  1. Jason, I never told anyone to agree with me. I said "Please someone agree with me". There are people who agree with me and disagree with me, but not once did I attempt to tell anyone to agree with me. Ad Speaking as somebody who has played a fair bit of rugby I can only say that you, sir, have a lot to learn about being kicked in the teeth... Speaking as somebody who has trained with World Karate Champions, I can only say that you, Sir, have a lot to learn about being kicked continually in the head, body, and legs, as well as being thrown to the floor. Maybe's next time you make a comment like that you should think before you speak, as you dont know who you are talking to in terms of what a person does in their leisure time . . . Ad Already have lol. Was just making a point. put your hand bag's away ladies....

  3. Also, some people travel miles and miles to meet these guests, and being told you have to buy a photo-op ticket is like being kicked in the teeth. I travel to a lot of events in the UK and I live just outside Newcastle. I dont just live around the corner. When you attend other events you can have photo's with every guest!! Ad EDITED: Please do not mention the name of other events, even if they are overseas.
  4. Yeah, but I have been going to events like this for years, and since they started with these photo-ops the chance of getting a photo with the guest when you are actually meeting them is vastly disappearing. This is wrong. I used to get a photo with every single guest I met. Now I am lucky to get two words with them never mind a photo with them! Its madness.
  5. I believe it is quite crap how you pay all that money to get a signed item from a guest, then you are told you cant have a photograph with the guest, unless you buy a photo-op ticket. Whilst I understand autograph shows/events are run by businesses, this whole photo-op thing is just getting ridiculous because now it seems as though the only way to get a photo with the guest is to buy a photo-op ticket . . . what a con!!! PLEASE SOMEONE AGREE WITH ME!!! Ad
  6. As the topic title states; What Is Your Best Bargain Buy Item??? Have you bought something worth reasonably more than what it would normally have cost you??? Or did you get the item for FREE??? Autographs??? Props??? Whatever!! Anything!! To start off: I suppose my best bargain buys are; Tom Cruise Signed Photo from Days Of Thunder . . . I think!!! £10!!! Some Shadowmancer First Editions, Signed. Apparently worth over £4000 each now. Reservoir Dogs Signed One Sheet poster . . . £10!!! It is genuine, got it cheap through major clearance!!! Best Freebies; Newcastle United signed programmes etc. Some James Bond signed items. Whats yours??? Ad
  7. This topic is very, very similar to 'Most Treasured Autograph'. However, this topic is different in that I dont want to know your favourite, but something else!?! I want to know; 'What Is Your Most Expensive Autographed Item?' Eg, Is It a Princess Diana signature, or is it a Cast Signed Lord Of the Rings Poster?? I just thought it would be a good idea to separate 'Most Favourite/Treasured' & 'Most Expensive' Autographs. To start off, my most expensive pieces are: 1) A lithograph (No. 007/10) of a scene out of one of the Bond Movies, Signed at a Unicef event in Canada by: Roger Moore, Guy Hamilton, Richard Kiel, Britt Eckland, Nic Raine, Hilary Saltzman and the artist Michele Bell. 2) A Rolled Original Nightmare On Elm Street US One Sheet, Signed by Robert Englund, Heather Langenkamp, Amanda Wyss, and soon, Ronee Blakley and Charles Fleischer. 8. I would like to see the following Dawn Of The Dead Cast Members: David Emge Scott H Reiniger Richard P Rubinstein (Producer - Is He Still Alive - Really, I Dont Know??) Ad
  9. Each and every one of my autographs. Two favourites amongst a lot of favourites I have are auto's of Michael Jackson & Quincy Jones. Both Legends. I suppose the most personal item I own is the 21st Birthday Card I was given by a family member who works for Newcastle United. The Newcastle Team, of 2006, signed it! The family member in question said it took a lot of discussions etc to get everybody to sign it, as they never/very rarely do this (sign birthday cards), so for this reason it makes it even more special. 10. Heroes: Hayden x 4 £80 Jack x 2 £30 Milo x 3 £60 Adrian x 3 £60 Bond: Mads x 7 £140 LOTR: Dom x 1 £20 Danny Dyer x 2 £40 Tammer Hassan x 2 £FREE (Dont ask) £90 on a Banner and Poster £10 on two further posters £10 on two Heroes cast photo's Total: £520 Then food which prob totalled £40 Hotel £75 Train Tickets for my girlfriend and I £176 Overall Total: £811 Crap - more than I thought!!!
  11. All I have to say is this: Banning us from taking a photo of the guest, whilst in the queue and whilst the signing takes place, with the flash OFF, is ridiculous and pathetic. It takes no more time up!! Fair enough if it is the guest who actually comes out and states this request for no photo's, but otherwise, come on!!!
