  1. Inbetweener, Steviegr and I am sure there are countless others... lol with all these people who have crushes on members of the crew, I think Showmasters should branch out and start a dating agency Its one way to improve customer service LOL
  2. Some great points made there, it was a great event. I too loved all the stalls, and its great to hear all of the positive feedback for a lot of the guests ... And I am sure you made someone's day with that smoking hot remark!
  3. I met Linda Hamilton and she was lovely, amazing to talk to... and very touchy feely with everyone. I didnt really get to talk to her about any work she has done, but still one of the best guests I have ever met. Peter Kwong, what an amazing character. When we met him he was striking karate poses with some people and getting them to take pictures. He noticed the MMA fleece I had on (the symbol on the badge on the fleece was a man doing a high kick) and we started to talk about the different styles of Martial Arts we do, and within seconds he did the best splits I have ever seen! No stretching whatsoever, very impressive. Then we proceeded to pretend to kick each other, which was funny stuff. His kicks beat mine, hands down :) Two amazing guests, friendly and great fun. I am sure we have all met some not so nice people at these events but Linda Hamilton and Peter Kwong raised the bar to a whole new level :)
  4. In Brentwood Essex... Now who can we expect to see? Def not Nash, he is too lazy... Has to be Angle and Christian Cage, and another one of my faves, Abyss I hope... Would love to say Sting too, but nope
  5. I have recently returned from a trip to New York, where I was fortunate enough to meet Gail Kim, Christy Hemme, Dawn-Marie, Chyna and Tito Santana. I have to say that all five were great to talk to, and couldnt have been nicer. Gail Kim was lovely, and seemed really excited about the new womens division in TNA. I gave her a teddy bear (with an England shirt on it), which made her smile quite a bit until she stood up and threw her arms around me. Not joking, this made my weekend more than anything, it was worth the trip alone just to get a hug from Gail Kim lol. Christy was really nice, and was quite humble. She didnt believe that I came just to meet her and the other wrestling guests, and was great to talk to. Tito Santana was nice enough, I told him about my favourite Tito Santana match (vs Ric Flair, Battle Royal and the Royal Albert Hall, 1991) and he said his favourite match was when he won the intercontinental title. Dawn Marie was really nice, and when she found that I had travelled "from europe", she said that I deserved to see pictures of her son, so she went through her digital camera with me! She has blonde hair now and looked slightly bigger, although she is losing weight gained from giving birth. She is still as stunning as ever! She also said she wants to join TNA, and that the WWE sacked her for getting pregnant (which everyone knew anyway). She was great, and when she found out that I was from England she was asking so many questions, and seemed really interested in chatting to me. A class act all round. I also met a photographer for Powerslam, who told me about how they get all their information each month, which is interesting. Chyna, well she was really nice and is quite large in person, she wasnt wasted and told me that she knew absolutely nothing about returning to wresting (with TNA or WWE) and that no contact had been made at any time from anyone since she left the WWE. No DX reunion then lol.
  6. Thanks guys, I have been watching both WWE and TNA around a year behind on DVD, however by chance I saw TNA yesterday and thought it looked awesome, so might start watching every week. Although I thought there was a bit of an Angle overkill, seeing him carry 3 belts to the ring! what is the situation with the tag belts? TNA is awesome, at the moment I prefer it to WWE, purely on a wrestling front, as in the WWE wrestling is very much secondary to the McMahons being in their latest main event storyline. I think that TNA is exactly what the wrestling world needs, it would be awesome to get the Monday Night Wars going again, the wrestling fans would be winners all round...
  7. Just wondered, I love TNA and wondered when the most up to date shows are aired in the UK??? Saw it on Bravo yesterday afternoon, but it was cut... so what days are the new shows on each week???
