Michael Gambon plays Dumbledore in HP3. 10 years Richard Harris' junior, but Irish to boot. Hehe. What I want to know is, what happened to the looooooooong beard? Apparently Richard Harris used to get very ... tetchy, because he had to have his beard tied back at mealtimes. The trailer reveals to me a disturbing lack of beard. ~fadagaski~

At C4, I didn't know what Sean Astin meant when he mentioned the 'Bit Of Earth' organisation, but I have since learnt. What's more, I have learnt the organisers are money-grabbing cheats. On the Writers' Commentary on TTT Peter, Phillippa and Fran were semi-joking about doing an extended cut of the three movies in the style of The Godfather series sometime in the future, for a special anniversary or something. I know how you feel. There I was, turned up at 3PM so I wasn't expecting to see anyone and I did. Yet next to me were people who had been there from 9AM. Not as bad as you, but still. That's terrible. And you'd think more of the British cast would turn up for their own damn premiere. Thank the Gods for Andy, Ian, Ian, Billy, Bernard and Dom, eh? I mean, if Karl could fly over from Oz! And Liv and Viggo from the US! *sigh* ~fadagaski~

According to someone who heard it from someone else who heard it on an interview with Ian McKellen, they're really going to make a movie version of The Hobbit for 2005. Apparently. And this isn't taken from that Steve Latham trailer that was going around - that was 2006 (trust me, I have it on my hard drive). What do you all say to that? Wouldn't it be better as a series of made-for-tv movies? ~fadagaski~
