Butterscotch
Well done Fiondra, indeed the answer to No. 1 is correct. Is anyone going to try and answer question 3 which is the last to be answered? It doesn't really matter if you don't know french, 'cause the answer to the french part is in the question, disguised. For the rest, think of a word for an item that is not solidly a precious metal but only has a thin coating of that precious metal - what is that process called. Butterscotch
Hi wiccawise 21 - glad you still pop in to view - I'll try and pick some easier ones this time. Crusty, as usual you are brillient and have them all right. Sorry I couldn't get back sooner - believe it or not, I don't own a computer - I use the one at work. It's not quiet these days, so I'm doing this in my lunch hour. It's shift work and after a Night shift, I've just had four days off and today it's back to the grindstone and short staffed.. but I couldn't forget you and have come to give you the next five questions at the earliest opportunity. Here they are. 1] Sounds like a soft french cheese to me (L.4) 2] Goliath's enemy and U.N.C.L.E.'s boss, sailing close to the wind (A.5+10) 3] The war grew and a great beast was found within (C.4) 4] Support your girth clincher, Madam. Enjoy.

Butterscotch
Hi Crusty - as usual, brillient. I was at LFCC as well. Had a great time and hardly missed he who didn't show. Loved all the talks which gave me the opportunity to sit my sorry ass down and have a laugh - especially with the likes of Billy Boyd - went to both of his talks + 24, Star Trek, Ron Pearlman and John Barrowman talks. All v enjoyable. I have a clue for you for question No. 1 - the location is in Mordor Must go now - back to work. Hope to hear from you soon. Butterscotch
Hi crusty all correct of course - you're just too good for a simple thread like this and you must be very knowledgeable on all things LOTR. Hi wiccawise21 - don't worry, you will have two weeks to try and sort these out 'cause I am away to la belle France for some holiday time with a long standing friend of mine who is French and lives just south of Paris and has a chalet in a holiday camp 30 minutes drive from his home where I will take some sun and relaxation and will celebrate my birthday with his son as we are on consecutive days. I'm sure, like the last five crusty, you will have them all correct and waiting for my return unless wiccawise or someone else gets there before you To make it more interesting, I leave you with 10 questions instead of the usual 5. 1] Fallen soldier's sibling likes rum twist - not Kes though. (C.5) 2] How Joe handles a turn on the guitar, wipes Slade out, what an artist! (S.4+4) 3] Score an "E" and hire a wig for Gandolf's flight to Rohan. (C.7) 4] the Duo at the Mill Inn enjoy the capital's turns. (L.10) 5] Has she a Dior Ottaman box in her chamber? Confused? she is. (A.7+4) 6] Cavelryman R.Kram, dried himself, in his turn, after the long ride (C's.10) 7] French boredom and shortened mother turns that muddled Hobbiton bounder around. (A.3+4) 8] Could it be Bambi's mother with a fishing implement, roving in Ithilien? (C.6) 9] The clan beat T.C. in the Golden Wood, what a turn around! (A.4+9) 10] A shaken gin Sling ends Christian Passover very nicely. (C's.11) Don't work too hard. I shall look forward to hearing from you and will be back on line on my return to work on Saturday 16th. Bye for now.
