  1. Thanks for that as i would have missed them as you said. I am hoping though that these who guests are not confined to being invited just cos they were stormtroopers.
  2. Hi all can we have confirmation on the following guests please? John cannon. Derek chafer. Steve ismay. Michael leader. Mike mungarvan. I read on another site that all the above who guests are attending the show but as there is no mention on this site then i am not sure. Hopefully they are and a few more to come. Cheers.
  3. Hear hear well done good answer my points exactly. I consider these guests i mentioned rare cos i am limited to where i can go and meet them. If they continually go to a ( to me ) remote part of the country all the time that doesn't help me does it? Lets hope we get more rare sorry guests i haven't met before added soon so i can start to budget.
  4. Second that her auto would come in handy
  5. Hope its early days here as considering we are looking at guests who never done an sm show before like peter purves and donnas mum so its looking good then
  6. In return a few good names there on your list. i didnt want to put too many down but yeah some very good rare guests there awesome keep em coming. Is Carmen Munroe a different person to Cathy Munroe who was in The Horns Of Nimon and ALSO played Zuckuss the bounty hunter from The Empire Strikes Back?
  7. Reading the post re Who guests covering all aspects of the shows history does this mean people behind the cameras as well as in front? or does it just imply to actors from the start to the present? If its the latter then may i m+ake a few suggestions? Maureen O Brien Jackie Lane Mark Hardy John Gleeson Cy Town Derek Deadman Bernard Holley Reg Whitehead Christopher Robbie Stuart Fell Julian Bleach Catherine Tate Peter Capaldi Christopher Eccleston Damaris Hayman Alec Linstead That list is just for starters no doubt a lot of people will moan about the volume of Who guests which is fair enough but to myself and other collectors ANY chance in getting ANY of the above would be MOST welcome probably due to the fact that they are RARE MAY HAVE SOMETHING TO WITH IT.
  8. I said it before this is only the start of weeding out the wheat from the chaff. I will let you in cos you have a diamond pass. I wont let you in as you are only a poor mortal with limited income i only go to these for the autograph's so why should fans like me and countless others be made to suffer? Perhaps its our lot in life?
  9. So you have to commit yourself to a show before any guests are announced? The preview is from 12 noon? This is helping us how exactly? The big turn out was MOSTLY for Stan lee as far as i could see. Whereas before i was getting the train and getting to the venue in plenty of time before the six pm opening now ill have to go up on the Thursday to get there at a decent time as the first train from Swansea doesn't leave early enough. So more expense now for an unnecessary extra night. Why are on the day tickets being abandoned? You are still going to have the same amount of people turn up irrespective of if they have prebooked or not. But then again if you have someone in mind of the same calibre as mr lee which i find doubtful are you really expecting such a huge turnout? The only good thing i am pleased about in the original post is the fact that it is held in Olympia apart from that lots of no nos on this one. I know my opinions don't count and any negatively means the post will be deleted but there we go....
  10. I had it all mapped out and was only going to go on the Saturday. Then Nicola Bryant was announced so that alone changed my plans and made them totally redundant. Not that i am complaining about her coming just wish she was coming Saturday instead. So now i don't know to come both days or just the Sunday.....
  11. Finally i can get my six items signed by Nicola as i tend to miss other chances in getting her. And at only a tenner a pop that suits me. Awesome guest announcement cant fault it. Now lets get other rare who guests Jackie lane Maureen o brien Julian bleach etc.
  12. Yes its never going to happen when Anthony signed my Chronicles book he seemed a bit miffed that he was a late addition instead of being one of or the first to sign it. I thought to myself "well come round more often then" Kenny has signed a cracking 10x8 for me already signed by Anthon,y didnt seem to bothered about that then.
  13. Awesome top guy had a brief chat and he asked me (as I had four Who items with me) "Not a Harry Potter fan then?" I said "no that's my daughters bag" but again came away happy with my four items signed exactly how I wanted them and the correct colour pens as well, totally landed my Other Doctor figure set previously signed by Paul McGann in bronze and now By John Hurt in gold and the other Doctor Sonic Screwdriver signed in red. A white card in gold and a 12x8 from Night Of The Doctor in silver (to match Pauls) Safe to say I am sorted for Mr Hurt but it would be nice to see him again as he is truly a first class actor and a gentleman to boot.
