Not being negative, just disappointed that additional items were supposed to appear, but they don't appear to have I put £100 aside for these additional Paid Talks If I had known this when originally purchasing my ticket then I would have purchased a different ticket; now there is no option to do so

Sadly that appears to be the advice being given out, to leave the Talk early and make your way to the Photo Shoot There is something clearly wrong if you have to leave something you have paid for early... Personally, there should be flexibility on the Photo Shoots, unless you have a one day pass where you will pretty much have no choice

If you look at the Schedule you will notice there are different types of Talks, and some will actually overlap Looks to me like the personal free talks are held on the Free Talks stage (top left on the Floor Plan), known as Stage C Stage B looks to be The Behind The Scenes Stage (lower left on the Floor Plan) Stage A looks to be the Photo Shoot (Any Time) My main concern is the demand and supply Clearly there is going to be vastly more demand than can be supplied, although having two lots of Free Talks will help I am disappointed / confused as it was advised many months ago that other Paid Talks (of groups) would be available / listed, but none ever appeared other than the Opening Ceremony Equally, looking at the Timetable it doesn't look possible for any to be added as the Main Stage is pretty much in use throughout with no spare slots

There was security in place for the Olympic events held at Excel However, there is no mention of such checks for current listed events they are holding On the plus side, if anything goes wrong there will be plenty of emergency services available, as they are attending an event at the same time (Emergency Services Challenge) I have tickets for that as well!
  9. You could save yourself a bit of money, for travelling in the TFL zones, by purchasing an Oyster Card If you don't have one and don't plan on visiting London regularly, then can return it afterwards for a refund of the deposit

  11. Yes, it is running normal on Friday only On Saturday and Sunday there will be a replacement bus service between Canning Town and Custom House

Going by previous (recent) events, the schedule will be published the day before it commences I would suggest you use an online travel planner (such as the AA) then add one hour for delays (as it is a Friday), and arriving one hour before the event opens (to allow for finding parking, waiting in the long queue that is expected) Assume the event opens at 14:00 on Friday, it could easily be 15:00 before all those that initially queued (up to 14:00) have entered the hall Our party will be arriving shortly after 14:00, as we really don't fancy standing in a queue that doesn't move

I would suggest purchasing an Oyster Card (which you can return for the refundable deposit if you do not visit London regularly) The suggested journey would be (40 minutes) : 308 bus to Wanstead Underground Underground using Central line to Stratford Underground DLR to Custom House (Friday only) On Saturday and Sunday, there is no point taking the DLR, and you may prefer this journey on Friday (45 minutes) : 308 bus to Stratford Centre 241 bus to Custom House I will be using the 241 bus between Stratford Centre and Custom House on the Saturday and Sunday This bus runs every 10 to 20 minutes on Saturdays, so if you miss one you won't have long to wait On Sunday it runs every 10 to 15 minutes

I am from Scotland and run one of the UKs most popular rail travel websites I don't normally take interest in London Transport (bus, underground, DLR, etc), although I have travelled to/from London and walked across London a few times However my experience has paid off in the planning for my own journey to this event Heathrow to Custom House will cost you £8.50 on the first day (assuming off-peak Saturday) The other days (Custom House / DLR) will cost you about £3.00 (assuming one return trip) The final day is a single trip back to Heathrow so will cost you about £4.80 (assuming travelling peak) Tuesday Custom House to Watford Junction : Between 09:30 and 16:00 this will cost you £5.50 each way (via Euston) Off-Peak or £8.20 Peak You could travel via Stratford and Willesden costing you £2.60 each way or £4.30 Peak, but this will add about 20 minutes plus require at least one additional change The minimum you can purchase is £5 https://oyster.tfl.g...er/link/0005.do On the next page, Select an amount (see below) and DO NOT TOPUP There is then the £5 refundable deposit I would suggest you initially purchase £20 This will cover your trip between Heathrow and your hotel, and your first day in London (ie to/from the event) You can then check the balance and topup for the following day, based on what you plan to do Finally, remember each person requires their own Oyster Card (as they are travelling together)

  20. edited quote to include the word event I assume this event is to coincide with the 25th anniversary of TNG, hence the largee ratio of actors from this series I would expect the next to be either 2017 for the 25th anniversary of DS9, or 2020 for the 25th anniversary of Voyager, or even both I would be quite happy if the next was confirmed much earlier, given more time to save up (as I only got 4 months notice for this event)

Yes, I pointed this out to TFL and they agreed there was a discrepancy They use their Journey Planner when giving travel information, and at the moment still shows services will be running They have not yet loaded the closure for that weekend, it is not due to be loaded until next week Try using the (TFL) Journey Planner next weekend and compare The DLR Journey Planner already shows that no service will be operating, from the links I provided above, and that a replacement bus will be operating (with nil value Oyster acceptance)

Yes, this was my fear, all the same people with all 3 tickets in our party having the same autograph for the same guest It's not an issue for us if each ticket holder has been assigned a different guest However, we may have been assigned a guest we are not really interested in and could then swap for someone in a similar position eg We have a Brent Spiner and someone else has a Manu Intiraymi; that is a swap that would be of interest
  23. Has this question been answered yet? Will a live swap be allowed? ie the organisers do not allow swaps but accept that swaps will occur
  24. I expect at least 10% of visitors will be in uniform, so wearing your TWOK uniform will not be out of place Equally, it will be quite unique Consider also applying to the Costume Parade for that day, you will be in the minority for that specific uniform (I would expect)
