  1. Photoshoots: Will post the others later
  2. Actually Scorch their was toilets just behind the photo area, as their the ones I used all weekend can understand why u couldnt see them mind a I was slightly confused at first when trying to find the toilets lol
  3. Just seen this on the Sun's website and to be honest I'm quite disappointed that the event has been taken out of context and that the Sun has painted it in a bad light. Yeah fair enough you can see where they are coming from but we as fans know that ost gets are very happy to chat to you etc. and if they are not bus they'll have a photo with you over the table. If people explain the event to others that aren't aware of cons then generally you'll find that people understand more why people go to the events Urgh just kept reading through it thinking you so do not understand where this event is coming from.
  4. Just saw this and thought I'd offer my opinion on it I can see were both sides are coming from; i know people don't have a lot of money near Christmas, heck as a student CM London cleaned me out good and proper- and the deposit idea does sound like a very good solution- if people pay like th first 10 or 20% then pay the rest of it at ET3 or if theya re not going to that then give a deadline as to when the rest of it should be paid. Make it non-refundable as well so if people back out they lose money and you would still have an available ticket for someone else. However, at the end of the day SM are a business, if they want to book this amaing guest for people and by the sounds of things it will not be randomer number 1 in the background of said scene, then they are going to have to book in advance because these people are busy and Twilight is a major thing at the moment; they are going to find money from somewhere so from their position the sooner the tickets go on sale the better. But let's not forget people- this event will not sell out as soon as the tickets go on sale. Even if you want to wait until after Christmas or someting you will probably still get a good ticket. As many have said they ahven't got a lot of money so odds are before Christmas the sales won't be as high as usual. That's probably why the deposit idea is the best one. Anyways that was just my thoughts.
  5. He did have about 3 or 4 small chocolates on the table next to him and when he came back to signing after his photoshoot he did have one of them boards that said Captain Jack on it with the photos in the letters- which it seemed he bought himself off a stand. Not sure what their called sorry lol but their popular lol
  6. I would love to see Burn for this show. I haven't met him yet, Kai suggessted that I gave him my Oliver ticket to get signed as when I went to see the show he was no longer in it but yeah please get him back
  7. Sunday was more of an action packed day for me considering John Barrowman was there, I had to make sure I got an earlier VT. Turned up at around 8am picked up under ticket 100 which I was extrmely pleased about. Went round picked up some more VT's and bought some more photoshoots and was surpirsed to see a lot of the guests that were busier the day before to be quieter. Shannen Doherty: Wasn't gonna meet her til later on in the day but went up anyway and she was lovely, smiley, seemed quite chirpy for in the morning. Had a small chat but kinda rambled at her, wished I had stood there longer and chatted some more because there was no one behind me but had babbled long enough and ran away. Went back for a 2nd photoshoot because had heard someone got a hug from her and couldn't resist-happy to say it's a great photo. Neil Roberts: Lovely man, kept walking about a lot and never once did I see him not smiling. Greeted me with a hug and kiss made sure that the photo we got at the desk was good and had a small chat with him. Lovely guest great guy. John Rhys Davies: Met him for the photoshoot were he was tickling everyone to get them to smile - really jolly there. Went for my auto and he asked me how old I was etc. told him I was a student and he asked me what I was studying, and he seemed genuinely interested in you as a person.I asked him what he did and he told me he was dwarf Advised me to write 3 pages every day and wrote so on my auto. Lovely man, very chatty and just a pure legend, kissed my hand on the way out of the auto queue and just a gem of a guest. Bronson - by the time I saw him I think the hangover had started to settle in but none the less he was sweet and answered my questions even though they weren't very well structured by me lol. John Barrowman - The highlight of my day probably had waited so long to meet him and he didn't disappoint: his photoshoot was mad but he managed to get through everyone, giving everyone hugs and smiling like a trooper. Managed to get to him when he was still personalising which I was so grateful of and he signed all my things and managed a little chat with me- told him how great I though La Cage was and how much a pleasure it was to meet him and that I loved him- I had planned a spiel, but mind kinda went blank and thought I wouldn't hold up the queue. He answered with a smile and said he appreciated it. He also called me hun as well which made me feel all happy have an even more added appreciation for him after this weekend Brian Krause: Still looks like he did from Charmed and still goregeous. Went for his photoshoot and asked for a hug, where he jokingly replied no, he did the same thing when I asked for another hug when I went to get his auto. He was lovely, charming, goregeous and such a smiley guy. Loved meeting him and he had a such an infectious quality about him I couldn't help but smile Gareth- met Gareth again, I can find him to be a bit quiet but genuinely think he is lovely, just more shy than he is in the talks. Was happy to pose for a photo over the desk and enjoyed meeting him again. All in all a fantastic weekend yet again! Roll on next time!
