What is your favourite track off the album/s? Or in a certain part of the movie? Do you ever get shivers down your spine listening to the soprano boys?

Oh GOD that music made the movie man!  I have the TTT soundtrack and some of my most favorite parts are the Hobbits music and the strings.

The Choir Boys always give me shivers.  Hell I'm gonna go listen to it right now :P .

Howard Shore should win another Oscar for the wonderful job he did.

Cheers!

That bit of music at the end FOTR, when Frodo is crying, I love that, my favourite one though is the FOTR, I just love the way fellowship theme builds up, then as the fellowship breaks the theme sort of goes into the background!!!!!!!!

I would so love to meet that gut though!!!!!!!!!!!

yep.. the breaking of the fellowship track has to be the best by far... it has sooo many elements all rolled into one!! it has the hobbit theme and then the dramatic danger bits!! but mostly.. it just made me cry!!! a very emotive piece!!

I LOVE the music for Concerning Hobbits - its so peaceful!  Really hobbit-like!
I always knew Viggo had good taste, you know.  Never go for the kind of dark brown dark beard you know, but strawberry blonde is something that really brings out her skin texture. ~Dom on Viggo's bearded lady love

She's a woman, so I get that out of her, but she's also bearded which means I can kind of... I can get a different kind of spin on things.  And you know, thats fine.  Viggo's an artist and he can do whatever he wants.  It's not really going to float my boat, but I'm not going to say anything against it.  You just keep on trucking Viggo. ~ More Dom on Viggo's bearded lady love

I mean... one could but perhaps shouldn't delve into a few of his... stranger episodes.  But I'll save that.  ~Viggo's attempt at revenge for bearded lady love.

Thats great.  He's gonna kick the f...k out of me for that one. ~Dom reflecting on telling of bearded lady love.

I love that both albums so far manage to 'encapsulate' the movies and bring back the scenes to the mind. From Hobbiton, to Gandalf's fall, Lothlorien, Boromir's death, the Rohirrim, the Last March of the Ents, Sam's hopeless speech ... Those are my favourite bits that stick out the most, but I love it all!

The ROTK trailer track sounds WONDERFUL also!

Oh Yes, that part at the end where Elijah/Frodo is remembering what Gandalf said, "We wish things would never happen, but that's not for us to decide.  We need to decide what to do with the time that is given to us."  Or something along those line...Frodo/Elijah is crying and I cry every single time.  Then when Sam says, "I made a Promise Mr. Frodo, a Promise.  "Don't you leave him Samwise Gamgee" And I don't mean to, I don't mean to."

Oh *Tear* what a wonderful scene.

Anywayz, that should go into a "What's your favorite scene" thread.

Both soundtracks are amazing!!!  I own both.  I can't wait to hear the soundtrack for "Return of the King".
"Here we go, best line in the whole movie." - Dom
("Buckberry ferry, follow me!")
"OH! That was magical." - Elijah
"Breathtaking." - Dom

(During "It comes in pints?" scene)
"Once again, I don't know what's happening here, but me and Billy look REALLY handsome!" - Dom
"Must be the digital grading." - Elijah
hahahahahahahahaha

I had never heard of Howard Shore until LOTR came out, when I first heard the music I thought it was very good but after hearing it a few times I realized that it was wonderful and added so much to the film.Of course I bought the CD and was captured by it totally, all the emotion of the films comes out more fully with the wonderful score. Then TTT CD came out and I listened entranced to it ,as to be expected Howard had done another great job on the score, seeing the film for the first time only confirmed this to me .Just listening to the music makes me weep because through it I can see the film in my minds eye.I look forward to hearing the music to ROTK as much as the film and I am sure that I will not be dissapointed.Thank you Howard Shore

Yep that is a class scene that is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You know just after the fellowship is formed at Rivendell and they set out to Mordor!!  (With me so far??)  They go over the top of a hill and there is like a big rock in the way, and all the actors are looking out at the scenery, but anyway yeah shut up, i was just kinda wondering what the hell were they looking at???????

Oh yes. Anyone listened to director's commentary on FOTR? Peter wanted Elijah to "truly scare them [the audience]". Well, he succeeded.

Guess what I'm listening to right now! Foundations of Stone on TTT soundtrack. The choir rocks.

Oh, we're onto Taming of Sméagol now. Don't you think the hobbit theme opens so beautifully? It's hobbity, and yet mutated into this sad score. It's only a couple of seconds long, but it says so much about Sam and Frodo and their journey.

I love these songs too much.

And then I hear that Howard Shore will be conducting the score in London at some point! http://www.musicfrom...icle.asp?ID=152 for more information on where he will be performing! Six places in the world, wooot!
