  1. Finally a BTTF guest... shame I have to travel all the way to MK, but what can ya do.
  2. The thread title pretty much sums it up; just got back from the event and I have to say that she's even more stunning that I'd ever imagined. She looked phenomenal in her silky red dress, and (although she was running behind the Petrellis in signings) still took a second out to be friendly. Shame she wasn't personalising, and the Heroes cast was totally anti-photography, but what can you do... A great day all round, Milo and Adrian were friendly, chatty and overall the perfect Con. guests. Cheers to Showmasters for making this happen (but a change of venue for next year would be highly appreciated, perhaps one with some lighting would be nice.)
  3. It was *obscenely* dark in there. I kept finding myself drawn to the one light area in one far corner like a moth to a flame. For the first time ever I came away without making a single purchase (sans the two auto's I got) and a big part of that was that it's so difficult to browse with such low-level lighting. Everything seemed to blend together, boxes upon boxes of black Star Wars Gentle Giant statues...
  4. I had to work late Saturday and my press credentials never arrived so I had to go to the office Sunday morning before hitting the show. Darnit.
  5. I know people don't like the idea of pre-signed photos, but one of the main reasons I went yesterday was for Elijah Wood. Of course it's always better to actually meet the person, but since I was working Saturday and arrived late-ish on Sunday I was unable to get a signed Elijah pic. It's a shame because my LOTR auto. collection (Billy Boyd, John Rhys Davies, Sean Astin) won't be complete without a Frodo. Here's hoping for another Elijah appearance in the future...
  6. Long wait outside? Any problems getting to Elijah Wood? What time do the guests usually stop signing?
  7. Where did you find this out? Thinking of going down, checking it out, but not knowing the time is a pain...
  8. Me too, and with two of the people I was most excited to meet (Charisma / Ron). . Dammit
  9. Just checked the date today. Was looking forward to this for MONTHS but got it in my head that it was then end of July, not June. This effing sucks, especially considering it's my birthday Friday, that would have been a great start to the celebrations. Thanks for the sypathy. (dammit).
  10. Can't believe I missed this. Ron Pearlman. Charisma Carpenter. Sarah Clarke. When am I gonna' get another opportunity to meet those three? Dammit, dammit, dammit.
  11. Just setting off from London (stoopid coach). Have a good time y'all...!!!
  12. Hey there, I'm travelling in from London, so I wanted to ask a favour from any generous sould who lives near the event as was planning on getting there at opening. I'm a little worried that, since I wont be getting there until noon, all VQ tickets for the people I want will be gone. I was hoping that someone, after they had assured their own ticket of course, could pick up a second ticket for me. If this is at all possible I would appreciate it a great deal, I'll even go as far as to buy you a coffee. Just in case, my mob number is; 07906080416 Drop me a text if anyone happens to get an extra ticket for; James Marsters Jolene Blalock Sean Astin Anthony Head Thanks in advance, you lovely, lovely person. Ad.
  13. Yes, thank you sir, much appreciated.
  14. I want; James Marsters Sean Astin Jolene Blalock (Ohhhh yes) Possibly Anthony Head. Forsee any problems? How about the whole Virtual ticket thing, whats all that about? Virtual Queuing is a way to get in the queue for a guest without actually waiting around in a line for hours, you just take a ticket and wait until your number is up, then you can go meet the guest. Also, I am not certain but I predict James will be a very popular guest and if you arrive at midday dont be suprised if all his virtual tickets have gone. If this is the case then you will either have to wait around and hope that he will gets through everyone and goes too an open queue or that someone who cant wait around gives you their ticket otherwise you wont be able to meet them. As for the others, today Sean had an open queue by 2pm so you shouldnt have much trouble tomorrow but it sounds like Jolene was quite busy all day so arriving at midday my hurt your chances of getting to meet her, it all depends on how many people turn up tomorrow, it could be quieter than today or it could be alot worse. My advice is still the same as before, if you really want to meet the popular guests (like you do) get there as early as you can otherwise you will regret it. Cool, thanks for the help guy. Earliest I can actually get there IS bloody noon...So if anyone with a spare VQ ticket sees a dude from London gently sobbing in a corner next to Jolene Blalock's table, have a heart, I've had a bad day.
