The thing with these circumstances is that we , as fans ,will probably never know the FULL story , only the parts that we have been told . As mentioned earlier , Chris has asked that anybody who has a " problem " or question can ask him in person , so maybe that is something youcould do . I have met Chris once and found him to be a friendly , open , and very funny guy - and I have to say he is at his best when Michael Shanks is around , what a pair ( it is obvious that they are great friends and are equally insane ) . I can also say that I am surprised that he is going to LFACC2 as I was at Glasgow when he told Bryan off for not inviting him to the other event . Whatever the reasons , and Chris has stated that it is SOLELY for personal reasons , I do feel that this whole thing has left a sour taste in my mouth - if only because it shows the nastiness between the two different Convention organisers . I also feel that all that has happened will come back to bite both organisers on the backside at some stage - I don't think that possible guests to either's events who may of heard about the proceedings can have complete faith now ( but this is just my opinion ) . I personally am not taking the side of either event , rather I will still be meeting Chris , and will treat him as I would wish to be treated , and take him as I find him - and I suggest that you do the same ( I think you will find him great ) .

I have played FFs , but am not quite sure which one you mean - but maybe I will recognise you as soon as I see you ? Maybe you could get a costume going from Resident Evil too, that would be a joy to see - my favourite game is Res Ev 2 , but I love them all

As for the suggestions for blocked entrances to the signing areas - that is a definate no-go to me . Firstly , some of these so-called general public see some of the guests and think that they would like a signed photo , and there is no way that SM would wish to lose even this minimum of customers . Secondly , I will never be able to afford autos from every guest and probably wouldn't buy them all even if I could , but that doesn't mean that I am not interested in seeing them - that is part of it to me ( as someone mentioned earlier ) it is not very often you get to see people like Carrie Fisher , or Robert Englund just sat there or wondering round the Mall . Maybe at the Costa end there should be this fence seperating the guest entrances frrom the walkway , but there will never be enough room there , even with them . C6 was unusual because , with the Star Wars reunion , there was about double the usual amount of guests , so it probably won't be quite as bad next time , and that probably made the whole thing seem less friendly this time . I mentioned on another thread that maybe the Steward in charge of the guest can ask him/her before the start of signing if he will allow unpaid photos in the quieter moments . This can then be posted on the board at the start of the queue , and then everybody knows beforehand - some guests would not allow this , but others would of been quite happy to , but SM made a blanket ban and took away the opportunity for a lot of people . I am sure the guests know that we do not have an endless supply of money , and some really do want a chance to meet their fans , and will happily pose for photos AS LONG AS THEY ARE NOT GETTING IN THE WAY OF PAYING CUSTOMERS . Maybe if everyone knows that you can only meet these people when there is an OPEN queue , there will be no misunderstanding and no sour grapes from people who can't get photos . I know that guests like Bob Anderson and Peter Mayhew would not allow photos without autos , but it would be entirely up to the guests . It would be impossible to cut down the number of stalls , as these help pay for CM in the first place , but there was a definate lack of room , especially on Saturday dinner , when the guests were having lunch . As for having all the guests down the side of John Lewis - this is a very cramped area with narrow walkways - I think that it is OK at the moment , but agree with having the busier ones down there , and also with keeping a theme to each side . I think that some of the photos were blurred , and had a bad cut , and I will never agree with having the SM website on the front - put it on the back , we know where we got them . I think that there is also room for authors , and would love to see people like Stephen King , Shaun Hutson , Iain Banks , and Clive Barker , but do not know if they would be better at C7 or at the LFACCs . I feel that the test-run with the wrestlers was a BIG PLUS for SM ( I am not interested , but there was an ongoing queue for both so good on SM ) , but would hope that these extra , not-quite actor people , were kept to people who actually deserve to be famous - not sat around in an house all days swearing and flirting like some have suggested . Keep up the MIX and I enjoyed the Star Wars theme of C6 , so maybe try this ( on a smaller scale ) with other shows as in the ALIENS one at LFACC2 .

Got to say that the only other guest I have really heard of besides Lance from AVP is Colin Salmon , who was in James Bond and Resident Evil . I still think we MAY have a little chance of getting Michael Biehn and Bill Paxton - never say never and all that Just realised that I said guest about Colin Salmon - and he is not down for LFACC2 ( yet ? ) , I actually meant actor in AVP . He has been confirmed for another event though , soon in London , so may do LFACC2

I love the new mini-series and I also remember the old stuff . I wouldn't mind meeting some of the cast - even Richard Hatch and Dirk Benedict have been in it even though they complained .

I think it would solve a lot if the person running the queue of each guest politely asked them beforehand what their thoughts were on photos without autographs WHEN THEY WERE QUIET , and then wrote it on the end of the queue where the numbers etc are . It was blatantly obvious that some of the guests at C6 would not allow photos without an autograph , but I believe that some would of been happy , but people couldn't get them because of this blanket ban . All of this would take about 30 seconds at the beginning of the day , but it would let all the fans know where there were and allow the guests who were happy for photos to have the potential of somebody in the queue every now and again rather than empty queues at the end . I understand that both the guest and SM have to make money , but it is insane to expect everybody to be able to afford an autograph for everybody at an event - there were almost 60 guests this time - especially when a lot of the fans are fairly young . I think you will find in the long run that it works in the favour of SM and the guests as word of mouth can kill or cure these events .

No , I didn't think he did events much at all , especially now he has cut back on work in general to spend more time with his little girl . I would love to meet him at some time , and am praying that he might come over at some time maybe as part of a family holiday - all mt photos and posters will be signed by the others and have something big missing

I also think that maybe people are saying what they want rather than what they truly EXPECT . And I agree that it is good that people want so much , but I can guarantee that there will be plenty of guests that do not live up to their expectations . If I put myself in the place of the guests , and I know that I would TRY to be someone who the fans would be happy to have met , I can not guarantee that I will be able to sit there and be " nice " to everybody that I meet , especially if I have sat there for 7 hours , hearing the same questions over and over , and also meeting some of the fans who have a total lack of respect , and more who think that the only reason I am famous is because they put me there - nothing to do with my fantastic acting and wonderful personality - and that I OWE them something and that I should act as though they are the most important person in the world . What I would LIKE from meeting these actors is acknowledgement that I am there to meet them , if I have a question I would like a reply , signing my item(s) , and then either thanks or bye after I have politely thanked them - I understand why the people who never even got acknowledgement are upset , I find that slightly rude . But what I EXPECT is them saying Hi , signing my item(s) and then them saying Bye - and if I get more , which I have to say normally happens when the actor is not too busy , then that is great . Everyone seems to be answering your poll with what they WANT though ( ? ) . I don't know if , on reading that we only expect an autograph , the guests would then think there is no reason to give us more , but , by the answers , they might now think we expect a LOT more .
