I'd pay good money to go to an Alien con. For some reason (usually lack of disposable income) I always manage to miss the guests at other events but it would be great to have a group of them together. Come on SM, please make it happen!

Another medal for the British Team today. David Florence won a silver medal in the Olympic men's slalom canoe. 4 medals in 4 days - not too bad I think

I absolutely love the Olympics and it's been on my TV all weekend. The British team are doing quite well considering we're only 3 days in. The swimmers this morning did brilliantly to come back the way they did on the last length Never sure why they include football and tennis in the Games though, especially since a) they already get loads of TV coverage; and the people that take part are the people that compete at professional level (Ronaldino, Federer and Nadal spring to mind) - I'd prefer it to be aimed at amateurs

I wouldn't mind signing up to the league - I already have a team on that site (My team is the PVC Assassins)

An Alien Quadrilogy event is the one I'd be most interested in by an absolute mile! There are loads of people you could get as guests too (even more if you include the AvP movies) and it would be great to mark the 30th anniversary of Alien. My second choice would be a Buffy con.

I may come along if the weather is good. That Wetherspoons pub is called 'Lord Moon of the Mall' but I think 'The Silver Cross' on the opposite side of the road is much better - I work on Whitehall so it's my weektime local! See you at the weekend (hopefully). My name is Gemma by the way

I may have to come and find the marines for a photo. I met skapunkninja once before and I know him and TonyRB from another forum, but I've never had a pic taken with the UKCM. This is a recent pic of me (I'm on the left); not the best picture in the world I know I'll be dressed as a regular person on Saturday and wearing a fetching Tinkerbell number on Sunday.

I keep looking too...here I am! I keep worrying about that too. But I'm sure it will be a great event whichever guests they get. It would be nice to see Burn there though.
