Edges
Hello all my name is Edges and I am also one of the Organisers for AL Gamers, just letting my presence be known here and I hope to see you all at LFCC =) If you have any suggestions for Tournaments please feel free to post them. Hubby says Street fighter please!!! That's definitely one of the games I want to put down XD Don't know yet if it would be the new one or one of the retro titles, at the moment I'm swinging more towards retro. Edges
We will probably have both going off seeing as SF 4 is pretty popular.

Liessa
Well, not really a suggestion, but more a question. If I'm not sure a certain game will be available, can I bring my own copy? Someone mentioned Duck Hunt, but not all NES owner have it (or the zapper). So, could I just bring my own? I love old games. My best games ever list includes Zelda - A link to the Past, Super Mario 64, Super Mario Kart (yes, the SNES version) and Zelda - Link's Awakening. Unfortunately I can't play the last one anymore, my old gameboy died But, I also love DDR! SO will have to plan my day, and make my friends stand in line for guests so I have time to play! We will require you to inform us beforehand, and to sign a form on the day agreeing to loan the game to us over the time-period of the show. This avoids anyone lending us a game or console and then demanding it back half-way through. In return it will come under our insurance and so you won't be liable if it gets lost or stolen. We will also ask you to write on it with a UV pen (invisible), or if you're unhappy with that, then to put a sticker on it. speedlol!ta
People being able to provide games such as the above would be beneficial to me. Do you think handheld game consoles would gather much interest? I've got so so many, people might like to play on some... Just that they're easier to steal. I know one of our members has the cart for Duck Hunt and all of those games you have listed bar Super Mario Kart.

BeatrixKiddo88
Any idea on how many DDR machines there will be? Would like to have a go at some point, but if there is only 1 then forget it lol Wont get near that till about 5pm
speedlol!ta
I think there will be a regular DDR machine and then some kind of stepmania setup, which may or may not be a machine but is planned to be set up to accommodate 4 players. They'll probably be madly crowded though. Need to discuss rules on usage per person about that. Edited June 24, 2009 by speedlol!ta

MikeDonovan
I feel so old... I don't even know what DDR is/means (retro gaming for me, involves a pack of cards) DDR = Dance Dance Revolution. You can find it in the arcades. Trading Card-Gaming, is another activity we may well be doing in the Artist Alley, but largely depends how insanely overworked our team (there's twelve of us to act as core staff for the Video Game Zone and Artist Alley - then add on gophers on top of that) wants to make ourselves! *laughs* thanks for the reply, I stand enlightened! (However, when i said 'cards', I meant like 'old school' cards... you know, the non-collectable, 52 in a pack, generally the same, variety) Lol - Chris if you want to get a group together to play some Omaha Hi-Lo in a back room, you can count me in Edited June 29, 2009 by MikeDonovan
