Giggle
I see the C8 website has been updated (glad to see Tricia Helfer is there.) The party page is still the C7 one though. Will there be a party at C8? Now that Common Rotation have announced a few UK gigs the weekend after, I hope that means they'll be entertaining us at the party and the event. Giggle
It'd still be nice to know if there were plans for one. Edited May 20, 2005 by Giggle

sarahoneill
would be good to see Tricia as a pinned announcement incase people didn't go to c7 or don't know about her if SM do a party again I hope it's more like c6 than c7! it was the same price for no band and no costume comp and no food!!! so at times it seemed we would have been better off all meeting up in a pub or something than spend £15 to have drinks and socalise.... and the DJ was CRAP! (sorry! ) (before I get poked for saying pub when I know people are under 18, I meant it purely in a way that the party just seemed to be of people drinking and socialising - once the rain started - and that we cudda done that for free else where ) just feel we didn't get much for our £15 worth, spesh as the cost of the drinks

But overall you don't get much for your £15. It's a glorified disco really, isn't it?
Evie_Nitram
I agree... I'd have liked to see a bit more varied entertain (especially music wise, and that really was s***...) I still really enjoyed the party... I could probably have survived longer at C7 Party if I hadn't been awake for 30hours... stone sober... etc... I did crash my car TWICE on the way to the hotel just due to tiredness... I'm staying in the travelodge next time...
Legolassie Malfoy
There better be a party. We have a whole group planning to do pirate costumes. Please get a better DJ. The last one didn't play many of the convetion classics and tended to play songs in groups rather than mix them up.

sarahoneill
tbh, one of the reasons we left around midnight was BECAUSE of the DJ! he seemed to only play music (after a few dance tracks) that might fall into the goth/alternative/metal catergory plus it's too loud!! now I'm not an "oldie" but I want to actually hear my friends speak when we are catching up!! smile
im so glad other people disliked the party, all i heard was praise and i thought everyone was mad, too loud, overpriced, terrible music and hate to say it but over 18s would have been in its favour! kerry x

I thought there was nothing wrong with the DJ... If you're not happy with the music being played you could've gone up to him to request something else - there was a request sheet there
wiccawise21
i really enjoyed the party. the bouncy castle was such a nice touch. im just a big kid!! i think i would have liked some kind of band though. live music is always so much more.... atmospheric. still... i hope there is another one at C8 =x=
Cazzie15
there better be a party its the main reason i go - and id prefer not to have a band - last time it was a bit sdull upstairs, the band were good but it wasnt really party music to get u on a high. the dj this time i prefered but id have liked less heavy rock music and more dance/rnb/pop music with soem rock here and there
rainbowsparkle
LOL I kept waiting for Abba.... As evidence of my sad taste in music, I thought Whigfield was the best track he played all night s'true...
sarahoneill
you can't always request songs from the DJ - imagine if everyone wanted a fave song, no way would they all get played cause of time! also don't they have like a play list? plus there are some songs that just never get played, like Baywatch (yes I have heard this in a club before and have requested it - you should have seen the look the guy gave me ) the bouncy castle was fantastic! until it started raining also not every one came dressed for bouncing! He didn't play anything we requested. I didn't mind the music. I think it would of worked better if he mixed it up abit rather than plying it in blocks.
