maybe people would do that, but whats the point? im sure no one wants to claim a photo of someone else. i believe thats the way unclaimed photos are claimed after various con;s who shall remain nameless.

they could lay them out in sections, take a photo of it, and then put numbers above each photo - that might be quicker than scanning them all. 10 per photo or something. if that makes sense how i've described it.

I was more referring to the people who were making a big noise at the time, the kind of people who thinkshouting loud about the situation will actually change it, speed up time or something. and i see where you're coming from, i drove i was on my own timetable, if a little rushed, hungry and late to get home.

The route of the problem was Snappy Snaps saying they could turn around that many photos in that space of time. and they didnt. I used to be a manager of a photoshop, and obv they jumped at the chance of this huge order, but they obv were the problem and let everyone down. I could sympathise with the whole situation with SM, but it was clear others did not. I dont think it's fair to blame them entirely because if the company says they can do it, why would you think they wouldnt otherwise? I believe other shops are helping out with the other shoots so hopefully it wont be that bad. I think some people were getting angry when it does absolutetly no good whatsoever and you jsut get more annoyed. I heard peoples saying stuff about trades descriptions, fraud etc, but am i right in thinking it does not def say you will get your photo the same day. yes there were errors in many areas, but i felt people were being a bit out of line. <edit> i too waited 5 hours for my photo and was 2hrs late for where i was meant to be yesterday evening.

ah this was me for 3 days last time! me being socially inept really didnt help. I was sick of my own company after 3 dfays i have to say. altho i had prob walked about 10miles over the 3 days around the shoppping centre!!! just one day for me this year. im sure you'll have a stalking great time :-)

i got there between 10 and 11 one time and it was a nightmare getting a space. coupled with Mk being a complete maze, finding the free spaces (or even a pay space thats available) can sometimes be hard. it's one of my main concerns. I'd buy a GPS system if i lived in MK i'd be totally lost!

Interesting, since my local Costco has been selling packs of 20 black Sharpies with a free silver Sharpie for about the last 18 months. (I'm assuming these have been imported by Costco themselves, rather than by Sanford...) thats weird. ill be keeping my eyes open when i go to makro....

if you want to pay me £20, i'll start signing before the guest turns up :-) i'm so not looking forward to trying to find a parking space. im so not prepared with my fivers and change for parking. *sigh*.

i use the hard plastic sleeves that they sell at the event (bought a pack of 50) and i've not had any trouble with anything rubbing off as a general rule. only glitch was not waiting long enough for carrie fisher gold to dry (wasnt sharpie) and not waiting for tony head's to dry either. other than that, so far they seem to be surviving well, my oldest is about 4 years old. oh and iyari was using a silver fine liner on costume card, but it was crap - avoid them - but iyari is hot so i let her off :-) on a non CM note, i have a signed photo of phil collins (su su sussido!!) which has been kept in anorma a4 plastic sleeve (like at school!) and that seems find after about 10 years. i always take a sharpie with me (a silver one from ebay as directed from a kind someone here) and a black one, but ive nto had to use them.

I wore a navy t shirt on my amber shoot and it was fine, she was wearing a dark green i think. Ill either be wearing a dark grey or yellow t shirt on saturday i think. trying to decide if iw ant to look lary yellow, i wore it to a recording of graham norton and i was very easy to spot!! I dont usually like to stand out :-) It seems some of us have been ok with dark colours and also with light colours, so i'd say perhaps its best we all wear what we're comfy with and we'll look comfy in our photos and it'll all be fab!

i say non white suggestion - with the lights, and if a flash is needed (depending on weather) then it will look really bright and could make either one of your skin tones just look a bit blah. Im trying to decide too, i could wear a yellow ts hirt, but i think it might be a bit woah!!!! I like to wear quirky t shirts that guests comment on :-) not sure if charisma is that bothered though :-)

oooh its my birthday that weekend... great excuse to lure attractive celebrities into hugging and adorning me with kisses with that in mind PLEASE invite iyari limon........ or better yet eliza iyari has a new indie film out soon - surely she's up for promoting that within the buffy fandom!

Yes, in a poll of (apparently) 3000 readers of a pro-Joss Whedon magazine, who would probably vote for a hatstand if it had Whedon's picture stuck on it. Serenity is a better film than genre-defining masterpieces like Star Wars, Alien, Forbidden Planet, Blade Runner...? A better film? I guess it all depends on who you're asking. well theres no need for that. I dont ness agree with it, however i think star wars is over rated.... out of those you'd mention i'd prob go for Alien 3. I'd say Serenity is prob one of or the best modern sci fi films - as I'd disregard the new star wars film they are, in my opinion, tat.

an excellent reply from showmasters. i think its true that the Q was organzied much better on the sunday for James, I Qed from 7am and got a ticket, but needn't have bothered as the last 2hrs there was no Q. (didnt realise it wasnt contracted to sign all day though). Im not going for James, just Charisma. I have a photo shoot with her, so I am at least guarnteeed (bar her cancelled) to meet her, an autograpgh im not so sure about as I'll prob be arriving between 9 and 10 and I am driving down from essex (and also getting a parking space in that bloody place at weekends is ridiculous). I heard talk that Sunday may be the busiest (with all the events going on) but i guess we wait and see. I've been attending since C4 and i think sometimes a guest you think might be really busy isnt, and one you dont expect is, so we can just see on the day. If i had my way, all the guests i want to see would be there on the friday and i'd always get the day off work Im hoping my friend who will get tehre earlier will be able to get my a VT ticket, but im not getting my hopes up. Luckily so far (fingers crossed for me) there is no one else iw ant to meet particulary so maybe this will be my cheapest CM yet, haha. My only suggestion is to try and get there earlier. i think those who arrive in the early hours of the morning tend to scare newcomers (no offense) because sometimes its not nessescary, but people do it cos they enjoy it, can or whatever.

sruely Aly was not that keen on Cons before WHMS! it cant have just been us that scared her! I met her briefly and got one of my best photos ever with a buffy star - she was very nice ni those few seconds that imet her!! Eliza would be the pinnacle for me

No i dont think she will, she had a problem at one con so shes not as out there i hear... she was ok when i met her, only getting a pic to add to my Buffy and Angel collection yeah i saw a photo of her with a fan and it was lik they were both sitting on the bus thats fair enough though, theres some weirdos out there. I count myself as one to some degree. I read this on wikipedia She is one of the only cast members from Buffy and Angel who refuses to charge for her autograph at fan conventions. are showmasters changing their rules
