  1. Oh, if anyone is looking for cheap accommodation near the venue, I can recommend Abercorn House. We stayed there for last May & it was great. Basic rooms with a fridge & a desk, & shared bathrooms (but you can book rooms with private ones for a bit extra) & a short 10 min walk to Olympia.
  2. Yeah, that's definitely a laminate, NOT a dog tag. Nice keepsake, though! Thanks for clarification!
  3. Oh, when it said "dog tag" I thought it meant the military type, like an actual metal one, not plastic laminate!
  4. Hi there! I'd like to ask if any of you have seen the dog-tags that come with the Diamond Passes for LFCC? Rough idea of what they look like? Are they printed with anything, like a photo of the guest or just name/event date? Key-ring type tag or on a ball-chain? Thanks! xx
  5. Been around for a while but re-introducing myself properly... Anita, mid 40's (ouch! lol) single parent to Luke (15, ouch again lol) Been to quite a few Showmasters / Massive Events shows over the years. First one was in 2007, so this my 10th year! A whole decade of convention going, woohoooo!!! Been quite ill for a while & had a total thyroidectomy this year... slowly recovering & getting back to attending events again... so will probably see you around...
  6. Anyone from DC, Marvel or CW shows... Arrow, Supergirl, Flash, Riverdale, Daredevil, etc As we have the General Lee coming, any chance of Tom Wopat or John Schneider attending?
  7. Joss's parents still live in Ashill (near Cullompton) but I don't believe Joss lives there now. She is currently on a 2 & a half year "total world tour", so I'm not sure she'd be available...
  8. Is there any chance of getting any green screen shoots at Exeter? I know it's a long way off, but..... PLEASE can we have the DeLorean too??? So gutted I didn't go to LFCC this summer, but I was already packed for a 5 week holiday in the US! Seeing everyones photos in the car brought out the greenie in me... sorry lol!
  9. I think that, being the first event of it's kind from Showmasters "down these 'ere parts", ANYONE would be great! Anyone from Doctor Who, Back To The Future (maybe a stretch), Supernatural, Harry Potter, Buffy... well, anyone really!
  10. The buses won't be free. The number 52 bus from the Exeter Bus Station on Paris Street runs approx every 30 minutes during the day (except Sundays). The journey time is around 20 minutes. Westpoint is a request stop. For more information please visit www.stagecoachbus.com.
  11. Great to read such an encouraging post, thanks Jason... after Saturday, I said I wouldn't touch LFCC again with a bargepole, but I may be persuaded IF everything that needs changing is dealt with. I think the VQ system needs serious attention... I have no idea why over 800 VQ tickets would be given out for a 90+ yr old who already had a packed schedule... Maybe a 500 ticket cut off point per day would be more sensible. If people know this, they wouldn't be so disappointed when they KNOW that there are no more available. Also, I think NOT selling pay-on-the-day tickets on the Saturday is an excellent idea, but people need to KNOW these things for future reference.
  12. I have read that as long as the talk took place, no refunds would be issued.
  13. I think a lot of it is down to the guests personal preference (to allow them to meet more of the paying public) or due to contractual reasons.
  14. I was allowed into the Stan Lee shoot to wait for my son, but was told in no uncertain terms if I even touched my camera or phone, I would be told to leave... I turn around as my son is going through the queue, people are poking their heads round the exit barrier to get a glimpse of Stan, & a guy is snapping away on his iPhone RIGHT BEHIND ME!!! I have supported SM events for quite a few years now, but at least be consistent with the rules please!!! Also, please educate the crew properly on how VT's work, some just shrugged or hadn't a clue!!!
  15. How many shirts did Jason Mewes wear on Saturday??? I think that's 3 different ones I have seen pics of him in now hahaha!
  16. Don't tell me how I should be feeling... p*ssed off & angry is how I am feeling right now, & this won't change for some time.
  17. Sarcasm aside, as I said, seeing kids crying that didn't even get to SEE Stan, let alone get a photo or auto from him was just heartbreaking. This girl swindles 10 minutes with the guy with a few tears, pushing his already ridiculous schedule back even further = LOTS more p*ssed off people than there were already! As a side note, I was allowed into the shoot to wait for my son, but was told in no uncertain terms if I even touched my camera or phone, I would be told to leave... I turn around as my son is going through the queue, people are poking their heads round the exit barrier to get a glimpse of Stan, & a guy is snapping away on his iPhone RIGHT BEHIND ME!!! 18. E-Cigs are now being banned on buses & public transport... they should be banned from public venues as well.
  19. LMAO!..Clever clever lady.....mind you I've heard worse....feigning illness, charging at a guest and kissing them without even asking permission, groping at photo shoots, stalking them round hotels....the list is endless... She done well...I salute her... There were plenty of CHILDREN crying that didn't even get to SEE Stan, let alone get a photo or auto from him... Puts things in perspective a little, I think. Oh don't get me wrong...I think it's disgusting to push oneself onto guests in a manner of getting more time....but it happens....my sarcasm to the young lady is directed totally at her and not at anyone who was unfortunate to miss out on any special time or indeed any time at all with the man himself....I cannot comment as I didn't even try ...I might have another chance to meet him soon though...depends on how exhausted he is after this trip....am sure he'll be good to go after a quick trip home and good rest though... Not sure what the winking smiley is about, but I not only find it sarcastic, but also find it very condescending. I hadn't read your original comment as sarcastic, but having read it back, it is just as sarcastic as the last one. Yes, Stan Lee is 90+ years old... yes, he will get tired... and yes, people are VERY disappointed... but replying with sarcasm won't help anyone... In fact, it will just p*ss people off even more.

  21. Seems like all you need to do to get some personal time with a guest is turn on the waterworks... must remember that next time! https://imgur.com/gallery/4lG9G/new
  22. I just don't understand if the crew could see how fast/slow the signing was going, why didn't they stop handing out VT's??? My friend got one for my son (numbered 700+) & I have seen comments from people that had numbers over 1200+ who had no chance! What 90+ yr old is honestly going to sign 1200+ autographs in a 2-3 hour session??? Ridiculous.
  23. The one photo we got done... but the smile on my son's face made the 5 hour queue worth it!