  8. Ok, here is how you register: log on to http://fantasy.premierleague.com/index.html Click on "register" Enter your details - when it asks for your first name and surname on the register screen (not your username) its probably best to use your forum name(s) as we can probably identify each other easier that way From here, you will be asked to select the name you wish to call your team and how you would like your kit to look. After this, the fun starts as you can select your team. To join the league I have created, all you will need to do is click on "leagues" (on the right of your teampage) and then enter the code 22469-7174 to join the "Showmasters Elite" league I have set up. Anyone wishing for more information before they join can visit here http://fantasy.premierleague.com/M/help.mc?category=rules

DaveB, who have you been "jerking" off now then??? (Sorry I couldnt resist lol)
  10. A big Congratulations goes to Matty Temple, well done sir you seem to have won this years league so you can now add something along the lines of "Forum Fantasy Footie Champ" to your signature... or something along those lines... The News is not so good for Harri's Heroes, but I hope you all enjoyed playing this year... Lets see if we can get more forum members signed up for next year, I will definitely get a league set up for us all for next year... lets see who can take the crown next year!
  11. Well, I thought it was a good show, but some of the booking was entirely baffling to me. World Heavyweight Champion Batista vs. Undertaker Good enough match (as good as can be expected anyway!), although was it me or did the Undertaker seem disinterested??? WWE Champion John Cena vs. Shawn Michaels A good match, although HBK tapping out was an awful finish, this was just silly booking. Battle of the Billionaires Ok, the shenanigans outside the ring were hilarious - Umaga spitting on Vince (and Vince's reaction) during Lashley/Trumps Entrance, Trump clotheslining McMahon and the haircut were all brilliant. Money in the Bank Ladder Match Some decent stunts, but did anyone else think the exchanges were a little awkward? ECW Originals vs. New Breed Card Filler Women's Champion Melina vs. Ashley See above Kane vs. The Great Khali A decent effort, that powerslam was awesome too. United States Champion Chris Benoit vs. MVP One of the matches of the night for me!
  12. World Heavyweight Champion Batista vs. Undertaker I think the Undertaker will win here, for a number of reasons - The Wrestlemania win streak, It could be his last big run and Batista is hated backstage - the Undertaker will be reluctant to lose his streak for that reason alone. Also, fans would be outraged if the Undertaker lost his Wrestlemania winning Streak. WWE Champion John Cena vs. Shawn Michaels Cena all the way, with the Undertaker winning I dont think there will be two title changes. Also, I think a Cena win over someone like HBK an WM will elevate him to another level. Battle of the Billionaires Everyone knows Lashley will win, the real attraction is seeing Stone Cold Shave Vince's head. Money in the Bank Ladder Match Mr Kennedy - Edge has already won a MITB match and being an ex champ wouldnt really benefit from another MITB win. Same goes for Booker T, ex champ who wouldnt benefit from winning. Orton & CM Punk are in the dog house, and can anyone see Finlay or The Hardy's getting a title shot at a PPV? This match is all about elevation, and it is Mr Kennedy's turn this year. ECW Originals vs. New Breed In line with the "New ECW", the originals will fall in this one. Women's Champion Melina vs. Ashley Ashley to continue her playboy push. Kane vs. The Great Khali The Great Khali, although Flair & Carlito have been lobbying to get on the Wrestlemania card for some time. United States Champion Chris Benoit vs. MVP MVP. Add your predictions, we will see who will get the most!!!
  13. I have had an awesome day with mine, although I am absolutely gutted that they couldnt sort out Pro Evo soccer so that it can be played online through the PS3...
