Showmasters are saying that it is. Things could change depending on what the government do at the end of the month, but assuming things go as have been announced then there’s a good chance it will. Unfortunately it’s hard right now to know exactly what will happen.

Refund Vouchers, how do we use them?

Without any mods around these days, you might be better off trying to ask SM via social media if you can. -

Can’t purchase Robert Englund photo shoot tickets?
Wrong Name replied to Clyde's topic in London Film & Comic Con 2021
For some reason, his are on the pre-sales site... https://www.showmasterssales.com/collections/lfcc2021-pre-orders -
As they bought tickets for last year, the con HAS been postponed, so they should be entitled to a refund.

I’m afraid ‘new-normal’ is likely to be around in some capacity for a while. Look at history and how previous pandemics and life changing events have effected society long after they were over. This is just something we will have to accept and live with I’m afraid.

This is a decision made by the government. Showmasters aren’t going to spend money on it if they don’t have to. I’m not 100% sure what method of proof the government will require for these tests but if it’s something on the app, then I would strongly advise everyone gets it if they want to get in an event like this. This is the 21st century after all!

No worries, it’s all very different right now. Just know that if everything goes to plan, all social distancing rules should be removed in June. With the way they are trialing these mass events next month, people need to take a Covid test just before attending, then it will go ahead as normal. Only you can decide if you want to attend though.

As has been said many times before in other threads on here, if the government decides that events like this can go ahead, then it will. Like many other companies in the world, SM have suffered this year with not being able to hold their shows. Insurance companies will not pay out if they decide to cancel off their own back, so they would lose even more money. If you don’t feel safe going to a con this year, that’s fine, don’t go. Trust me when I say that there are many people out there looking forward to just being able to get out there and do things again though!

The government are setting up trials for mass events of this type, so we’ll have to wait and see how they go.
-
I thought this as well, but they have previously stated that if people who bought tickets to the 2020 events want a refund, they can get it after the 2021 event, as long as they don’t use the tickets.

Although they have a “Buy Now” button on the website, when you go through to Eventbrite, there aren’t actually any autos available to buy, just photos and diamond passes (and entry and talks). As it’s a new website my guess (and it is just my guess) is that they still have a few things to iron out and that button shouldn’t be there on the auto section.

Usually, all the guests at LFCC are available on the Showmasters Sales site.

It’s not quite as easy as that though. If the government say it is possible for the event to go ahead, then they will do it. If for nothing else than because of insurance purposes. Insurance companies won’t cover them if they just decide to leave it another year when the government say it can happen. Unless the dates are moved back by the government, which is very possible, then there’s a good chance this event will happen. Bear in mind that the government have claimed at present, that ALL restrictions will be gone by the end of June. They haven’t mentioned international travel, but things like face masks and social distancing are included in that if things go to plan.

Yup. And all the food is plastic etc. It was cool to see all the fake set extensions and behind the scenes etc. A lot of mirrors used to make the place look bigger than it is. Here’s a couple of pics I took.

It basically felt like it. It was part of the tour I went on at Universal Studios in Hollywood a couple of years ago. I wasn’t massively impressed as it did just feel like being in a supermarket. But I guess that’s what they were going for!

I’ve been on the set of that.

Pretty sure @Raylenth has a photo like that.

Seeing as they famously hate each other, not sure them coming together would be a good idea! And if they didd I wouldn't expect a joint shoot or anything.

I don't think anyone from SM is particularly reading anything on here since the mods all left.
