Mine's pre-ordered as well, No.4 on the list in HMV!!

As the games are region free, have already bought some from Ebay, and got a controller on it's way!!

Can't wait to play the games, and hopefully get my free copy of Casino Royale on Blu-Ray as well

Also the idea of being able to officially install Linux on the PS3 and be able to surf the web etc, also appeals to me!

Could then practically do away with my PC!!

I was thinking on getting some american games as well, but I wasnt 100% sure theyd be compatible. I know theres now different regions(just to confuse us more) for Blu Ray and PS3 can only play one of the regions, so for instance, we cant play imported american Blu Ray discs. So as games are on Blu Ray discs, I wasnt sure that theyd be playable

I know they are saying it has a universal power supply (especially seeing as ours was from the US)

but there's no way i'm testin that theory and blowin up over $1000 worth of equipment lol. :YAHOO:

That $1000 dollars by the way bought the System, and extra controller and 5 games. Machine itself was $599 which aint too bad i suppose .

Was told by the guys in the shop where we bought it that the games WEREN'T region free so doubtful as whetrher to buy any UK games for it. :YAHOO:

The console we have only came with 1 wireless controller, so you will definately need another one for 2 players games and I would recommend the 60Gb one  as the 20Gb cannot be added to.

I would recommend Ultimate Alliance and Blazing Angels. We've had many hours playing them both

We also have a boxing game which I cannot remember name but thats not fantastic. Call of Duty is good but was finished within a week.

Just to update on what Chris was saying about the 20GB model (if and when its released here) . Despite what you may be reading on Fourms etc about people 'upgrading' the 20GB. This is NOT possible.

I'd advise anyone not to try it either..as it can AND will invalidate any warranty you may have and may lead to the machine ceasing to work completely.

As for the Games we bought

Marvel Ultimate Alliance is a must..such an addictive game.

Blazing angels has superb graphica and realistic control if you choose to use the SIXAXIS motion.

Fight Night Round 3 is unbelievably crap and just rushed for the launch.

Call of Duty 3 - Simply astounding

Final Fantasy XII, im just starting so taking a while to get into as the battle controls are quite different from previous versions and taking quite a bit of getting used to.

Only thing dissapointing me is that the SIXAXIS controllers do not support the rumble feature of the Dual Shock 2.

GAME's guarantee is worth s**t to be honest.

I forked out the required deposit for a PSP the other year supposedly to "guarantee" a unit on release day. It never happened and after waiting 4 weeks i demanded my money back. Meanwhile people who pre-ordered well after me or just walked into the store got one straight away.

Don't worry. If you went and pre-ordered a PS3 in GAME today you would be guarenteed. SONY have a whopping 220,00 PS3's for the UK Launch (xbox 360 had 20,000)

Most stores have only around 50 pre-orders so far with stores getting around 80 consoles each and the larger stores like GAME on Oxford Street getting around 200
