  1. Out of curiosity did many people go to this? When I walked passed it there was nobody around, but this was around 5.30pm.
  2. That sounds like it might be my mate (we got separated in the talk) - I was the one who accidentally put the grid on her camera. I will ask her and get back to you. Ah yes, she did mention that she was seperated from her mate who was at the front of the talk. Thanks Fozziefuzz (love the name btw)
  3. I agree with you Topangacanyon. I think it was poor form from both sides. I struggled to hear most of the questions and answers, but from what I could hear the response from the questions could have been a little nicer and somewhat less condescending. I could also understand frustration from Gillian too as maybe she was expecting better questions. However, the last question fired at Gillian was cool and was answered well by Gillian too. I'm just glad the girl in the audience managed to get a chance as she had her hand up through the whole talk and I thought she'd never get her go. It was intense to watch!
  4. There was a really cool girl that was sitting next to me at the Gillian Anderson talk. She had problems with trying to figure out how to get "the grid" off her Jujifilm camera. Although we had a very brief banter she was so lovely and jolly to talk to
  5. This is sex on wheels and no other machine on wheels beats this for me so I'll be a happy man to see this tomz!
  6. Be nice to have Dean Stockwell as I missed my chance to meet him in the past.
  7. There was a really cute girl right at the front of the Sean Patrick Flanery talk. She had a beige dress and a warm smile- I was hoping to bump into her as I was wandering around the hall but alas she was nowhere to be seen....
  8. There was a dude out there on Saturday who had what looked like a genuine Ghosbuster Proton pack- looked great!
  9. I'm totally with you on that Pamela86. He was a genuinely nice down to earth guy. Was a bit surprised at the small turn out for his talk too- The talk was great as he was funny and had lots of interesting things to say! At one point I was contemplating on asking him if he wanted to pack it all in and go down the pub.
  10. It's certainly the best starting point to spark a conversation with a girl as you have something to talk about- better than going to a bar and end up struggling to find common ground... And as Nosfer2 says, just be yourself even if you do end up fumbling and chatting nonsense- I've come to terms all that-i'll never be as cool as the kid next door, but it can be fun trying lol
  11. What an interesting thread...The opposite thing actually happened to me. I actually lost my GF from going to a con 2 years ago...It was my first con and I got a bit excited and started talking to everyone I came across as it felt amazing sharing same interests in all things film & TV- She kept getting annoyed (and probably intimidated) and thought it was all a bit too much for her....the various displays memorabilia around my flat should've been a dead giveaway lol....suffice to say I was well gutted
  12. lmao you seem very county-ist any how :) i know who you're talking about but i'm unsure of her name, did she dress in scrubs or something on one of the days? Yes she was in scrubs on Sunday and I think on the Saturday might have been posing as BSG. She was hosting in the cosplay area...don't know her name though but was very very chatty when on stage.
  13. There fighting scenes are more intense than the original. In this film you can believe that the kid can fight and fight well. In the original the fighting scenes were good but i guess as time has passed we expect that little bit more than that.
  14. Sammo Hung is in IP man 2? I was keen to see this film as the first was excellent... Now I'm gonna make it a point- Gotta love a bit of Sammo.
  15. Is anyone going to the Frightfest festival in London this year? First time i've heard about it.
  16. I didn't buy anything though as always was tempted to take out my wallet a few times. One stall was selling a really cool piece of artwork inspired by BladeRunner- It was by the front entrance- I probably should've just pushed the boat and got that.
  17. I helped produce the DVD for this. Was blown away with the film- I remember having a pretty bad fever when I watched it which lead to one of the most morbid dream's i've ever had. Great score too. I had no idea it was on blu-ray now as it's been a few years. I still got it in my top 10 DVD collection.
  18. You certainly are not alone because a good friend of mine feels the exact same way you do and he will not see it as it's one of those iconic films of it's time. I do feel that it was a film that did not need to be re-made like many other films that are coming from Hollywood these days. I think if it was not for Jackie Chan I would not be too bothered on seeing it. Let's hope they do leave the classic 80's films alone-heaven forbid if they ever re-made The Goonies or Back to the Future etc.
  19. I saw The Karate Kid a couple of weeks ago and can't help but like it. I confess I am a huge Jackie Chan fan but I felt it had all the good elements of the original film- fighting scenes were pretty fun to watch and I thought Jaden Smith did good too. Only nag is that it was a bit longer than expected, that and "it's not Karate, it's Kung Fu" If anyone else has seen it what are your thoughts?
  20. I did spot her with a group just behind the stage 1 talk area. Really cute outfit but for life of me could not figure out what character it was from.
  21. Who is that girl in pic 128? What a smile!
