It's a Virtual Ticket - it's a way of making it easier for us to get the auto's. What you do is go to the table where the guest you want to see will be seated and at the start of the queue a Showmasters crew member will be giving out the VQ tickets. Collect one (You can only get one per person, if you have others with you that want an auto they will have to gt their own VQ ticket, you can't collect multiple ones for all your friends) and it will have the date, the guests name and a number on it. When signing starts we will be called up in batch numbers, (there is usually a white board at the start of the line displaying what numbers have been called, so just wander back occasionally to check what numbers they have called up to) VQ ticket numbers 1-30, them 1 - 50, then 1 - 80 for example. You can then join the queue at any point AFTER your number batch has been called.

It's a good system and works well. It does mean that you have to collect a VQ ticket for all the guests you want to see (Although the quieter guests may not have them in which case you can just join the back of the line) but without it you would have to join a line and queue until you had got your auto and repeat with each guest, which would mean you might spend hours just queueing. With this system you have a virtual place in the queue and can go off and do other things - shopping, photo's, talks ect. Note though that having a VQ ticket does not guaruntee you an auto. Some guests might be slow signers and not get through hundreds of people or have to leave early for example. The VQ ticket only gets you a place in the queue.

ah okay, virtual ticket ;) if you have no idea what VQ means, it can mean everything :)

but with a golden ticket, there is another system, what I read

VQ is kind of the official abbreviation for Virtual Tickets on the forum.

And yes, with a Gold Pass you do not require Virtual Tickets.
