  1. I've been looking into this and Media 10 hold the licence for events with the Star Trek name and branding in the UK Showmasters could hold such an event, but they would not be permitted to use the name and/or branding However, there are simple solutions to like, such as calling it "Trek Fans UK", etc
  2. I am trying to establish numbers, how many people booked a Photo Shoot with Alice Krige? If you did, did you receive the ticket? If so, what day and number was it? The one we had was : Sunday 34
  3. Showmasters invite guests who have appeared in Star Trek, sadly it is usually a small number (typically up to 5) Media 10 are planning another event in Europe within the next two years, but it won't be in Britain
  4. The Press Releases were sent by email I plan to add these to a website I plan to create in a few weeks time
  5. Reading through the Press Releases, they certainly suggest more events will follow in due course I was under the impression this event had more of a TNG theme However, if the next had such a theme that would limit the interest, and some people may not attend One main criticism was the lack of guests representing the Voyager series Personally, I think an annual event is overkill and either every second or four years would be better (if it was every four years, then later in the same year as the Olympics is easy to remember and plan for)
  6. From memory the wording was "Visitor Management" Can someone confirm these staff were indeed working for Excel On Saturday morning they didn't seem to know what they were doing, but clearly they had learned from that mistake as Sunday morning was much more organised (albeit there was not so many people to deal with)
  7. The Sunday Talk was probably just as funny The same name comment appeared Some details about the filming of Spot, the use of two cats, and how filming some scenes took all day A question was raised, starting "brace yourself", asking - If Brent morphed into an eight legged arachnoid, would be change his name to Spider? The look on Brents face! He did confirm that some people have called him Brent Spiner (pronounced spin-er)
  8. I had a VQ ticket for Kate Mulgrew on Friday We were advised to come back at 17:30, which we did The sign was showing CLOSED NO MORE AUTOGRAPHS When we enquired, the Autographs had closed for the remainder of the day! So much for coming back anytime or as advised Equally, we were not the only ones As a result, this was the only Autograph we did not manage
  9. There is also the Hate Crime March and Rally, in the opposite direction at the same time, and then joining the above
  10. Quite easily solved with a disclaimer that times are approximate and the guest may not be available for all of the alloted time Time is tight for some people so wasn't so much for me but for others... I would be quite happy to stand around for about 30 minutes waiting for a guest to come back As for other Showmasters events, they were in Scotland and you could count the number of guests we were interested in on one hand!
  11. Could the organisers add a further feature, listing when each guest will be available for autographs I have managed to work out when each of the guests our party requires should be available (assuming 15 minutes before and after each event already listed in the timetable) However this does still leave some uncertainty, as time for larger breaks cannot be taken into account (especially on the Saturday and Sunday as I would expect lunch breaks of at least 1 hour) This wasn't a great issue at previous Showmasters events, as the number of guests was quite small, and when I asked how long it would be before they would be back was either given a rough time (usually within an hour) or advised they would find them and allow me a one-off signing as they had just gone on a break
  12. There are two Costume Parades on each day Everyone MUST Sign In to the earlier one (Friday 16:00, Saturday 10:30 and Sunday 10:30) Finalists are then selected, and they must sign in at the second event, and a winner in each category is then awarded *Not to be confused with the World Record attempt on Saturday
  13. Yet another page well hidden on the DSTL website http://www.startreklondon.com/highlights/112-stunt-show Tickets are £10 The Stunt Show lasts about 45 minutes
  14. See Tickets have confirmed that although our tickets were marked as dispatched, they won't reach us in time now (they should have been sent on Friday, but a small number missed the deadline) See Tickets have now referred me to : https://www2.seetick...terms_popup.asp "When tickets are being collected at the box office, we ask that the cardholder presents the card that the tickets were booked on as identification"
  15. The advice I received was that the event is nearer the East entrance, but it won't make much difference
  16. Yes, but lets's say I want to attend : Saturday 10:00 Stage B Manu talk Saturday 11:20 Stage B John de Lancie Does this mean I ask for the first one only, and then go back to the end of the queue... If everyone is going to have to do this, the queue will never change and be about the same length all day!
  17. I can see there being a lot of disappointed people if they arrive mid-way through the day and this is the case Equally, if each ticket holder is restricted (to say a maximum of two) the queue will be enormous as people then have to rejoin
  18. I don't appear to be able to send you a Private Message through this forum email sent, there isn't any personal information contained within it!
  19. The wording of the three pages, referring to Talks, has now been amended and no longer mentions any other Paid Talks / groups of Guests Presumably it was something that was hoped could be organised, but there just isn't the time on the Main Stage
  20. You need to send an email to See Tickets, they will then provide a "Collection on the Day" email, which you take to the Ticket Centre Tickets are available for collection from 09:00 on Friday 19 October The email also advises the confirmation email alone is not acceptable You must also take the original Credit Card with you, as ID proof
  21. Yes, as I would have expected some people that have been at least involved in Star Trek (ie Stunt roles) I remember a similar such event (Disney) and whilst I agree the display itself was good, there was noone involved with that film Looking back, it was just a bunch of people wearing costumes from the film Equally, if I had wanted to see 3RUN then I would have specifically booked an event to see them At least it will take up an hour It is on parallels to the BBC Symphony orchestra playing theme music from films, they also were never involved...
  22. Is it just me, or has the Stunt Show page been updated? http://www.startrekl.../112-stunt-show It has a Star Trek theme, but there is NOONE who has actually ever been involved in any Star Trek filming? Just checking also, all five shows will be the same? So you only need to attend one Odd that the price hasn't been included (pay £10 on the day)
  23. I've just checked and I am not seeing things! The following guests are performing Guest Talks on Stage C : Ron Moore, Brannon Braga, Richard Arnold They are listed as Guests on the DSTL website, so ticket holders can also have Photo Shoots / Autographs with them I don't see any difference..
  24. The Schedule I have printed out appears to have changed then, as it matches the above The Photo Shoots are listed such that they match the Floor Plan, listed as a Photo Shoot Stage I already know I have to print another one out on Thursday plus I will be receiving a further by email as well!
  25. It looks like you can book and order online until the day before, if tickets are still available You would then collect them at the event Alternatively, you can purchase them at the door, but some appear to be slightly more expensive
