thanked her afterwards,I mentioned that too,she really is so lovely to her fans, bless her, such a sweet person, here's my photo,I'm going to frame it soon https://www.facebook...&type=3

  10. Oh thank goodness for that,(breathes a massive sigh of relief) I was really starting to panic there for a bit, what with my inexperience with going to events like this, thanks guys, guess I have no need to worry about things like that after all
  11. Hi there, sorry if this sounds like a stupid question & sorry if this topic already exists but I'm not going to be able to get to Earls Court 2 on Saturday until probably about 11am,I already have my tickets & was just wondering how long it would be to get into the venue,I have a photo session at 12:20PM with Louise Jameson & obviously I do'nt want to miss it,any help would be much appreciated!
  12. I'm really looking forward to meeting & having a photo with the lovely Louise Jameson (I hear she's wonderful with the fans & I love classic Doctor Who,she was always one of my fave companions) seeing The UK Ghostbusters again & finally seeing and having pics with Ecto 1 (been waiting for this moment for ages, been a huge Ghostbusters fan ever since 1987) & generally having photos with cosplayers & checking out the merchandise stalls
  13. Good to finally have the photoshoot times,I was so worried that my photoshoot with Louise Jameson would be after 9AM,because my party & I can't really get to the venue until between 10:30am-11am ish,I think the earliest train we have from where we are near Colchester is after 9AM,but as it turns out according to the timetable my photo session with this lovely lady is at 12:20PM,I'm a mixture of nervousness & excitement right now, hehehe (Leela was always one of my fave companions in Doctor Who,so I can't wait to meet Louise ) That time is perfect for a newbie like myself & I am sure that I should still have plenty of time to look around, get photos with cosplayers & the Ecto 1 (as a huge Ghostbusters fan,I'm very excited about that also ) & of course check out the various merchandise stalls, great times ahead, roll on Saturday, work is murder right now, hehehe, know what I'm saying!
  14. I know this doesn't really help, but it depends on the guest. If someone is quite chatty you'll find yourself in line for longer than for other guests. Thankyou Queen_Sindel,I'll take any advice I can get Basically "usually" it's 5-10 minutes. But it can be up to 20 or even 30 with a full on chatter. Thanks Too Tall, that's very helpful also

  16. I also have a question (my apologies if this has already been discussed by somoene else) as someone who is new to all this I would like to know about purchasing autographs on the day,say you get a "virtual ticket" (is that what they're called?) and your number is called at whatever time, how long do you normally have to wait in line, please note that this is'nt for one of the more busier guests,it's different, any help would be much appreciated from any of you experts out there, thanks all
  17. Aww,it's fine, being a newbie of course I'm naturally a mixture of nervousness & excitment, especially as I have never been to an event like this before & hopefully will have as much fun as possible,so my posts are really just questions & enquiries rather than ranting, see I'm trying to get plenty of good advice from experienced people so I do'nt feel unprepared, you know how it is?
  18. I'm most pleased to hear that,is that how it is each year,if so then it's great news for all of us
  19. Anyone know when the photoshoot times for Saturday will be announced,I have one booked with Louise Jameson that day & I really hope that it may just be later in the day as I may not be at the venue until about 10am,I'm travelling up on the train from Colchester with my brother & his girlfriend, you see,so fingers crossed, also this is my 1st time at LFCC,so I'm a real newbie to the whole convention scene myself
  20. I'm going,my 1st time attending,I'm a newbie to the convention scene,also I'm having a photo session with Louise Jameson,I'm a mixture of excitement & nervousness right now,but I hope & am sure that I will have a great time
  21. Wow,that is fantastic news,my 1st time going to LFCC & the Ecto 1 is going to be there, can't wait to get a photo or two on the Saturday, also one with the UK Ghostbusters & Ecto 1 would be cool as well
  22. Thanks everyone,I'm coming up on the train near Colchester which is where I'm from,I have'nt the first clue about train travel, but hopefully my brother & his girlfriend will probably have more experience with public transport than I do. A month to go & I'm pretty nervous already,I can only hope that my photoshoot is at a reasonable time, really hope I do'nt miss it,that would really suck for my first time meeting someone famous, aww well,I'll just cross my fingers & hope for the best
  23. No problem at all, sorry did'nt know that, thanks for the info mate. Yeah I've seen Louise Jameson interviewed on several of the Doctor Who DVD documentaries & heard her many a time on the audio commentaries too,so naturally I cannot wait to meet her next month & to have a photo on the day too is so cool also, she is definitely one of the best Who companions ever
  24. Hi all,I'm new to the whole convention thing,I went to my 1st one back in February at Excel,it was awesome,I had so much fun & got some cool photos with all the cosplayers too. Anyway now I'm attending LFCC on the Saturday date in July with my brother & his girlfriend,we're all very excited indeed. I'm having a photo shoot with Louise Jameson too,I'm a bit nervous, but I'm sure that it will be a great honour to meet her,of course,I've heard that she is a really lovely lady & is so kind to the fans,I've never really met anyone famous before,so this will be a new experience for me,wow. Anyway that's my story
