I noticed the bloke walking about but never knew what it was about till i saw this thread lol. Tbh, it didnt bother me of the thought i may be on there. I guessed it wasnt going to be a long bit on et4 so if we were even on it, it would be for what, a second? And really who is going to notice you tht quickly! If theyre going to turn round and slate you for it, and your embarrased that you've come then why do you even come if your ashamed lol. People have said about french people here and i agree with some of you that they can be annoying, because i had a few problems with them, but i do like that they come from abroad to see it. On saturday morning, i asked a girl what picture you got for Gil's autograph because she had got a picture signed and i wondered if that was what they gave us, but she was french and could not understand a word i said to her. It just annoyed me that she couldnt understand anything, and seemed she had made no effort to try to learn even a little english. when i go on holiday i always try to learn at least the basics of where i am going, so even if i didnt understand someone i could reply in their own language and tell them i was english and didnt understand. But the girl couldnt even say that. And i know that some people find it hard to learn other languages which i do, but i always try so i dont feel i am ignoring people. I have no disrespect for people from other countries i was just very annoyed that she could not even tell me she didnt understand me in english. I understood "i do not understand" in french and so then i got that she couldnt speak english, but i thought it wasnt fair to come to an english convention and not be able to speak a word of the language. I did think to myself, what if she needs help from someone but cannot tell them because she cannot speak english, or when she is getting the autographs and a guest tries to start a converstion... I know its not everyone who is like this but it did make me annoyed to realise that some people didnt even try. Sorry for that little rant there. I guess some people wont like that but its purely my opinion and i have nothing against people from abroad coming :)

I think the montage is awsome, but im going to get a book that will fit smaller size things for autos and stuff So i wont get this signed but it will be a reminder to go on my wall :) I wasnt planning on buying anything from the dealers room but i will now because i cant make awsome graphics lol. I can see where people are coming from in being annoyed with this, at 1st i was, but theres nothing we can do and SM are really only trying to help i guess.

Honestly, im insanly annoyed now. I know that ME cant stop them dropping out but one of the reasons i can was because of the 3 guests announced at the last one. I cant afford to go to ET5 because ive gone silver for this one and im actually regretting it now. If i could swap to standard and pay for what i wanted i would, but i cant lol. Ill still have an awsome time because of the awsome friends i meet there, just gutted about the guests.

Im pretty much sorted now :) Got my corset and skirt, just need some tights and something to cover more of my bum :s

Oh I completely understand the expense, but the way you were basically saying 'I wont ever go to another massive events con' seemed to be putting the blame solely on them. If anything, it can just be a learning experience to weigh up what you really want from a con, and perhaps wait until later to book or something like that. But there's never going to be a guarantee of a certain number of guests, or specific guests, from ANY organiser. Just because another con gets some guests, it doesn't necessarily mean they're 'better' - sometimes work gets in the way, and sometimes it doesn't! Doesn't make ME any worse than the others, and the same back. Perhaps some people should give up conventions in general because that risk is always going to be there. All I'm saying is I have my own opinion and I'm disappointed. Because whats the point in making promises and making the cons more expensive when so far I can't see any guests who are any different from the ones we've had before. And I never said anything about ME being worse than any other cons or comparing them. I'm saying I have my own opinion, and I'm disappointed and really annoyed. :)

I was waiting for someone to say this, because I find it a very disappointing attitude. Truth is that this can happen to ANY organiser. It happened to another one last weekend where the two main guests pulled out the SAME WEEK as the convention, and then another the day before I believe. And I saw people being absolutely horrible to them. It was disgusting. In fact, I hope those people see this happening here, and do realise that actually it can happen anywhere. It's an extremely disappointing situation for all involved, but to suggest you won't come to another con because of it isn't really fair on the organisers. I realise you're disappointed and upset, but considering the many cons that ME run with great guests, do you really want to completely give up on them because of an unfortunate situation? I just think you're being unfairly harsh to be honest, but if you don't want to come to any anymore then of course that's your choice. It could easily work the complete opposite for the next con, and all the good guests will attend, and some people will miss out because of their choices. Who knows. Actually if you read what I said I said I appricated all the work that ME does put into the cons :) But when you don't work full time, £200 is alot of money. edited to move the quote end cos it messed up a bit. hope you dont mind

I'm actually really really annoyed at this. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion so if people are stressy over ANOTHER guest cancellation then they are well in their own right to be. Most of us can't offord to blow money left right and centre so obviously when we're promised "bigger and better guests" and the bigger and best one drops out the con then yeah. Annoyed. No disrespect to Peter because of course he's a very busy man and it's a shame he can't come but that doesnt effect the fact that my friends and I have paid silver because we thought we were going to get better guests. Obviously not the case. The work ME puts in to these cons is appricated, clearly, because everyone works hard, thats obvious. But I'm annoyed and angry because I had to save for months for this and yeah everyone can be like "oh well you knew this when you brought a ticket, its an unoffical con so guest will cancel" and whatevs but when we're promised something like bigger and better guests AND the price goes up when all the other cons stay the same, it's disappointing. This line up is no different from ET1, 2 and 3. If anything, I think the line ups for ET1 and ET2 were much better than this. Definately won't be coming to a massive events con again after this disaster :) And this isnt Kaytee on this account, my account just sucks ass :):):)

Really Gutted about this. It wasnt that i really wanted to see Cameron, i just hate that our guests are going down! But i shall be having an awsome weekend with you guys (And Haylzeeee ^^)

I think i may look trashy compared to you lot! Your all in amazing dresses all clasy and stuff, and then theres me with my fishnet tights and stuff :/

Were planning on bringing our own food and stuff. Were getting breakfast and by what you guys have said i shall be eating as much as posible haha :) We stayed at the Premiere Inn last time so was the same sort of thing with food, just a different place. I remeber i was going to get lunch at the hilton last time and ended up not because i didnt have much cash with me , so ill take a trip to tesco

i had a group of people behind me who answered their phone during Kiowa and Tinsel's talk on the sat. The proceeded to talk quite loudly in their native tongue for at least 5 mins then decided to tell the rest of their group what was being said in her conversation....with Kiowa being quite quiet anyway me and my friend missed half of what he said! I think people need to respect other people and the guests and i definatly think there should be an announcement about not using phones during a talk! Thats what i mean about people being inconsiderate :/ theyve come here to the con but dont listen, talk and spoil it for others :/ i know its not everyone, and i really dont like making it sound its everyone but it really got on my nerves :/

Yeah this is how i feel! Especially once i was standing there and they were speaking in french and then looked over and laughed. I mean god say it to my face, IN ENGLISH. You're in england for gods sakes. THANKYOU!! im sooo glad its not just me! I wouldnt have minded so if people had made more of an effort to speak english, and i know many people did though, but it was the few who didnt, and i kinda think its inconsiderate :/ I know its not something ME can do really, because its people language or whatever, its just annoying in the talks when you sit there bewildered by a different language when your in a con in england....

Yeahh i dont mind the odd bit of french, they have paid but i mean i'm talking about the ones that didnt speak much english at all and didnt even try speaking english. The ones that tried to speak english were actually really nice and i spoke to them about france and stuff but some were really snobby as if they owned the place. This is one thing i didnt like. I just sat there with no idea what was going on when the guests and attendee's spoke in french. I have nothing against them being there, it was just the fact that half the people have no idea whats going on :/ and in one talk we had some foreign people sitting behind us talking all the way through in their language and it got a tad annoying :/
