Eogwyn Posted October 7, 2003 Share Posted October 7, 2003 I'm slowly getting over my disappointment at not seeing any of the hobbits and so I've penned this really awful poem in an attempt to give everyone a laugh! Milton Keynes is the place to go, Why is that, you want to know. New Zealand’s great, but the UK’s rainier, Cuz at least we have Collectormania. So if you’re a fan of Lord of the Rings, You’ll see hobbits and orcs, but sadly no kings. You might have to wait for hours and hours, To see a few actors from the Two Towers. Meet Gollum and Merry, Frodo and Sam? Pah! All we did was eat sour grapes and ham! Too many people turned up that day, Oh, how I wish they’d all gone away! I know I can watch the actors on screen, But missing them really was too mean. Return of the King will be out soon, Perhaps they’ll be back – I hope by June. But it passes the time from now to December, To sit here and sigh and gladly remember, That wonderful time early last May, When WE were the ones in the queue for a day. So now, here ends my story, Of Milton Keynes and reflected glory! There, you're either laughing hysterically or slitting your wrists in sheer agony!
