There were a couple of dudes wearing lanyards toting some serious kit whilst I was taking photos for the UK Garrison. I'm assuming they were making some sort of video feature for Showmasters, or they were just really adept at getting in the way Either way, I managed to get into the masquerade and snap off a few shots of most of the entrants (except a couple who ran on and off stage in such a hurry all I could manage was a blur) Link to the gallery on facebook HERE

Just had a quick check of our sign in sheet and yes we'll have a Vader there on both days. He does however require lunch & helmet off breaks so he won't be on the floor at all hours of the day, just most of them.

Do we know how firm these dates are considering the clash that occurred this year?

China Buffet King is usually a safe bet mate :) After that, the world of Sauchiehall Street is your Oyster I suppose. We'll probably come to some sort of agreement during the course of Saturday whilst milling around in costume.

This is my face, there are many others like it, but this one is mine... I'm Neil, I'll no doubt be walking around with a camera attached to my face for most of the weekend and please don't run away if I ask to take a picture :)

There's a good few of the UK Garrison types pitched up at the Travelodge over the weekend. Friday night is probably going to be spent in the local Weatherspoons beside the Xscape.

I can confirm at the moment of writing that the Scottish Predator from the UK Garrison is going to be there over the weekend. So he'll be there to scare the bejesus out of innocent passers by.

There's a very real chance I'll be wearing this in August. (I wore it briefly last year just to try out the costume, but now it fits and I've redone the shoulder armour.)

Not sure if anyone caught a fleeting glimpse of my Ring Wraith on Saturday (managed to slip into it for around 45 minutes whilst on my lunch break) I might be able to do that again, possibly even with a rather large sword, though that's obviously a safety/security issue.

I'd be interested to hear what your issues were with the TL Vic. For the money we paid I thought it was a very basic room, no air con, cramped bathroom, beds a bit iffy, very few power points, one plastic chair, no free interwebs. Plus I had the annoyance of having to get my room key reset each afternoon.

Vic, amongst the hotel facilities listed there is a bar/cafe. If that goes awry, there's always the room party with bottles from one of the many purveyors of beverages available within Braehead itself.

I'm almost certain this is where Rod & myself will be staying. If it is, I'll be all too keen to meet up with all you guys for a bev or three. We're camping out there Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
