Anyone notice any goofs in CSI? Post away!!

In episode #3.20, "Last Laugh", CSI Warrick Brown enters a convenience store in Las Vegas. Just after entering, he passes in front of a California Lotto kiosk.

In episode #207 ("And Then There Were None"), during the first autopsy, when Al removes the slug from the victim's back, he accidentally drops the slug on the table and the corpse blinks.

In "Play With Fire" Grissom is holding the phone up to his left ear when he's talking on it. It would be impossible for him to hear who he was talking to since he was deaf in his left ear and this occurred before he had surgery to correct the problem.

Any more?

The fact you can always see dead bodies breathing

In the Vegas/Miami crossover when they pull the car out of the water the body falls out and the womans stomach is clearly moving...

I love playing "spot the dead guy breathing"

CSI:NY

Recycling (series 1)

In the episode Recycling the woman with the knitting needle stated that she knits her dog things like the blanket he is sitting on. The blanket (a granny square blanket) is a crocheted blanket not knitted.

**

Three Generations are Enough

At the beginning when the robot is lifting fingerprints from the suitcase, you can see a person walking around in the background-something not likely when there is a bomb threat.

*****

Blink

Audio problem: When Mac and co. enter the basement of the house in Queens (the one where the third woman was found) the record player lifts off its needle and moves to another spot on the record, cutting off the sound for a second. However, the music starts again slightly before the needle hits the record.

American Dreamers

In autopsy, Mac, Stella and Dr. Hawkes M.E. are examining a skeleton that was found on a bus. As Mac asks about cause of death, Sheldon points to a skull fracture that is evident above the skeleton's left eye, a fracture that wasn't there when the skeleton was first discovered sitting in the back of the bus.

CSI Me mammy

Golden Parachute

They pull a man out of the swamp who they believe is still alive, but not breathing, and they sit there pounding on his chest. Not only did they not check for a pulse to determine that chest compressions were necessary, but no one was giving mouth to mouth or doing rescue breathing.

*****

Entrance Wound

While Horatio and Alexx are examining the prostitute's body, you can see the corpse breath in a side view

The compound Heptan-2-one is mentioned several times in this episode. The actress concerned persists in pronouncing the last syllable 'one' as in the number 1, whereas its correct scientific pronounciation should be as in the word 'bone' ie. sounds like 'own'. Nitpicking certainly, but a dead giveaway to any viewer with a basic knowledge of chemistry.

******

Bunk

Nitric acid is a liquid and not a gas. The gaseous precurser is NO2 which combines with water forming nitric acid, HNO3. Neither causes instant death.

Horatio writes the symbols for sulfuric acid, H2SO4, on a clear board. Both numbers should be subscripts but he writes the 4 as a large number, suggesting a lack of basic chemistry knowledge

Using a Draeger tube to test for nitric acid fume, the instrument made a clicking sound. This device does not click. The bellows pump is squeezed drawing air through the tube. A reaction takes place between the air contaminant and the material in the tube causing a color change. The length of stain is proportional to the concentration.

******

Hurricane Anthony

At the beginning the media broadcasts reports about hurricane Andrew, but later into the episode, this changes to hurricane Anthony as the episode is titled.

******

Stalkerazzi

The photographer who found the dead guy, told Horatio that he was chasing a black Cadillac Escalade that was chasing the Stalkerazzi's car. He also said that he got stuck behind a truck and that when he finally caught up the Stalkerazzi was dead and there was no sign of the black Escalade. Throughout the rest of the episode nobody does any looking into the black Escalade, asks suspects if they own one or even mention it again. No investigation of the truck that the photographer got stuck behind was shown either. In the same episode Speed tells a cop, while in a tree looking into someone's yard, that they go in through windows if need be to close a case. This is totally inconsistent with the rest of the show and the law. They are always careful about getting search warrants and doing things by the book.

In episode: #1.8, "Anonymous", the marks on the ransom note have marks from the drum unit of a laser printer but when they show the page printing from the machine back at the lab it is an ink-jet printer which has no drum. Furthermore, the inkjet printer makes the sounds of a dot matrix printer.

In Episode #1.13 "Boom", Catherine enters the morgue to see the body of Nick's dead prostitute friend. After Doc Robbins says, "Can I help you, Catherine," she responds, "I just wanna see the body, David." On CSI, Doc Robbins first name is Al. However, the actor who portrays Doc Robbins, Robert David Hall, has been known to go by his middle name, David. Doc Robbins does have a helping hand in the morgue, David Phillips, however he is obviously not in the scene.

Ha I have a goof. Ok, in season four "invisible evidence" the scene where the vic's sister is in reception and talks to warrick a blond lady in a black top walks behind him... Warrick leaves and Nick steps in, the SAME blonde lady walks behind Nick.

Are they running out of extras? Because I'll sure as hell step in!

*flies over the atlantic and lands in Vegas* Blimey it's hot here!

You're in the wrong town. LOL They actually film most of the show in Los Angeles - hence the California Lottery store goof.

As far as I know, they only film in Vegas a week or so during a season.

I heard that, they just film there to get the looks over LV that they play for a few seconds at a time in each ep! cool stuff!

what about when there is stuff filmed in the desert? is that not LV either?! and what about the casino stuff?!?! but I suppose other States have those and rocks with sand!

They do film there but most of it is done in the immense studios they have in L.A.

Billy Petersen once said that the show keeps its ratings because of the on location filming they do.

Wow, how cool would that be, to be on holiday or something, and run into them filming. Then the director realises he's missing an actress for a crucial scene with Greg..... he spots you and next thing you know, you're neckin' with Greg!

'Lady Heathers Box'

Rebecca McCormack, (the woman who's husband contributes to Lady Heathers website), is found strangled on the stairs.

When Grissom and Catherine first enter, you can clearly see her mouth is closed. When the close up comes, her mouth is open...and it really bugs me
