That was totally unexpected :P

I have an amusing question for Dave, looking forward to meeting one third (or forth if you include the prequels) of Vader!

Who are you including in your third (or fourth) of Vader??

It's a well known fact there are three main actors used to portray Darth Vader in the original trilogy.

The "body" or the man in the suit was David Prowse, the voice was James Earl Jones and the face/ghost was Sebastian Shaw.

In the final prequel Revenge of the Sith, Anakin Skywalker was portrayed by Hayden Christensen who later is dubbed Darth Vader (meaning Dark Father) by Darth Sidious/Emperor Palpatine before donning the infamous suit that acts as both life support and intimidation device.

You could add to the list if you want to include Jake Lloyd who plays the young Anakin Skywalker in the first of the prequels.

Bob Anderson also provides all the lightsaber stunts for Darth Vader in the original trilogy.

Bob Anderson didn't work on ANH but spent a lot of time in the Vader suit on ESB & ROTJ so I would say he is very important to the creation of Vader.

You could also add Stephen Calcutt to the list as he wore the suit for a lot of corridor walking shots in the original trilogy.

I try not to think about the prequels too much!!

My understanding of Andersons role as Vader is that he wore a half suit to allow for more flexibility and movement when sparring. His scenes are just as important though since his role comes under stunt double he's not seen as a major role in the eyes of Hollywood. I was simply referring to the well known actors who have played there part in bringing the character to life.

You could keep adding to the list if you want to include video games also.

Bob wore the whole suit with a modified helmet so that he could see out of it.

I wouldn't add video game portrayals to the list - just those from the OT.

I think you misunderstood what i ment, half suit is simply a term, it was a full head to foot costume, though it was designed differently so that it was lighter and less restricted.
