i agree with gosh, its about time the north east had an event, especially with newcastle airport. yes it was a small event but with the support of the local people will make this bigger and better for next year (hopefully)

poster for me, i think its more individual and a lot less hassle to frame than lots of 8x10's here is my star wars poster (over 50 signatures i think) and its getting mr blessed's signature on it on saturday

if you want to use a taxi then i would recommend that you book one in advance (couple of days) tell them what time your train arrives and no worries about trying to flag one down (if thats even possible nowadays) it worked for me the last twice i have been to gmex. and the taxi cost me £5 one way (cheaper if you have a friend or 2 of course) but might be looking into the tram (didn't know it was that it dropped off that close to gmex) just in case you want to walk it, here are some walking directions http://maps.yell.com/client/yell/?qs_1=pic...p;x=55&y=10

lets see if showmasters can top 'bruce campbell' for this event with bruce going to midlands and only a week before, could have just killed manchester (along with 2 other events at gmex, no hotel rooms and man u playing at home) people will be changing thier plans to go to midlands and not manchester unfortunate

i rang gmex and the event is on, but you will be lucky to get hotel under £200 as there is 2 other shows at gmex and manchester united are playing at home on the saturday

to be honest that doesn't fill me with confidence, last year the gmex event was cancelled due to a number of factors (man u playing at home, lack of hotel rooms and others) i have tried getting a hotel room and it wasn't easy all of the premeire inns were full and i (and many others)don't want to loose money on hotel and travel arrangements because showmasters suddenly cancel this great event. the last one in november was fab.

just been looking at the gmex website and for the dates of the 8th and 9th of march we have 8th of march the national assembly 8th of march manchester international tatoo show no mention of the showmasters event, hope its still on gotta book hotels and travel arrangements
