  1. Let's just hope she means our Birmingham, not Alabama!
  2. Based on previous events I'd assume you'll have to buy the photos for signing seperately
  3. I don't think you can really compare the two events, that event compared to DST is like comparing LFACC to Newcastle or Cardiff. To be honest, I could live without loads more signing guests but I would like to see more in the way of exclusive panels/events, something to give this show more of a unique identity.
  4. I'm glad they put a list up, I know we had the pre-order prices but it's a lot easier when you don't have to keep subtracting £5 each time!
  5. I was thinking of a LoG item as well. I got lucky when the League of Gentleman's Apocolypse came out on DVD because the four of them did a signing in the HMV on Oxford Street but the downside of a DVD is it's quite hard to display! I remember when the first Lucifer Box novel came out, he did a signing in Forbidden Planet in London and there was hardly anyone there, how times change compared to his autograph queue at Sherlocked!
  6. In other breaking news, David Cameron has resigned!
  7. He personalised at the last show (it was offered, not people chancing their arm and asking)
  8. I feel bad now, I can't say I ever even read that tag line and even if I had I'm not sure it would have played much of a part in my decision to go to the event or not!
  9. The pre-order site does seem to have prices up now
  10. Currently watching Tom (would also be a great guest by the way!) making a fool of himself at the wedding reception regarding the meat dagger while flipping through my autographs and photoshoots from the last show, roll on the 17 days time!
  11. I wonder if the guest list might be complete now, barring a late Freeman or Cumberbatch addition. The Andrew Scott email didn't mention about any more announcements to come.
  12. I think I read somewhere that some of the casting details for Discovery were due to be announced in October. So far the other two official events this year have had new details about the show so it's possible we may see something at DST
  13. I'm less enthused by the pants party given most of the guests are blokes! I'm not even sure the cake would persuade me there!
  14. It's been interesting that with a few weeks to go, That a couple of big names have been announced for Sherlocked, might be that as we get closer to DST that a few more names crop up
  15. I am hoping they might have some exclusives similar to some of the things they have at the other official events. Not necessarily just things with the event logo on but other sorts of items. I was at another event connected with a well known franchise (I'll allude to it as it did seem Showmasters staff were working at the event!) and they had a lot of unique merchandise available specific to that show. I've also seem Sherlocked has something similar. Be good to see something like that here.
  16. I don't think they really had queues for the free talk area, it wasn't a roped off area or anything. Might be my memory playing tricks but I'm not sure if they even cleared the area after each talk.
  17. Nice timing, yesterday I got a ticket for his performance of Hamlet next year, today he is announced for Sherlocked!
  18. Certainly at past events the vendors haven't had huge selections of unsigned photos for sale and the ones that have been available have been nearly all ST ones.
  19. I'm sure they will have a lot of takers for them but don't think this one is for me!
  20. It is a difficult one, I got my copy of the Sherlock Chronicles signed by a couple of guests at the last show but I made a decision that I was going to keep that just for behind the scenes people so I got it signed by Steven, Sue, Mark and Arwel last time. I'm trying to stick to that one though, up until recently I used to collect all my Star Trek autographs in a hard back book and frankly I got sick of lugging the damned thing round with me! The difficulty I have with a lot of Sherlock pictures and posters is that they mostly just feature Benedict and Martin which is all well and good but if it's not possible to get them on it, it can look a bit odd (just my opinion of course!) that's why I went with the door image, I figured it's not character specific do its not the end of the world if they aren't on it. The other Abominable Bride poster I've seen is one that's done in the style of the Basil Rathbone era posters. That one also has pictures of Amanda and Rupert on it and as I quite like the 1949s films it does seem like a good one. Decisions decisions!
  21. I was trying to think of some sort of pun where it could relate to him but came up blank. Certainly hope if it is him he doesn't turn up like Richard III and ends up trying to kill everyone, that would really put a dampner on the mood of the event!
  22. Perhaps it will be a display of Watson's moustaches
  23. I've been starting to give some thought to this. At the first event I got individual publicity 10x8s and started a multi-signed 10x8 of the Baker Street door. Regretting not getting a bigger version of that now as there isn't masses of room left on it! I think I'll get 10x8s of the new individual guests again and the new ones on the door picture as well, but not sure what to do for the ones I already have. I'm thinking about trying to get the poster for the cinema release of The Abominable Bride, although it's not my favourite episode of Sherlock by any means, it has Natasha O' Keefe in a fairly central position, plus as it has a white background there will be a decent amount of background for signatures to stand out on it.
  24. This is good news, one of the few main cast they didn't have at the last show. They've done a very good job with guests over the two events.
