i read loads of fanfic LOTR, HP, Buffy, Angel

There are a lot of rubbish fics out there but there's a select few that are so fantastic they make trawling through the rest worthwhile lmao

I actually do read and enjoy slash fiction, although so often so little of it is well-written - and don't get me started on mpreg stories, where Aragorn gets Legolas pregnant, for example. *shudders* :D:o:blink::angry::wacko::D And I can't help but agree with Mori re M*ry S**s!

i must admit reading slash in the uni library isnt always a good idea. never know who is reading over your shoulder. but i save them to disk and read that on my laptop!! teehee!!

once, me and a few others had a Mary Sue BBQ.

MS, they taste so nice, but too much is rather sickly.

I moderate at a Fan Fiction Forum so I find myself reading quite a lot of FanFiction.

Some of it can be crap...but there are some talented writers out there.

there are some good ones on Fanfiction.net which is where most of them go anyway.

they are hard to come by though, once you sift through all the crap that is Mary Suedom

okaaay...

i thoughjt i read quite a lot of fanfiction and new most of the terms but...

mary sue??

*is confuddled*

=x=

ok, a 'Mary Sue' is a character that can do no wrong, usually ends up in the arms of Legolas or Aragorn or Eomer (once even all of them put together and Gandalf after).

They are usually very beautiful, balh blah blagh and if they die the whole world mourns them

Hi There

If you would like to read some really good LOTR's Fan Fiction, which isn't slash, (not allowed) then I'd recommend this website.... www.storiesofarda.com

They have stories for every LOTR's character you can think of!!!...

If you are a Merry or Pippin lover then I'd like to recommend a story called " Fate and the High Kings Falcon" by an author called Baylor.....It's a wonderful story about what could have happened to Pippin after the Troll crushed him at the Battle of the Black Gates.. (how close he came to dying and how he coped with all the pain from his injuries etc)...All of the fellowship are in it, but the main characters are Pippin and (of course) Merry.....There is a beautiful poem towards the end of this story (written by another author called Llinos) called "The Lay of Peregrin Took" which (in the story is written by Legolas for Pippin) had me in tears!!!...This story has won quite a few awards from it's peers too!!....In fact I'm re-reading it myself at this time!!... They also have some lovely Frodo and Sam stories too!!...
