BRUCE CAMPBELL: Why are you meeting him?

Since they updated his website, his e-mail doesn't work anymore. It used to be on there but isn't anymore. I don't know if he's finally updated to broadband rather than dial-up!

 

The first e-mail was about Sam Raimi as I was doing a piece of coursework on him and his collaborators and he replied saying about If Chins Could Kill and the second one was asking if and when My Name is Bruce was getting a UK release and he said he had 'no bloody idea'.

I voted for Evil Dead but the bloke has done so much, this is a guest I have been asking for since joing the forum a few years ago so I am well chuffed!!

 

Can't think what to get signed cause he's done so much great work! Just booked my photo ticket.

im a crazy fan of his as i have a 9 foot statue of ash in my room

i have allready met sam rami and the 3 women from the first

 

evil dead movie all great people so meeting bruce is a dream come true

 

im going to bring my evil dead book dvd with me to get signed as i have sam

 

in it allready and thinking of bringing the chainsaw hand off of the statue

 

that would be cool to get signed by him so if you see me with a chainsaw its ot real lol

Me too! I was gonna take the chainsaw off for him to sign but I don't want it to get battered and possibly ruined. I don't think the sig would stay on there for long. The shotgun holder from the back might be better but then you wouldn't exactly be able to see it

yeh i know what you mean but not good on the back

 

but i think i will bubble wrap ine up and e very careful

 

with it and find out what sort of pen is good for writing

 

on it so it doesnt fade of but i bet there is a pen out there

 

well hope you figure it out to be a nice thing to get signed

i would be going to meet him for evil dead really but he's fantastic in almost everything he does

I voted Xena/Hercules because thats where i first saw his work and he was fantastic but i was very close to picking evil dead i love everything hes done, even the voice over in "the ant bully" i just laughed my head off coz it was bruce... just wish Ted Raimi was going now and it would be amazing.

Personally, I've loved too many of the things to vote for just one - I suppose 'other' might have been the right choice but there could've been an 'all the above' choice (not that there aren't enough choices already and not meant in a pedantic way - love these @why are you meeting ...' questions).

 

Just so glad I'm now going, instead of having to ask someone to get things for me (a la GMex 3).

For me (like the majority of people) I'll be there for him due to his roles in the Evil Dead franchise - and to mark that occasion I have a replica page from the Necronomicon for him to sign. However seeing as both him and Ernie Hudson will be there I'll also get my copy of Congo signed to.

Having now seen Going Back i have to ask him how it feels to have worn the worst moustache in movie history :)
