  1. What a bizarre question. Actor or actor and then character, but never just character.
  2. See, in the cut and thrust of an event, you can so easily lose track of time, forget that you wanted to see a particular talk, needed to get a photoshoot / VQT ticket for someone etc, and a free, unlimited resource like Twitter can (if they want it to) be bouncing into people's mobile's all day long, helping attendees not miss things (and in the process spend money). I take your point that it can get irrelevant or annoying for someone sat at home with only a passing interest, but what would you rather have ? "Bl8dy SM twitter feed was driving me mad all afternoon, I had to un-follow" or "thank god SM are on twitter - I nearly forgot all about Clancy Brown's photoshoot". Not sure people would drop out of attending mid-journey there though, just because they saw on twitter that a guest was up to a high VQT number.
  3. Interesting and informative - and no doubt helpful. But has potential to be more so. Wider selection of guests need referred to (VQT numbers, talk starting soon, photo session nearly over etc). One big(ish) criticism thought - FAR too many "SM you are brilliant" retweets in the evenings. RT actual info like opinions, breaking news etc, but I don't follow SM (or anyone on Twitter) to hear others tell me how great they are. I can use hashtags if I want to read that stuff.
  4. I've only seen a few Karen ones, but I'm quite disappointed. Much too close up, and it just looked like a backdrop than an actual three dimensional replica. I know you don't want it taken from miles away, but something at around waist height would have looked much better IMO, maybe with the tardis at a slight angle, showing it off properly.
  5. Very much so, Mr Colourful Diagram It's a bit like two people can be in a photo with the guest, but they need to both pay and get a copy each. Or having to leave the talk area after one talk, to join the back of the queue to come straight back in. It's not ideal or absolutely perfect, but neither is any other way of doing it. Now can people stop hijacking this thread to discuss Karen's own queue ?
  6. Guys can we maybe post more pics and less links ? I can't be ar*ed clicking on a link for every pic, especially when the URL doesn't make it obvious if I'd be interested or not. If it's on facebook, fair enough, but if you have them on Imageshack, photobucket etc, it's exactly the same process to post the link as to post the actual pic, and the result makes the thread much less of a chore. Let the flaming begin. May I ask what exactly you did expect from the shoot? The Tardis in the picture in full size? That would have quite distracted from you and Amy in front of it. The photos I've seen show pretty much what I personally expected, part of the Tardis in the background. TBH I'd be gutted if I spent £35 on one. I have a large TARDIS poster (size and shape of a door) and it looks like THAT is in the background. Being able to see that it was an actual three dimensional, wooden TARDIS replica would have been much better - as would a wider shot, say from the waist up. Just constructive criticism and personal opinion.
  7. I'm guessing from the OP, someone came at him with a knife ? Possibly in fun, but it wasn't taken as such ....
  8. Then she hasn't cancelled. What makes you think she has ?
  9. YOu say that as if wanting to sell it on is a bad thing - it's not. And the OP is entitled to want this, regardless of the reason.
  10. I still think it would be grossly unfair to give preferential treatment to either gate. It's not like nipping round the other side of the MK stadium, you are asking people to walk the (strange) streets of London at 5 and 6am to ultimately arrive at the same place.
  11. 1. Inception 2. Alien Resurrection 3. Thelma and Louise 4. Angela's Ashes 5. King of Comedy 6. V for Vendetta 7. Most Will Ferrell films 8. The Dukes of Hazzard 9. Godsend 10. American Pie 3+
  12. Never ?? I'm glad you know your own mind, but a film you loved when you were 10 or 11 staying number one for ever ???? Blimey ! In twenty years, you've never seen a better film ? Hmmm. In no particular order : 1. Twelve Angry Men 2. Se7en 3. The Shawshank Redemption (yes really) 4. Midnight Run 5. LOTR Trilogy (3, 1, 2) 6. Alien 7. Full Metal Jacket 8. Misery 9. Leaving Las Vegas 10. X Men Special mentions to The Next Three Days, Titanic, The Green Mile, Forrest Gump and The Truth About Cats and Dogs.
  13. 1of2 seems to have posted the same link twice. The prices thread is here.
