  1. I've posted this elsewhere, but it's worth repeating. Everyone single one of the crew I spoke to was helpful, funny, and VERY patient. Great job guys, esp for me the ones at Nathon / Leonard on Sunday morning. Cheers
  2. After my initial disappointment of the venue - waiting in the rain for the door to open, and the cold and concrete miserable inside, my day was perked up by all the cos-role guys/gals. The Joker, Batman, Spiderman, the Stormtroopers who were having a great time interacting with everyone, and the Predator/Alien (who hissed at me and made me spill my coffee (lol) - my thanks go out to you all. Also to the crew who were universally friendly (especially the guys at Nathon Fillion & Leonard Nimoy on the Sunday morning). When the venue problems get sorted as listed by Jason, I'm sure this will become an outstanding event. All the best for the next one!
  3. For me, Andrew Robinson. What a nice guy - very friendly and happy to talk. My camera failed at the moment I was getting a photo with him, but he said he would be happy for me to come back later and try again. So after lunch I went back and he immediately smiled and joked about getting it fixed and posed for another go without any question. Got my photo - very happy!
  4. I mentioned Patrick a couple of pages ago. At least I think I did...... I meant to anyway!! Sadly Patrick died earlier this year in January.
  5. Would love to see some guests from the music world. Names that immediately spring to mind are: Deborah Harry Adam Ant Kate Bush
  6. Yes, odd that an actor dis-owns his defining role, and one of the greatest screen interpretations of Dracula ever made?? I'd definitely like to meet him, provided he'd sign some Hammer photos
  7. Ian Ogilvy - Witchfinder General - excellent!!!!
  8. A few more suggestions. Fiona Fullerton Honor Blackman Christopher Lee Anyone from CSI (LV) and X-Files Lance Henriksen Terry O'Quinn Megan Gallagher
  9. The UK is sadly overdue for a decent Horror con. The iconic stars of the Hammer/Amicus era are not getting any younger - witness the sad passing of Hazel Court earlier this year, and I would love to meet at least some of them. There is an enormous pool of seriously great actors/directors from later films that would also satisfy most of us gore-hounds! Come on Showmasters, give it a go, put yourself out on a (dis-membered?) limb, experiment - BE BOLD!!
  10. Hammer Horror guests pleeeeeeeeeeeease!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. Lance Henriksen - please! - missed him at Manchester Alexandra Bastedo - missed her at Autograpica Gillian Anderson David Duchovny Mitch Pileggi - don't think I missed them anywhere, but would love to meet them
  12. Have to agree with everyone here; good albeit brief experience - he's gave a smile and eye contact when we went to the desk, and did the same again with a thank you after he signed. Seemed like a genuinely nice guy who tried very hard to welcome everyone even though he was initially very busy. Top man!
  13. Don't know how you could guess - but Clint would get my vote
  14. Millennium rocks!! Just going to have to think of a way to get there now
  15. I was gutted I missed seeing Michelle Pfeiffer at the Stardust premier - I didn't bother going as I thought she would be one of the two cast members not appearing (de Niro as the other one). I know it's unlikely she would have signed anything there, but wow would that have been something if she had . Anyway I'd also like to vote for Neil Gaiman - (good suggestion Theoden) - perhaps LFACC would be the better venue? as I'm sure 'Comic' is in there somewhere!!
  16. Maybe it was just because I had a cold, or maybe it was just because there was no-one there I desperately wanted to see, but did anyone else feel C12 was just a little bit dull? Even the people giving out v.t. seemed really bored by the whole affair, not knowing or even caring when the guests were due to start signing. No effort was made to organise the queues until two minutes before 10 when the people milling around were staring to block the shop fronts. Not that there were that many people attending on the Sunday, nice for wandering around the trade stalls and the fact most of the guests were open queues by 11:30, but?? Kudos to the cosplayers though - they were troopers (some literally!), always happy to stop and chat and have photos taken - nice one.
  17. Jewel Staite - what a lovely lady. Disappointed she wasn't allowing posed photos on the Sunday even though it was an open queue.
  18. Saw her on Sunday, and she seemed pleasant enough - happy to pose for a photo and smiled and chatted for a bit. People must be very disappointed not to get the photo they want when they pay good money for it. The celebs must know what's expected of them, and what to expect from the fans, so if they don't want to do it, why bother turning up?
  19. Got to say it's already shaping up pretty well, but would love to see CSI - Las Vegas + Charmed guests
  20. Excellent - one of the few Firefly/Serenity stars I wanted to meet. Well done Showmasters!!
  21. Well said Cher2a; the Comic side of LFCC does seem to be taking a bit of a back seat. I don't buy comics, but am in awe of the artwork these guys do. I would love to meet : Joe Linsner John bolton
  22. Great idea, missed him at the last Comic Con(?) and would definitely like to meet him.
  23. Aw, come on how many are going to see the Cheeky Girls just out of curiosity? You know you want to!!
