Magenta_Jan
I love seening him on TV, he's such a great personality. I really hope he gets better soon and feels able to rejoin the Top Gear guys. The show just won't be the smae without him, the chemistry between him, Jeremy & James is so strong. A007
According to Clarkson he's taken a few steps on his own, so it looks like he's on the mend!

skybear
Not really into cars, but i love Top Gear. I hope "Hammond" pulls through, apparently he is now stable. Yeh I heard this.... Its great news for his wife Amanda.. However I do think we need to think, he was taken for treatment of possible brain damage, so he may not be in the clear yet.. Also he may not come back to Top Gear, hes had crashes before, but something like that could really shake him up (even if he makes a full recovery). When I say this next part it is by no ways a replacement question, but obviously he will not be in this next series of Top Gear, which also means Top Gear Dog wont be so who will they get to come in and present with them... any ideas? maybe the German woman who did Nurbergring in a van? Will they show the footage on Top Gear? and why was he still racing, they were trying to break the landspeed record, but why was he still racing, they thought he had already done it earlier than day.. A Making good progress as he is now in a normal ward. Top Gear is to be 'posponed indefinatly' But looks like it WILL be shown sometime, probably after he is better. As to the land speed record, he had to do two runs one in each direction for it to count. Some records such as dragster ones need only be done once and in one direction. Magenta_Jan
He wasn't actually trying to break the UK land speed record, they were just doing a segment on the car and trying to get the fastest presenter speed. Apparently the reason he kept going again was because he was loving the speed and was wanting to getter better and better shots for the show. Ever the presenter I guess... Lucienight
Richard has been moved to a hospital in Bristol today (near me!) so that he is closer to his home. Thats good news as he must be doing well for them to allow him to move hospitals.
Alx
Richard has been moved to a hospital in Bristol today (near me!) so that he is closer to his home. Thats good news as he must be doing well for them to allow him to move hospitals. Im just waiting for him to move back to his local hospitaly, as I live literally 1/4 mile from there.. Tho I doubt that will be anytime in the next 2/3 weeks as there are some big events going on here. A

Its good that he has recovered quite well thus far. I hope that he makes a full recovery and is back on our screens months from now.