  12. The 'Heroes' thing was so badly dealt with. I completely understand the fact that the guys working on the event (NOT the organisers) had A LOT of supervising to do etc, but some of them didnt have a clue! And I do not lie; I took my girlfriend to this years event - bearing in mind she hates them, unlike me - and even she said that SOME of those handing out the tickets and trying to sort the queues out etc were bad, mis-informed and clueless, despite what experience they may or may not have had. With regards to the Early Bird Ticket situation: On the Saturday, I had to queue up in the main queue to get my Early Bird Ticket, as I didnt pre-book. Those who did pre-book were allowed entry before the main queue were allowed entry to buy their tickets. On the Sunday, I had Early Bird Tickets, which I bought on the Saturday. I thought I would be allowed entry before the main queue was allowed entry to buy their tickets. But, to my astonishment, when I entered Earls Court the main queue was being allowed entry!! Now what should have happened was this: All Early Bird Ticket holders allowed entry at the specified Early Bird entry time. The Ticket booth should have been open long before Early Bird opening times, so that if you wanted to buy an Early Bird Ticket, you could do so and then join the back of the Early Bird queue. I might as well have lined up in the main queue because I would have gained better virtual tickets for the 'Heroes', instead of having to make a mad rush to catch my train home . . . to Newcastle!! 13. Im pretty sure you didnt actually read what I said mate. I said that the venue was probably due to the date change, as there was a different convention taking place in the other, usual hall. I did not say it was Showmasters fault that the lighting was bad . . . And the amount of dealers was low, compared to normal, trust me, probably due to the date change. I go to loads of events, so If you read what I said again you will notice that I stated the fact that Showmasters usually put on great events. Yeah, this years LFCC was not that good, and a lot of the problems they faced were out of their control, but that is not to say they can not take note of peoples concerns. Ad
  14. Pros For this years LFCC I cant really give any about the actual show. The best guest: Mads Mikkelsen - he was so good with everyone! Posing for pictures with you etc! A genuinely nice guy! Cons Very disappointed. Saturday was OK in terms of seeing the guests. Sunday was terrible. Even though I got the autographs I wanted on both days, the venue was bad, but that was probably due to the date change, however, that hall was not even a hall! It was amazingly bad! The lighting was a disgrace and how many stall holders were there . . . not many at all!!! Showmasters usually put on very good events!!! Every business should provide feedback forms and take note of the positives and the negatives. As far as I am aware, Showmasters do not provide this service, as of yet. If Showmasters did provide this service, then I truly believe their events would improve, in that what happened at this years LFCC would not happen again. Ad PS Regarding that guy who said Gold Pass holders should be able to ignore the 'No Photo's' rule - GET REAL! Yeah, its a silly rule, but it is a rule. You can not break it . . . even though I know people got sly photos
  15. Hey, I managed to meet all four 'Heroes'. Got Adrian at 4:35, got the tube at 4:46 and I had a train to catch from Kings Cross back to Newcastle at 5:30! Amazingly manic end to the day! Theres nothing wrong in getting more than one autograph - I mean, how many times are you likely to meet these guys!? I got: Hayden x 4 Jack x 2 Milo x 3 Adrian x 3 They all made eye contact with me and were very polite and thankful, despite how stressed they were & despite the mad rush! I had a few words with Jack, great guy. Thanked Milo etc, very nice. Thanked Adrian etc, who returned the comments and more, which I was surprised at and very happy with! Hayden had her head down whilst signing etc, but as she finished I said the usual thank you's etc at which point she looked at me and said similar things - very, very nice girl - even though she was visibly stressed out, she still had the time to say the words she said to me . . . and she smiled - what a stunningly gorgeous girl!!! Also, when I gave my items for them to sign, I asked them to sign in certain places and directions and they all did what I asked!!! That was great for me!!! They were'nt like Carrie Fisher last year, who just signed anywhere!! She actually apologised to me for signing something I had before I could even take a breath!!! Anyway, back to 'HEROES' - all of them were great, even though it was horrendously busy. On very good authority, I have to give credit to Hayden, who was very stressed; more than the others. She was a bit upset and her agent (or the person who was looking after her) had to calm her down etc. Im not going to say what I was told, but something was wrong with how she was treat during the day (not the public), which could explain partly why she was a bit upset. 16. I got my Silver Sharpies from Canada. The art store I went to had a holy grail of sharpies - it was madness - loads of different colours! Also got some paint pens made by Elmers, got a load of them!! They're good! But where can I get GOOD QUALITY paint pens in the UK??? Ad
  17. What on earth has that got to do with it??? I wouldn't care if he was black, white, pink or blue!!! What I said in my first post about populations is true. Theres no hiding from those facts, sorry.
  18. I dont like the idea . . . Im not a racist by any means . . . but 'Bollywood' is such a rip off of HOLLYWOOD! The only reason so many people watch 'Bollywood' movies is because India DOES possess the second largest population in the world - over 1 BILLION!!! This . . . Compared to America's 250 Million, Canada's 20 Million, Britain's 60 Million, France's 55 Million & Germany's 80 Million . . . and so on . . . That doesn't even cover half of a billion! So I think that statement of '...more people watch 'Bollywood' than Hollywood...' needs to be looked at more closely.
  19. Eliza Dushku was at the Collectables show in Birmingham a few years back!!! I was there, but never met her!! What a dumb ass!!! Eliza Dushku was at the Collectables show in Birmingham a few years back!!! I was there, but never met her!! What a dumb ass!!! Whats up with that!?!?! Cant mention another event on here!