  14. I was thinking about this, over the years situations have arisen that have completely changed the face of wrestling and how we know it. I often wonder what will happen next that will change the face of Pro Wrestling??? As far as I can remember, the first situation was the steroid trial in 1994. When Hogan left the WWE in 1992, Vince pushed Bret Hart as the new face of the WWF and guys like Shawn Michaels and Yokozuna also got a chance. We then went through the "New Generation" era for a while, until that night in Montreal, 1997. With the Montreal incident, the new WWF "Attitude" era was in force, which saw so much smut and foul language on TV for quite some time. Steve Austin came to force, as did the Rock, HHH, and a new version of the Undertaker. With Bret Hart leaving, it was like open season on who could be the foulest on TV! Coinciding with the New "Attitude" Era, came the Monday night wars. Bischoff started a trend that still affects the WWE to this day - top stars squaring off on RAW/Smackdown. I am convinced that if Bischoff hadnt of started this trend we would have still been saying the likes of John Cena vs Mr Jobber as our main events. Now the fans are upset if they dont see two big stars in the main event, which is probably harming the product. Then came the summer of 1999, when Austin/Undertaker got injured and the WWE had to make new stars and fast - so up came HHH, The Rock, The Big Show and Mick Foley. Because of the shift in what fans wanted, the WWE had to change Austin's and the Undertakers gimmicks when they came back in 2000 (Austin showed his comedic side and the Undertaker had his biker gimmick) Finally, the last thing to change the face of wrestling was in 2001, when WCW and ECW folded. Vince then won everything, and now HHH runs the show! So what can happen next to change the face of wrestling? Without a HHH/Steph divorce or Vince wising up I think things are pretty much going to stay as they are!
  15. This one hurts a little bit more, I was a big fan of BBB, his character was awesome and he has provided some great memories. My fave was at Wrestlemania (I think it was either 4 or 2) when he did an angle with Bret Hart, great stuff!
  16. Just to update on what Chris was saying about the 20GB model (if and when its released here) . Despite what you may be reading on Fourms etc about people 'upgrading' the 20GB. This is NOT possible. I'd advise anyone not to try it either..as it can AND will invalidate any warranty you may have and may lead to the machine ceasing to work completely. As for the Games we bought Marvel Ultimate Alliance is a must..such an addictive game. Blazing angels has superb graphica and realistic control if you choose to use the SIXAXIS motion. Fight Night Round 3 is unbelievably crap and just rushed for the launch. Call of Duty 3 - Simply astounding Final Fantasy XII, im just starting so taking a while to get into as the battle controls are quite different from previous versions and taking quite a bit of getting used to. Only thing dissapointing me is that the SIXAXIS controllers do not support the rumble feature of the Dual Shock 2. Damn, I really wanted to get Fight Night, just to whoop some online backside!
  17. Former ECW world champion Mike Awesome, 42, has passed away. His real name was Mike Alfonso. According to reports, Awesome was found dead on Saturday morning in the Tampa Area. Friends were coming to his home in Tampa to pick him up and go out Saturday night at about 10:30 p.m. and he never answered the door and found him hanging in the home. It is believed the death was due to suicide pending results of the autopsy. In addition to working in the U.S., he also worked for FMW in Japan. He will probably be most remembered as the ECW champion that signed with WCW when he still held the title. Tazz was brought in by WWE to take the title from him, as he jumped to WCW. Awesome announced his retirement from wrestling in early 2006. For christ sake, another one has gone... its pretty darn horrible being a wrestling fan, you learn to love all the performers and they just keep dropping like flies... RIP Mike, thank you for the memories
  18. Has anyone got any idea of how much the controllers will cost???
  19. I got me a PS3 ordered today, roll on March 23rd!!! Cannot Wait! Is anyone else who has ordered one up for some online warfare??? lol
  20. Anyone know of any websites where I can get a Wii??? Been all over the place and have been told to wait until April!!! Dont particularly trust Ebay at the moment either...
  21. One of the ultimate worst gimmicks ever... RockaBilly!!! And I believe Goldust wore a nappy to the ring once or twice
  22. I loved his feud with Doink also Tazz, thought that their feuds was really entertaining, its yet another sad day for wrestling... Police are treating his place like a crime scene, so I am not sure it can be put down to the effects of wrestling just yet
  23. Kane covered up both arms when he fought Stone Cold in a first blood match, and stayed that way until they kept changing his attire... 3 people have played Kane, one permanently!
  24. I believe that three people have played Kane, with Glen Jacobs the original, and only permanent person to play Kane. The Undertaker dressed up as Kane a few years back on Raw, whereas you also had the imposter Kane a few weeks back.
  25. A piece of classic WCW history for you all... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z7HLCrp1tk4
