well for me and my partner it was the alterniative ceremony....due to the queue fiasco we were still alittle annoyed when the show started...3 minutes in and dominic states he hasn't got a smile yet out of one guy....my horror i just knew it was my partner..he hardly ever smiles...although he was really having a great laugh...anthony montgomery came out behind the curtain to come looking for the offender...my partner realised it was himself...so stood up and had a banter with dominic.....my partner was so excited and happy that anthony had come over and that dominic picked him out the crowd...and as a bonus we found the footage on youtube!

hi...hope your ready for this...quite a list some staff to be dressed as Q. - so that they ensure it's a fair queue with no-one managing to slip past people at the last minute who have queued for an hour fairly..like with the alternative ceremony fiasco. if purchasing similar to the 3 day pass...to be given a chance to list in order of preference (of good to bad) which free in person autograph they would like...obviously with no guarantee of thier top no1 choice but also to state who we deffinately don't want....because we both got someone we deffinately didn't want...anyone else would have been fine!...or to state which era of star trek we prefer..and possibly get one signing from that category. if 5 captains come again or there is a grand opening ceremony...could it not be cheaper if you held it in a larger room with more people able to attend...that way ticket sales should be less steep and we all get to enjoy the moment...say in that great big empty exhibition room we all had to queue round on the first day of the event...if the main actor guests were on a stage that was raised so a fair few people get to see them. we would have loved to have seen shatner and the gorn do a comedy act double in the stunt area...i thought it was going to look more like a circus ring with star trek background, alian planet rocks ect... and comedy type strips taken from episodes...maybe that might be good...although shatner may have to ease off the fight scene a little due to his age! more stalls...deffinately, even if it wasn't all star trek orientated...but along the sci fi theme. some of the actors doing a script sketch on the bridge....all the 5 captains would be good... probably won't happen but can dream! maybe instead of the one main room...a few rooms...each one themed for the different star trek eras. maybe a photoshoot with a choice of star trek backgrounds and you get to dress up in various supplied outfits...(if you haven't come in one of your own) make up artists that will make your face up like whatever character in star trek you want..... maybe if getting a 3 day pass again...to also get a ticket to one of the free shows in advance with our main ticket... a chance for the lucky ones with cash!.... to act a part out with one of the cast members in a sketch from one of the many episodes. larger free talk seating areas large board stands with star trek images with face cut out so you can pop your face through for photo...free of course...please don't make this a paid item!!!... contest for the most creative costume for a new character....winner gets... maybe their design drawn/sketched by someone great? don't know who but sure you will know who's best! the more expensive the ticket the better goodie bag you get...and everyone gets one that has been promised one. a more thought out photo selling stall...there was plenty of chance at this one for people to just walk off with a photo because we were all struggling to get to the photos and had to walk round people at times from one end of it to the other...although we were honest enough to not walk away with them unpaid! if we think of anything else..ha ha ha we'll let you know! ps..if you do this event again and choose certain peoples ideas...do we get a cut of the money...ha ha ha...or maybe a free pass to whatever idea of ours you choose?

i saw this guy at one of the stalls, i took a second glance and realised it wasn't him, but he gave a smile to me...maybe he was hoping people would think it was boris..ha ha ha

totally agree...well my partner does...he met scott bakula and shatner, scott was amasing apparantly...and william shatner...who is my partners idol....well..erm not sure if i can repeat what he said to my partner...but a few people heard it...my partner said on leaving the shoot.."nice to meet you"...his reply was fu*k you....i am being totally honest...no lies...my partner assumed he was joking....or we hope he was...its it idol and he paid good money for the photo

hi i just posted the question of the queue getting ruined on the ceremony....me and my partner reckon there was at least 50 more than there should of been..some walked right down to the front and sat on the floor, it was meant to be 650 people, i know this because we headed straight over to stage b on entering on friday and the poor guy on the entrance didn't have a clue what we were asking for, then a woman organiser came over and shoved them in his hand and said stop at 650....we got the first 2 tickets and also queued well inadvance....my partner was the guy who dominic said he couldn't get a smile out of.....that was because we were still angry from fighting our way past the late comers!ha ha ha

hi jael001 i was the person you tried to put down before the event when i said my partner and i would have prefered different in person autographs....and you're reply was interpreted in a way that made me feel stupid for possibly wanting to queue up by myself and not with my partner holding my hand...well i saw a lot of people there queuing by themselves...so i guess i wanted alone....

hi organisers the alternative ceremony show itself was great...couldn't fault the show...but the queue up for it was totally ruined. we queued up well in advance around 6.40pm and the queue was already around 50 in front, one organiser at one point asked if we could move round to not obstruct the walk way..so someone there knew there was a queue...but then a lot of other people came and hung around, when 7.30 came the guy on the entrance to stage b...who had originally given the tickets out...but had been very mis informed about a lot of things that day..poor guy...he just let everyone in that had just arrived...those queuing round had to fight our way towards the guy on the entrance to inform him there was a queue..but by then most of the late comers had seated themselves at the front....everyone who queued were extremely annoyed and the 3 days that we were there i was never able to find anyone to offically air my complaint to...all the staff we spoke to said they didn't work for the comany who organised it....??? now nothing can be changed because the event is over....but i was expecting such an orginaised event after reading the lead up forum with people sticking up for the orginsers...but there was a lot of staff that gave us false information throughout the whole event...i could go in depth but it would take too long. an explaination would be good as to why the queue was ignored.

that may be your preference but not everyones the same. although we will be spending all our time together...we were going to queue separatly for an autograph, as we have 3 days together i'm sure we can survive waiting in seperate queues for different autographs.! you are entitled to your opinion i guess!

really pleased our tickets have arrived...we both have 3 day passes...what i don't get is why we both have the same in-person autograph. its more my boyfreind who is the star trek fan and assumed we'd have different guests. i guess we aren't the only couple this has happened to but still a bit of a dampner after getting so excited. is there anything that can be done so we have different guests or do i have to plead on this forum for someone to swap with us? overall i am happy...but feel i shouldn't really have to be asking this question in the first place.

i can't wait to see who the other 2 will be....its getting far too exciting now......to say i was not a star trek fan....it is my boyfriend that is...but i think i've been converted with all the run up to the event. and it has really spurred me on to finish my costumes for the world record attempt....

ive been checking on as many star trek cast members websites as possible....in hope of seeing something....but no chance!

yes i did read this one, but there was also another one which i can't seem to find anymore...it showed the image of standing on one of the beam me up sets and then someone else pointing their phone at it...anyway, it won't be too long now till we see it for real....its now making me wonder what else might be there i don't know about yet...exciting

hi i was looking on the internet earlier and came across a site regarding CBS and them doing a smartphone app for a beam me up.....especially for the star trek london? anyone got any info on it?
