fanggirl
Ha! I struggled to get a nice grey one that would fit me. Really wanted the marbled grey cap... Had to change to the opposite side when I spotted the navy one instead!
Mrs Jacob Black
Yeah I struggled to find a grey jacket too, luckily I managed to find one in the New Look sale a couple of weeks ago and im gonna modify it, adding buttons and stuff to it cos its just grey and very plain right now. If I hadn't found the jacket, I got a grey cardi a couple weeks before that I was going to use, lol

Miss Ragamuffin
I've just emailed the seller about this one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...e=STRK:MEWAX:IT its cute and really cheap but I dont want to wait for the bid to end and it not get here on time so i asked if they will post it straight away! this one end just before it so again might have the same problem http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...e=STRK:MEWAX:IT then theres this one that is buy now but I think its a bit dull if you know what I mean?! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/one-great-black-draw...=item2a0412a0f2 actually I'm confused?! it says 21 cm wide, 22cm high (without handles) and 6cm deep isnt the depth and height the same thing?! I love this one but not sure if it'll go with my dress as i'm wearing all black with a white parasol?! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/STYLISH-SILKY-VELVET...=item27af13ae23 then I like this one its so cute but again will it go with my dress? also 6cm's deep what will fit in that?! haha http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Black-Gold-Sequin-Dr...251841502019807 although I'm now a little confused! it says 21 cm wide, 22cm high (without handles) and 6cm deep but isnt the depth and height the same thing?! reneeadamson09
Well the first 2 would be ace if you could get them early. And I think the last one would go with your dress, it's black and looks silky plus it's a buy it now. I guess that doesn't help. Lol shoot, what jewlerry are you gonna wear?? Miss Ragamuffin
I dunno I wanted to get some pearls (fake ones or something) would that be right?! hmmm I might just play safte and get the buy now one :-s
reneeadamson09
I was thinking pearls as well......... I have a necklase but not earrings. My ears react to cheap earings as well so I can't get the studs I've seen in primark!!!! Lol the bag that's buy it now, is it shipping from within the uk??
Miss Ragamuffin
yeah the buy now one is from the uk and says fast shipping so might just be the best bet. I have a cameo too they are pretty timeless arent they so could always wear that if I cant get anything else but I have seen loads of pearl ones like these for real cheap buy now http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/WHiTe-PeaRL-BeaD-NeC...=item3a4b309c1d http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Pearl-beaded-necklac...=item2a04a697d6 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/16-Single-Strand-Pea...=item3a5778c3af oh Renee hun I need your opinion on something for my newborn outfit can you get on facebook chat or something?! Miss Ragamuffin
cool thanks hun :-) Layers of Civil War Womens Clothing Here's a list of the Civil War womens clothing that they wore starting next to the skin and working out in layers: Layer 1 * Drawers (underpants) made of cotton or linen and trimmed with lace * Chemise (long undershirt) usually made of linen * Stockings held up with garters Layer 2 * Corset or stays stiffened with whale bone * Crinoline, hoop skirt, or 1 or 2 petticoats (dark color if traveling due to mud and dirt) Layer 3 * Petticoat bodice, corset cover, or camisole Layer 4 * Bodice * Skirt, often held up with "braces" (suspenders) * Belt * Slippers made of satin, velvet, done in knit, or crochet Layer 5 (outerwear for leaving the house) * Shawl, jacket, or mantle * Gloves or mitts * Button up boots * Parasol * Bonnet or hat * Bag or purse * Handkerchief * Fan sometimes made of sandalwood * Watch pocket oh I just found a website that had all this Victorian modesty dictated that ladies should wear gloves when going out. She must have nice clean gloves on for church or dancing. They were not worn at all times and removed for eating. Think of them as part of Civil War womens clothing outerwear or things put on when going visiting such as the shawl, cape, and bonnet. Crochet mitts were popular in the 1840s, so wearing them to an 1863 event is out of fashion. Perhaps someone old and clinging to her younger days would wear them, but white kid gloves extending to cover the wrist were the most popular and fashionable gloves.