  8. When I walked in on Saturday morning at 9am he wa sone of the guests already sitting at his table waiting to start the day; something that I expected from George. My first time meeting him he didn't dissappoint; he was lovely, a real gentleman. I talked to him about Heores and about his time in I'm a Celebrity and at this point in the day he was doing posed photos at the desk. He was such a lovely man and everytime I saw him he had a huge smile on his face. A pleasure and I would definitely meet him again
  9. so true... I too agree with this. I always try to adhere by the rules of SM, as people have said on here if you don't adhere by the rules you can ruin other people's experience and consequently said guest might not want to come back if their requests are not adhered to. I always like to take pictures of the signs that are above the guests if they are no photos allowed signs up and I did so this weekend around John's area as well as some of the other guests. I was told by crew members not to take photos but then told them straight away that it wa sonly of the signs and then showed them the pictures as proof, for which they apologised. I have never had a prblem adhering to the rules and people should not think that they should be the one acception to the rule. When John was leaving the building at the end of the day I was stood there when Too Tall told several people waiting near the queue not to take pictures of John when he was leaving. I hope that the crew and other attendees are mindful of people trying to spoil events for others. And on a side note, I beleive, and I think his name is Giles? who i saw walking round all weekend is an official photographer of SM corrcect me if I'm wrong but he was in front of me when I went for John's auto and John happily allowed his to take a few pictures of him
  10. Yeah I've heard a few things about the staff sitting next to Billy, and I ahd read some of the things said on the forum but when i met him on Saturday he was lovely, couldn't have been nicer. Didn't quite realise how old he was, as he was sitting down in the photoshoot. But at the signing he greeted me asked how I was and I had a nice little chat with him, in which I told him he still had a sparkle about him and that you could still tell who he was and his management sat next to him was actually nice as well - he gladly took the picture for me and it turned out well. All in all it was a great meeting
  11. I know that the crew member giving out the VT tickets at the end of his queue was surprised at how low the VT's he was giving out were. I kept going back and seeing and how many they had given out and the highest I saw or heard of was around 600. Thankfully I prepared and got there around 8 and got VT 92 which I was extrmemly pleased about....even more when he came back after his photoshoot and he was still personalising so got all my items personalised and managed a lovely chat with him which made me love him even more I was just so happy to get a personalisation from him and to meet him properly for the first time and not when he was manic busy at the stage door.
  12. She was lovely with me in the photoshoot on Saturday, for some reason i thought she would have the no touching rule in the photoshoot but she was giving out hugs if she was asked which was why i went for a second photoshoot on the Sunday. Met her on the Sunday, coerced into meeting her then as her queue was open, I then proceeded to babble at her for a while about he she was lovely etc. to which she seemed slightly bemused but smiley non the less. She was really pleasant and smily and engaged in the conversation and a pleasure to meet-not what I expected at all
  13. Ohhhhh was that who screamed in the microphone with the tannoy announcment- I remmeber everyone around me hearing and just laughing haha! Classic! I saw him on the Saturday wandering round outisde the Charmed talk
  14. He was so lovely a pure sweetheart and had such a goregeous smile. I thought he hadn't aged one bit since Charmed and told him so gave me a hug in the photoshoot and when I asked him for one in the signing. Loved meeting him although I probably could've stood there longer because there wasn't any queue. Always loved Charmed and I'm so glad to have met two of the main cast of the show
  15. Had an absolutely fantastic weekend - one of my best cons yet I reckon. The crew were fantastic had to ask a few questions to start off with but soon got all the information I needed. Queued from around 8 and got really good VT numbers for all the guests. Only met a handful on Saturday though: Chipo Chung - she was so lovely, chatty and had a lovely smile Louis Cordice-he was lovely, very chatty mentioned he'd been on a night out in Newcastle so had a chat with him about that, asked if the autograph was good and chatted to him about Deathly Hallows where he said he'd have a bigger role. Had two pics with him but went back for another because one of them didn't turn out right. Very nice Frank Dillane - he was also great, and had such cool hair. George Takei - such a gentleman, was lovely seeing his partner with him all weekend, chatted to him about Heroes and about when he was on I'm a Celebrity. He talked about this years and how he saw one episode, and then chatted about the American one. Really lovely and a delight to meet. Billy