  1. Has anyone ever used the send in autograph service? Can't make the show but I have a dvd I'd like signed by Ted Raimi and I'm wondering how good the service is.
  2. They did have a gap at the end last year. The biggest issue for me on Sunday was the lack of control over queuing for photoshoots as ive mentioned elsewhere.
  3. Was being very British about it and holding my tounge. Just wanted to mention it for future
  4. Great show again, loved meeting Robert Englund for a photo and my nephew had a blast with the Liverpool lads and Walking Dead peeps. However.....I do have one observation regarding photoshoots. I'm not going to say which zone as I don't want to drop anyone in it but for some shoots the tickets were being scanned as the queue formed and there were people in the queue just standing with the actual shootee (if you get my drift). They were then going in with the shootee and as the tickets were not being checked again I'm fairly sure some people got into shoots without a ticket. Elsewhere the tickets were scanned when you went into the booth so it wasn't an issue. All of the booth should have been run like this. I also personally got held up by late comers who had a more preferential batch number than me. One or two people I don't mind but when it was 15+ it did get slightly annoying. I understand buying a better batch but if you're late you're late and should have to wait your turn imo. As I said though, great show.
  5. he ticket is for my nephew but the name on it says Mr Emma (my sister) Fitgerald and has her dob on it
  6. No worries, these things can't be helped. On another note i ordered tickets for my sister and nephew and put the wrong details on a photoshoot. I did email the shop but have not heard back. The ticket is valid just in the wrong name, is this ok?
  7. On another ticket related question (though I think I know the answer). If due to unforeseen circumstances i am unable to attend the show now (family issues) is there anyway of getting a refund on the tickets I've bought (entry and one photoshoot)
  8. Obviously I don't know how it works but if someone is paid to come over for whatever reason then what's to stop somebody else approaching said person and enquiring as to whether they are free to stay and attend Collectormania?
  9. Kevin Conroy is in the UK the weekend before so how's about getting him to stay an extra week
  10. Couple of quick questions. What does it mean when it says photos come in a book? I ask because normally I just get given the picture. Secondly what do I do if I've entered some details incorrectly on a ticket when buying it? I've just realised that I've done this on one of my tickets that was meant for my nephew but I've entered dc some details of his mum. Does this matter if my nephew is the only one having the photo with that particular guest since he can just hand it over anyway?
  11. I watched the movie with my 8 year old last night and she loved it. The tv box sets have had their prices jacked up on ebay and amazon since Adam passed away
  12. All mine are in boxes as I'm moving house this weekend but my favourite autographs are from Bruce Campbell, he signed my Evil Dead poster, my Evil Dead dvd (book of the dead packaging) and probably best of all my Tornado dvd which Ernie Hudson signed on the same day. Also cultivating autographs on my Masters of Horror boxset, thus far I've got Robert Englund, William Forsyth, and now Jeffrey Combs
  13. Meant to all this a few days ago but never got round to it. Did any of the comic book stall holders have cards for websites or shops? I forgot to ask when I was there.
  14. Robin and Catwoman from the principal cast (not counting John Astins Riddler as Frank Gorshin will always be Nygma to me) are all that's left
  15. A few weeks ago I was genuinely devastated by the tragic passing of a key element of my youth Chris Cornell and I hoped that that would be the end of it for a while. As much as I mourned Cornells loss however it pales in comparison to how I feel right now after hearing that Adam West has died at the age of 88. Everyone who knows me will attest to the fact that I am both a geek and a huge Batman fan as the Caped Crusader is my goto hero of choice, always has been and always will be. And it was through Wests portrayal of the not so Dark Knight that I was introduced to Bruce Wayne, his trusty ward Dick Grayson and all the supporting characters. True the show originally aired in the late 1960's and it only ran for two seasons and one film (West and co-star Burt Ward would reprise the characters in other tv shows such as Legends of the Superheroes) but it resonated with fans and became such a cult smash that it has been shown by way of repeats somewhere in the world ever since and I fell in love with it when I saw it as a kid. I'm not going to discuss the pros and cons of the show and its take on the Batman mythos because there will be plenty of others who have an opinion on that, all I will say is that every part of it filled me with childish delight as it still does today and for me West is my favourite live action Batman ever committed to screen (my top guy remains Kevin Conroy from the Animated Series). Everything about the 60's Batman show was awesome, whether it was the batdance, the can of shark repellent, Caesar Romero refusing to shave off his moustache to play the Joker or the constant one liners being delivered by Robin for me it just never put a foot wrong. Adam West amassed almost 200 acting credits during his 63 year career and during that time he showed that he had real acting chops and could have been a terrific leading man had the role of Batman not acted as an albatross around his neck as studios weren't prepared to look past his performance on Batman and see what a great actor he actually was. That said he did carve out a career for himself and younger fans will recognise him best as Mayor Adam West in Family Guy (I hope he gets a worthy send off in that show) though he could never escape the Shadow of the Bat as evidenced by his final acting credit as the voice of Bruce Wayne and Batman in the animated feature Batman vs Two Face which is the sequel to the brilliant Return of the Caped Crusaders from last year. In closing I have to say that it strikes me as a touch ironic/poignant that just yesterday I watched the finale of Gotham season 3 which saw the beginning of David Mazouz taking his young Bruce Wayne down the path to being Batman, its almost like one new Batman emerges as one of the pioneers of the role leaves this mortal coil. At least now West can keep the likes of Gorshin, Meredith, Romero and co in check as they play out their game of cunning plans and dastardly traps for all eternity. RIP Adam, you will be sorely missed but never forgotten.
  16. I'm not sure if they had the pele talk on Saturday as he was over an hour late arriving for the photoshoot and then had autographs to sign and all that jazz.
  17. I read it as some concerns being raised regarding the level of checks (or lack thereof) in relation to their bags which of course is only an issue based on recent events. I don't think anyone really had an issue with cosplay weapons though I think it's human nature that some people are going to be on edge in the current climate.
  18. To be fair to the US show they were left with little option after what happened.
  19. The signs are not always upto date. For instance Christian had one up but he posed with people and Peter Shilton was happy to pose with me despite the sign behind him too. (I only asked him after seeing the person in front of me get a picture)
  20. Maybe you looked less trustworthy :)
  21. Heres the two photoshoots I came to the show for. God only knows what I was doing in the Christian shot, I jokingly reasured him that I wasn't intentionally touching his backside which raised a laugh and he chuckled when I went to get it signed and told him that he had missed the chance to do the I'm a little teapot song.....making the most of a bad situation. I wasn't going to meet Peter Shilton but when I saw his table was free I decided to go and get his autograph for my wife who had a massive childhood crush on him hence the lots of love comment he wrote, she actually squealed when I gave it to her so I was in the good books. Loved meeting Jeffrey Combs who talked to me about the number of different cats they used whilst filming Black Cat for the Masters of Horror series as that was the dvd I bought along for him to sign. I also bought my 13 year old nephew to his first ever show and he got to have a photo with Pele which will stay with him for the rest of his life which is pretty awesome.
  22. How do you get your pictures on here? Through something like photobucket?
  23. I'm assuming they stay there forever since I've just gone back and seen my Bruce Campbell photo from nine years ago