  14. Don't know about the poster I saw a 10x8 photo signed by the five captains and he only wanted £800 for it. I know the dealers are to sell and earn a living, but f*** me Tom that seems a bit extreme. I had four items of MINE TO KEEP THAT I AM NOT SELLING EVER and if anything I was having a chat to the guy behind me about them and Ian seemed ok about it esp my Chronicles book. And when I told him that he is going to be the only person to have signed it in red he smiled and said "oh thank you I am honoured" I went on to say that I was looking forward to seeing him in Episode 7 and he (politely) said as he was signing "well youre going to be disappointed then as I am not in it" "Really?" I said but not sure if this was just a ruse. anyway glad I met him and got my items signed. They were the Chronicles book making of episode one book a 10x8 and a VFP. Spent out but came away a happy camper. Anyway getting back to original line yes it is annoying when the dealers come along and place 30+ items as if its nothing. I would suggest the idea of a separate time for the dealers but with talks and photo shoots as well then it would leave us THE PAYING PUBLIC/FANS even less time to get what WE want......
  15. TO MUCH.WOULD HAVE BEEN EVEN MORE IF THE OTHER GUESTS I WANTED DIDNT PULL OUT
  16. two sides to this I always get my autos in person BUT when you see that same persons auto from a dealer for far less than what you have/going to pay it does make you think how much is being made at our expense. But at the end of the day by getting them yourself is better than just buying from a dealer. Like everything else though it comes down to personal choice.
  17. Fantastic i am a non smoker yet over the course of the weekend i must have had about 20 cigarettes. So thank you guys for increasing my chances in getting cancer look forward to my first session of chemotherapy. I did complain but as usual as they were foreign made out they didn't understand me. Could have left my place in the queue yeah like that's gonna happen after getting up at three am Sunday.... People say its hard to quit but it baffles Me why they START in the first place.
  18. Just glad i got my four items of him signed one of them being my beloved chronicles book. By pure chance his autograph in it became the 66TH sig in it how cool is that? Plus his will be the only one to have signed in red sharpie.
  19. I agree with the big man. Theses shows look like the wheat is being sorted from the chaff as the rich will be well cared for IE Guest A Listers packages and no pay on the day on Saturday. And if Friday becomes a FULL day then that means I for one would have to travel up on the Thursday and stay another night thus bumping my costs up AGAIN. So if this is way its going then count me OUT. I know I am just one person compared to the thousands that turned up over the whole weekend but surely opinions matter? But seeing as negativity is not allowed on this forum (freedom of speech? HA that's a laugh) then I can expect this post to be removed before I even post it for a change. Why cant people see BOTH SIDES OF THE COIN AND ONLY THE (if any) POSITIVES.?
  20. Over three days i met 30 guests but high lights were in no particular order. Summer glau liked my triple shot from scc and on my other photo as Cameron she personalised and put a quote on it. Ian mcdiarmid what a gent seemed honoured to be the only person to have signed my chronicles book in red. ( by chance he is the 66TH to have signed it. John hurt well what can i say? Total gentleman and he signed my four items perfectly with the pens i provided. Sarah parish OMG i am in love with her now. Jack Donnelly had a laugh with him told me he is halfway filming series two of Atlantis. These are just a few examples. The chaos of the queues and getting out and back in again and the queue jumpers had marred the weekend but the actual meeting of the guests did as always make it seem worthwhile.
  21. Or if you want to see someone that desperately just jump the queue as that seems to be the normal practice nowadays. I know its wrong but doesn't stop people from doing it. I didn't get Stan lee cos i cant be in two places at once. Maybe in future if a guest of such a huge calibre is announced then it could be kept to an event with just that one guest a sort of mini event where you can only gain access by ticket. No ticket no entry keep it simple. That way you control the numbers and know exactly how many are going to turn up. No fuss no hassles and everyone who turns up goes away happy. Sorry just a suggestion....
  22. This is just one reason why i do not bother with photo shoots. It takes up valuable signing time often there are clashes and crowds galore which really don't help. I only go for autographs and that CAN be a nightmare alone. But as to no refunds unless the guest cancels does seem unfair as its like ha we got your hard earned dosh upto you if turn up or not. Not only that but it seems that any refunds made can take upto a,week or more. Its as if its a physically painful process in giving money back. We are told time and time again without you the fans there would be no show well what if we all did a no show and i mean noone turned up at all? Total ghost town outside. May make management think twice. Doesn't make a diff who the guests are the bigger the guest the more people are gonna turn up. Yet i find the more guests who are announced earlier tend to pull out at the last minute and there is nothing you can do about it as guests appear subject to work commitments. All loopholes have been covered if there is a problem with anything nothing can be done about it sadly..
  23. As a side note i was in the pre paid queue with my two tickets at the ready.