Dee Williams- met him later in the day when he was Open Q, lovely man a gentleman, told him that he still had a sparkle and that you could tell who he was and he seemed genuinely happy to hear that. Great guest. Kai Owen- always a pleasure gave him an eclair he gave me an auto! Although he did tell me that Burn was no longer in Oliver which I didn't know-seemed really upset to tell me though. But still lovely and I always love meeting him. Missed Peter Firth which I was gutted about - my own fault really as I had a good VT number but waited until after the Charmed talk to see him and found out he left 5 minutes before- guttted so please get him back Showmasters Had photoshoots with Gareth, Shannen, Bronson and Billy. Gareth and Kai talk was fab as usual they bounce off each other so well and loved the fact they told us to move closer. Charmed talk was really interesting and entertaining - its amazing what you find out after shows end. Although one problem that I'll raise here but what I found all weekend was the way questions were asked in the talks. At past events this hasn't been an issue but it was here where awkward silences happened a lot - Gareth and Kai filled them because that's what they do anyway but other guests just sat and waited which personally made me feel slightly awkward. Perhaps something to help this is to have a few crew members with the mics strategically positioned so that once someone is done with the question another is already waiting to be asked. It can be annoying when silences take up time for questions which makes the talk shorter, which was even more shown in the Torchwood talk on Sunday as the guests kept asking people for questions. But all in all a fab day on Saturday
  16. I too would like to pass my thanks to the crew for the weekend. I know there was a lot of first time crewers this weekend but they all seemed to take it in their stride and do a great job. All the crew i encountered over the weekend were polite, friendly and happy to chat. Special thanks to the photo crews for getting through everyone and the crew over at John's auto queue for being lovely and helpful, making sure that everyonne got through. Overall a fantastic weekend and a fantastic crew
  17. £6 for the Eternal Twilight dvd that I bagged on the Saturday so was quite pleased with that
  18. haha Darthnad it turns out I actually have you on facebook Its a non stop disco: Well I know I probably won't be apart of the big group walk back because I'm planning on seeing Oliver Saturday night but I'm sure you can find others that are either staying at Easy Hotel or near there Looking forward to it guys! 2 sleeps to go
  19. I'm 158 which isn't too bad so relatively near the front Should be good :)
  20. sorry I totally must've not read your reply properly or saw that you were coming on the saturday or something. Really sorry Sunday?
  21. O I laughted too---pretty loud---If thats how their guna dress Vamp Bella, My Dear God, please dont turn her!! Lmao I laughed at that as well...they both looked quite weird to be honest lol! I loved it...thought it was much better than Twilght and I loved Twilight. Taylor stole the show in my opinion...made me question whether i was Team Edward or Jacob and no not because of the abs...just the pure acting and emotion that he portrayed...it is hard to imagine that he is only 17. Kristin was brilliant in this as well, she didn't annoy me once as well. Everyone stepped up there acting, the woves looked fabulous, Michael Sheen was amazing and i thought Chris Weitz did a fantastic job creatively, expecially as he had tough shoes to fill from Catherine. On another note this was the first time I was at a screening with audience screaming and clapping especially when Taylor first took his shirt off lol! Loved it! Loved it! Loved it!
  22. Cool ok Darthnad since ur the only one thst has an early bird for Saturday and Sunday that has replied again, what time do you wanna head over to the event? I would like to set off before 8 in case we get lost or anything. Is that alright with you? its a non stop disco - not sure about me cos I need to be at west end for like 7 so will prbs leave the event a bit earlier but i'm sure others would be willing to have a walk back to the hotel as well.
  23. Thought I'd bring this topic back up as there is only a week to go to the event Super excited guys! Ok so just thought a general poll of when people would like to get to the event on each day? Obviously it depends on a)what ticket you are and which guests you want to meet. As I'm an early bird I would preferably (sp?) like to get there for bout 8ish each day definitely around that time on Sunday as I'm going for John. So any thoughts about what time we should set off? Meet? Whether we are all still up for it?
  24. I'm probably gonna have a problem on the Sunday cos I'm gonna have to take my suitcase to the event on the morning and the cloakroom is located down the stairs so will have to go do that before I get all the VT's and I wanna meet John so do you reckon my VT ticket will suffer? Because he is one of my priorities. Or do you think its more sensible to just take the suitcase with me?
  25. Well if I can get there and I don;t have uni that day then I will definitely be there Well if I can get there and I don;t have uni that day then I will definitely be there
