  1. Why do you think I bought two? ;D Word. Especially as I chickened out of asking for a hug the first time!
  2. Brilliant photos! I can't believe I didn't get around to doing a photo with you guys - will remedy that next time.
  3. That scream over the tannoy was hilarious. I wondered what that was all about!
  4. Eeeeeeee! Those pictures of Mini-Cas sitting on Misha's shoulders are just ADORABLE.
  5. I am impressed with John's speed. He must have been knackered afterwards, poor man. What a trooper!
  6. I know I said it elsewhere, but I'll say it again: thank you very much! You guys are the best.
  7. Little Castiel was adorable. Tall Alien and Spidey looked good, as always. One of the Klingons doing photos before the prearranged shoot background had the filthiest laugh - I was chuckling for a long time after passing that area. The zombies looked great as well.
  8. Misha was brilliant. Best personalization ever (and our conversation was delightfully random), he had us in fits during the talk and I even managed to get a hug in the photoshoot. It was great meeting him.
  9. Unusually for a signing event I went on both days due to unmissable events on each, which meant a bit more waiting around on the Sunday in particular, but I got to see Misha Collins, George Takei and John Barrowman, and they were all lovely. I got to make random Twitter references to Misha (who gave me the best personalization ever on request); George was as friendly and courteous as he was at CMK; John was a complete trooper doing two photo shoots (the sold-out one was huge, but he still took time to say hi and hug people) and trying to get through as many autographs as possible on top of that in one day. There were some good anecdotes on the Star Trek talk and the paid Supernatural talk was hilarious; Misha and Julie did a great job together, especially with some of the questions they got! Worth every penny. My thanks to SM and the crew - they had a lot of organizing to do (especially for John Barrowman's queues) but they managed it well as always.
  10. Having recently drooled over pics of some of my friends with Jensen, Jared and Misha at a recent con, I really think a Supernatural convention is the way to go. Big public signing events are good, but a nice intimate weekend convention.... *happy anticipatory sigh*
  11. Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhh! I am so tempted to go now...
  12. Just got my latest SFX and I notice they're drawing attention to conventions up to April and Housebroken wasn't in it. Normally SM gets good representation, so looks like it's time to get in there - only a few months left! I'm sorry I can't make this one, but I really hope it succeeds.
  13. Not counting travel, well over £100. But worth it. :)
  14. Awwww, no! I was looking forward to meeting him (and getting a photoshoot). Although on the positive side, it means I don't have to get up so early on Sunday - or pay for an Earlybird on that day. [/trying to look on the bright side - *sniff*] Still, I hope he can make it back for another event.
  15. Thanks for the link. It would appear that services are suspended between Whitechapel and Earls Court on the District Line, but so long as I can get to and from Earls Court from other District Line routes, I should be OK to get to Kensington Olympia from there. Hope this doesn't disrupt everyone too much...
  16. Oh, I know. What a himbo. Bless. Now, if you're watching Generation Kill on the other hand...
  17. Considering it's only about an hour-and-a-half away from me, it's not a bad location at all. Except when there are accidents/roadworks and then it can be a bit of a bugger. But I like the Park Inn at Northampton a lot. It definitely makes me more inclined to go to a con if it's here. (OK, for Bitten I'd have forced myself to go anywhere, but I'm glad it's here.)
  18. OK, I know Eric is my favourite character on True Blood and I've done a fair bit of drooling in the Alexander Skarsgård thread, but I really would like to meet Stephen. He comes across as extremely personable in his interviews, he's excellent as Bill (who often gets forgotten compared to Eric and Jason, but IMHO Stephen's made him a marvellous blend of protective, powerful, hopelessly old-fashioned and endearingly dorky - his expressions just kill me sometimes) and he's a Brit, so getting him over here would be like getting to come home for a bit! Er, or some excuse like that. I think he'd be great at Bitten. So there. Please can we have him too, SM?
  19. Don't be scared of going alone. I usually do go alone to conventions and I've run into some great people that way. Just strike up a conversation if you can. In the queues, at the bar, whatever. I recognized a forum member in the lift (of all places) at my first convention and talked to her there; she spotted me looking lonesome in the bar later and invited me to join her and her friend, and although I haven't managed to catch her since, I did see her friend and hung out with her and her mates at two subsequent conventions instead and had a great laugh. It can literally be as easy as that. Try it. Oh, and I'm in my thirties, although I won't be by the time I get to this convention.
  20. Eeeeeeeeeeeeek! Brilliant guest. I love Pam.
  21. Ohhh, I'm not going to enjoy getting up two-odd hours earlier than planned on Sunday... But on the positive side, no apparent clashes!
  22. My other half has actually agreed to come with me to this. That's a measure of how much he loves this show, as he is not normally a signing event/convention-goer. Pity he's going Standard rather than Gold like me, but I'm so chuffed he's actually going at all!
  23. Judging by what some of the patrons in Fangtasia were wearing, no.
