spikeguerajumper
Ok guys.. so I ran into several fans wearing the "golden" look contacts and some even the red.. (ouch! those looked painful).. during the Bella Birthday Bash in Forks.. so what do you think.. are the Cullens colored contacts a do or a don't?.. and are you planning on wearing them at the con? Aakerman
I am not planning on wearing contacts at the con for a few reasons. First of all my eyes are very sensitive as it is, secondly I am on a tight budget and having to pay hotel, food, money for extra things, outfits for every themed party and a few tshirts to wear throughout the weekend.. then I just can't come up with it Those contacts are very expensive. Evie_Nitram
I probably won't because I wear contacts anyway, so would have to get them made with my prescription, and then it gets super expensive. It would be cool though... on the other hand, my understanding of Topaz is a bright blue, and I always thought that the cullens had red eyes if they'd just eaten human blood, and golden eyes if they'd dulled the thirst with animal blood, and black eyes if they were thirsty... Don't actually have much recollection of reading about topaz eyes...

The reason I said that.. was because I read somewhere that that was the color that was being sold.. for the golden eyes.. makes sense what you're saying though.. what I meant then I guess is the golden eye look.. thanks I've fixed it Edited September 18, 2008 by bellsfromep
Lizzy
Topaz can be lots of colours
Aakerman
Yep, Topaz comes in many colours. If I recall correctly, Bella also changes her favourite stone to a Topaz in Twilight because of Edwards eyes :)
Charisma
I'm too scared of contacts lol
spikeguerajumper
yeah.. some of the fans I heard had "dyed" their original ones I guess.. but I don't know how safe that is.. the "topaz" ones didn't look too bad..
Aakerman
I think colouring them yourself is dangerous. :S It is your eyes that you stick them in after all.
leanne marie barden
Not something I would be keen to do tbh. And my Mum has a very over acctive imagination, so if she sees people with red eyes, she may have nightmares :S lol
Laurenx
I would do it, I just don't like the idea of contacts. I'm a wimp, I'm one of those people that doesn't like the idea of putting them into your eye
vegasgal
I'm too squeamish to it - eye drops are about as much as I can cope with! Great idea if you have the money and the nerve tho'.
JaneDoe
I'd do it if I thought my eyes could take them but, since I need reading glasses just to find the bathroom, I'll say no!
Gerrysgirl
I wear contacts anyway and I went through a phase a few years ago of having a diffeernt colour every month. One time I had these wicked orange ones which when worn looked the kind of topaz colour I imagine Edward's to be. Didn't think about getting them again but now....... isa_lily
My friends say I don't need eye contacts XD When I wake up, my eyes are really bright, and yellow/gold color (that is actually not that cool, even when i'm tired it's so, and i've been told I look like a snake, Gollum*nice*, any kind of monsters .... thanx SM for giving vampires golden eyes! ). It's the same for anyone who has bright green eyes anyway XD I wish I could wear some though, I've always wanted to wear lenses. But I can't because I'm allergic T...T
bewarethepossums
I was planning on wearing red contacts (beacause I have a black cloak sitting in my cupboard and I want to wear a red dress to the prom party ) but then I realised just how expensive they are. So...maybe, if I can afford them. Not something I would be keen to do tbh. And my Mum has a very over acctive imagination, so if she sees people with red eyes, she may have nightmares :S lol Muahahaha...more incentive! LisaMarie
I might do... I wear contacts every day and have been thinking about getting coloured contacts for a while. But I quite like my eye colour as they are, an odd grey colour. Hmm depends on how much money I have left I suppose!
theoden_of_rohan
I tried to wear contacts for a sci-fi party I went to once, but after about an hour of trying to get them within an inch of my eye I gave up. My finger was getting closer and closer to my eye, but my head kept moving backwards automatically LOL! I'm useless

spikeguerajumper
While at first I wouldn't even consider wearing them.. I'm warming up to the idea.. I saw some girl that didn't look "too out there with them".. I don't know that I can carry off the Cullen personality that goes with the honey golden eyes.. hmmm maybe.. With Halloween coming maybe can wear them for that too.. it is a Friday and I am off!!

kegan5
I'd love to wear fashion contacts, I've yet to find gold ones though... I have come across gold speckled ones but as my eyes are dark brown I'm not sure how well they'd show up. Anyone struggling to put contacts in, I was the same but just went to the optician she put them in for me and once I knew how they were supposed to feel it was much easier to get them in and out. Also, the idea of touching my eye turned my stomach before I got contacts but...you soon realise the contact lense is quite thick so you don't touch your eye at all :) p.s. Does anyone know if opaque gold contacts with prescription exists? K x
