  1. I'll give you a vote. I'd like to find out how she likes doing Law & Order.
  2. Since he'll be at the Hub 6 the previous week.... James Marsters! And Juliet Landau or Gareth David Lloyd and group photos with them, please!
  3. Anyone who wanted James Marsters on his/her want list, should stop hoping. He's doing a con in Phoenix in the USA that weekend.
  4. Please Log In to FaceBook first. I've got most of my James Photo-ops on my FaceBook Page. This should give you some ideas!
  5. I have a question as to why Showmasters doesn't allow this? Why can't the guest just give it back to you, and then you re-sell it? Then you'd know who won't be there, and that the slot would be filled. Same thing with upgrades. True, you'd have to keep a "waiting list," but that shouldn't be too much extra effort. If there is a concern of scalipng, that solution is simple; you'd only allowed to buy up to X spaces.
  6. I think having James do something like that is kind of tacky. In the USA there's the old analogy of like hosting a party and bringing out the slides of your recent vacation and forcing the guests to watch. If James were to hang out at the party, which I kind of doubt, I'd just let him have a good time, rather than being forced to perform.
  7. Something I thought of... At US conventions, I've noticed that the photographers develop the photos themselves, and do not use an outside service for printing. Maybe that's why it's so common over here.
  8. I think the reason people keep asking about second copies/JPegs is because it's basically standard practice in the USA to offer said service. Also bear in mind that in the USA, prices are higher, so the volume for the photographer is lower, so s/he has more time to said service. OOC, why are photos overseas 6" X 9"?
  9. This is just for my curiosity, and is not associated with ShowMasters/Massive Events in any way!
  10. I was at the events this weekend. Union Chapel was AWESOME (got a second row seat). The MarstersClass was a riot. James & Gareth doing scenes from Buffy & Torchwood wrong was hysterical! The concert that evening was great. I got one of the picks James threw into the audience. The 100 Club gig was AWESOME and I got him to play "No Promises!" Stephen
  11. I saw your Twitter postings. How's the fair going? Just found out, work won't give me the weekend off!
  12. I'll be in London (4th time to the UK) next weekend (next weekend ALREADY!?!) for James' events. I'm from the US also. Talked to work, they're not sure if I can have Halloween weekend off yet. Stephen
  13. Re: James Marsters James HAS a girlfriend, and they have been together for 5 years. People I've met: Toronto 2005: James Marsters, Kevin Sorbo, Margot Kidder Long Beach 2006: Tony Todd, Steve DeKnight, Jane Espenson, Mercedes McNab, David Fury Burbank 2007: Too many to list (Gold Pass Holder, got to meet everyone!) CollectorMania's: See my signature Atlanta 2007: Juliet Landau, Elisabeth Rohm Erie 2008: Adrienne Barbeau Cardiff 2007: Catherine Tregenna, Gareth David-Lloyd Burbank 2008: Richard Keil, Roxann Dawson, Brent Spiner Atlanta 2008: Linda Blair, Jeremy Bulloch, Brad Dourif
  14. I'll be at the Day event and his 2 other concerts! This will be my fourth time to the UK all because of James. You guys have an AWESOME country. James usually doesn't stick around for autographs anymore after his concert, but if they allow it, I might get whatever you wanted signed for you. Will know next week if I'll be at Hallowhedon, Stephen
  15. The last convention James did in the UK was in York in 2004. Still deciding, Stephen
  16. If there's a big group talk, how about the Pivot questionnaire? Least/Favourite Word; Least/Favourite Sound; Turn-ons/-offs; Favourite curse word; Professions to/not try; God's first words in heaven. Still thinking whether or not to go, Stephen from the US
  17. Scratch James Marsters off your list, he's doing Fangoria in NYC that weekend.
  18. Well, those who wanted James Marsters on their wish lists should remove them. He's doing Fangoria in NYC that weekend. http://www.jamesmarsters.com
  19. At a previous TW convention we went to they raffled the tickets but the winners still had to pay a fixed price (I think it was 20 or 25 pounds). So basically you were entering a draw just for the opportunity to pay for an encounter. You could always do it what we call in the States a Chinese Auction style. You only put in your ticket for the appropriate person's/persons' container/box/etc. IMO I don't like intimate encounters. I find them exclusionary. Also I prefer a smaller intimate setting (maximum of 5 guests, 150 house attendance), than dividing into Gold/Standard/etc. I don't like it when everyone is not given the same opportunities. Re the Party - I went to a private dinner with James Marsters & Gareth David-Lloyd in August and JMLive's system worked the best - You sat at a table of 11 (10 seats for attendees, 1 for the guest), and the guests rotated around while you kept your seat. You could take photos at this time of your table (or if in certain locations, you could snag pictures of 1 table over), but this system worked really well and eased up congestion issues. Stephen
  20. I voted for James (I know I've met him before, but he's a nice guy), Juliet (I know I've met her before, but she's really nice), and George (boy is he tall!). Stephen
  21. Personally, I don't have an issue with taking photos "in vivo," but please don't use flash as common courtesy, and please be aware of everyone else in line (i. e. no pushing, holding up the line, etc.). Stephen
  22. Re: James Marsters Photo tickets: I usually get at least three, because as luck would have it, only one will turn out decent enough. I went to an earlier show of his and only got 1 photo and it's not one I show because it's not very good. But that's mainly the reason I do it. Law of averages aside, I should get 1 decent photo. Stephen PS: The most I heard from one person was 22 at CM 11!
  23. 9 hours outside the Centre to be first to see James Marsters last year at CM11. I didn't have a hotel room for Friday. Stephen
