Showmasters Admin showmasters Posted May 13, 2005 Showmasters Admin Share Posted May 13, 2005 We are introducing a new "gold pass" service at the next London Film and Comic Con. As well as the standard and early bird tickets which will be avaliable to buy on the door, you will now have a chance to purchase one of a very limited number of gold pass tickets. These are available to book in advance, and as well as giving you full access to the show over the weekend without having to join the long admission queues it will also give you faster access to the guests and priority in all the talks. Here are the main advantages for gold pass patrons: 1. Early Bird Entry Without having to line-up in the main queue outside! With your pass you will have access to a dedicated entrance in the mornings of the show. This will allow you to enter the venue from the early bird times without having to join the main queue at the entrance! 2. Free Talk Tickets A ticket for each talk (free and charged-for) will be available to pre-book free of charge. For the first hour of the show, tickets will also be held back for any Gold Pass Patron who has not been able to pre-book their tickets. Priority seating will also be given to Gold Pass Patrons, who will be able to enter the seating area before the main queue. 3. Autograph Queues Gold Pass Patrons will have the advantage of being ABLE TO JOIN THE BACK OF ANY QUEUE WITHOUT HAVING A VIRTUAL QUEUING TICKET! This will cut down your overall waiting time incredibly, and allows a great deal more to be done over the weekend. 4. Goody Bags - Fox Gold Pass Patrons will receive a 20th Century Fox goody bag with great promotional movie items, some of which cannot be bought elsewhere! 5. Goody Bags – Dedicated Gold Pass Patrons will also receive a Showmasters goody bag of their choice from one of the following subjects: Lord Of The Rings Star Wars Harry Potter Star Trek Buffy & Angel Stargate Cult TV Cult Film The chosen bag will contain some great items ranging from Posters, Promo items (badges, cards etc…) and images. Each bag will also include several autographs! 6. Photo CD To help you remember your experience at the show, we will send on a photo CD of images taken by the Official Showmasters photographer at the show! 7. Assistance If you have any problems concerning your Gold Pass you will be able to contact a dedicated crew member who will be available to help you on the day. THERE ARE ONLY 50 GOLD PASS'S AVAILABLE, and these are being made available to the fans only. They will be available to buy (unless sold out) up to 2 weeks before the show at a cost of £200. garnerman
please showmasters re think on this maybe offer a silver ticket that lets you get in early and maybe jump queue how much would that cost???
Showmasters Admin showmasters Posted May 13, 2005 Author Showmasters Admin Share Posted May 13, 2005 These tickets are for die-hard fans and those who are happy to pay a premium for the advantages of being able to dispense with virtual queue tickets and being given priority at all the talks. Standard entry is still available for everyone, these gold passes are just an extra service we are offering for anyone who wants it. We'd also like to point out that the revinue from the sales of these tickets will offset the costs of the talks which this time we intend to keep free for all attendees, whereas last time we had to charge for some of the talks. In a way, look at it as the people who are buying these tickets are enabling us to bring you more guests and offer more things for free at the show. Moderators DavidB Posted May 13, 2005 Moderators Share Posted May 13, 2005 It's not like it's GOLD TICKET OR NOTHING .. it's simply a bonus option for people who can afford it and want it! So there's not much to complain about, just attend as normal if you don't want it???

theoden_of_rohan
compared on the last one how many stars could you meet in a weekend???? Look, they can't bend the whole convention around you can they? I bet they don't have any trouble selling the 50 tickets...especially seeing as though I know some people spend into the thousands at each con! And to me, the price isn't a surprise. It is expensive...but of course it would be! You get a lot for your money (especially, as one person pointed out...the autos in the goody bag) You don't have to buy this ticket, so stop worrying about your money! You can still go and queue with the rest of us and only spend your money on the autos you want!
