  1. Did you Murph?! Sorry to be really rubbish if you did actually introduce yourself, but I don't remember this at all - who were you?
  2. You did great! And your sunny disposition made waiting in line much more enjoyable than it otherwise would have been Thank you that's very lovely of you to say! I really enjoyed myself, was a bit nervous to be given a Stan Lee queue job but you lot were all great and knew what you were doing... Also Wookie I think you're alright too
  3. D4vem88 and Zagreus you are both incredibly sweet, thank you very much. Sometimes show-days can be full of quite thankless tasks, obviously we do it for kicks not for thanks, but it is very lovely to be remembered all the same! I crew most shows, come say hi next time. I think I probably was too busy to chat this weekend (didn't get a chance to see half my crew buddies!) but for better or for worse, most of our events aren't on quite the same scale as LFCC...
  4. Haha, maybe at LFCCW you'll now be doing your own auto's and photo's I usually have at least half a dozen sharpies on me at a show, and I'll sign for 50p and a biscuit. Seriously though, I'm at pretty much all the events except Glasgow, come say hi next time!
  5. Haha, the first one's definitely me (glad I could help!), the second one's either me or one of the other lovely ladies in the area across the afternoon. I was the one with the pink lanyard and not in a crew shirt, because I was actually at the venue early to do something else and got distracted... Yes! And I crossed paths with you on Saturday as you were off to another area? Quite possibly, I was literally everywhere on Saturday and it's all something of a blur. I was incognito in a yellow dress dashing around the autograph areas all day doing stuff for the show.
  6. Thank you very much to you two as well, reading things like this really does make it all feel worthwhile! If there was a crew school you'd definitely be top of the class. I have a new favourite attendee, thank you again!

  9. haha you say this but the girl on Friday morning in the Stan Lee area controlling the queue told me and my friends she didn't know who Stan Lee was until earlier that day but he seemed kinda cool .... don't get me wrong she was lovely, chatty, friendly, kept control of the queue but unfortunately your idea of volunteers being better maybe isn't always the case as she didn't know the main guest I am totally happy with volunteers and would rather a fan of the event be there but at the end of the day SM need to ensure all volunteers have the info especially the Organisers Desk who should have every answer - they don't and that comes down to SM training ? not the individuals ... that's what I think is important - I would never have a go at an individual as they can only do what they have been told by the company they represent Hi guys - I'm Rachel, it was me doing Stan Lee's queue on Friday afternoon. I stay off the forum after events because frankly I'm too exhausted not to take all the negativity personally so I'm sorry I haven't read the whole thread. But my friend told me this post was here and if I can just clarify one thing before it escalates - I did know who Stan Lee was. I didn't know of him before he was announced for the event, because I don't watch many films or read any comic books, but the entire crew has been mocking me about this for months because they were all desperately excited to meet him. We've been building up to this event all year, I am aware of his general career trajectory! I think I only mentioned it to one or two people who asked me specific questions about his work, because I had to fess up that I wasn't familiar with it. We're not all into everything - I spent Sunday working at the YALC and could've told you anything you wanted to know about any of the writers there. I am a massive geek, I attended for years before I started crewing so I know exactly what it's like to come into an event like this as an attendee. We all do this because we love it, I can completely 100% assure you of that. Thank you ever so much for the kind words though, it really does make the tiredness and sore throat worth it. I get my kicks from helping people have the best possible experience at our events and it is deeply lovely to be remembered positively, when I was essentially background noise at the beginning of what I'm sure was a very busy weekend for you all! And now I'm off if that's okay...
  10. Every guest who had a shoot before 11am had a second shoot later in the day so no one would have to buy early bird, or panic if they couldn't get through the queue in time. I don't think it would be feasible starting later because we were running all the way through the day, with the last shoots scheduled to finish just before 6pm - there wouldn't be time to get through everyone if we didn't get a head start on the bigger guests in the morning. :)
  11. Hi everyone - I'm not actually Dutch, but living in Amsterdam and studying at UvA, so I thought I'd wander in and say hello. I'll be crewing all three days and can't wait! Not looking forward to the Megabus trip to London quite so much, but I'm flying back to Schiphol to catch my Monday classes and save what's left of my sanity. Hope you all have a wonderful time at the event!
  12. Hiya! My friend poked me towards this thread with a cackle, because she knows I have occasionally proposed marriage to attendees paying with fivers, depending on how desperate I am at the time. But thank you ever so much, it's lovely to be remembered (for positive reasons!) My name's Rachel.
  13. Berber Anna, you look different in your avatar but I'm assuming it was you - there can't have been that many 50s style TARDIS dresses with amazing flashy hats - but I spotted you at the end of the day and LOVED your outfit, it was an amazing costume and you looked gorgeous!
  14. Ahhh, me too Rhi! *continues refreshing page and contributing to inevitable forum crash*
